So this thread is what every teacher english/mythology in highschool taught you about, and if you didn't read the subject then you have no right to be here, go home. I don't expect full papers detailing your reasoning behind your logic, but a few sentences that detailed how you came to your conclusion, and maybe how it effects the overall story would be nice, also sources. There is a reason this is in Srs Bzns, because, baby, it's business time.

I don't know exactly how to explain this, but I like the symbolism in the dream states, such as when they are on Derse/Prospit. How to explain this...
Such as when Sollux died in his real body, he then became his dream self, his "extra life" (ignore the fact that he had two extra lives XD). I think this is symbolism towards the Afterlife or Heaven, that we die and come to another place where we have another life (whether it's heaven (Prospit?) or hell (Derse?) or whatever a religion believes in an afterlife). I always thought that was interesting. As if we can see the afterlife sort of in our dreams (which is sometimes true I guess) O:
Did anyone understand what I meant? It's this somewhat formed idea in my mind that I've really taken a liking to.

Oh, got another one. I've been learning about "Hero's Journeys" in my Mythology class at college. The steps go as so:
1. Leave "ordinary consciousness" (meaning you don't actually have to GO anywhere to start a Hero's Journey... take Dorothy for instance, she had a journey through a dream in the world of Oz) 2. Meet "fabulous" forces (meaning that the "force" doesn't have to be mythical, it could be an ordinary person that somehow changes you on your journey) 3. Victory (this is obvious) 4. Return and Share (this step's a little strange to me because my teacher says that you can die after your victory and still have a hero's journey)
So, for the Trolls' session, their hero's journey looks something like: 1. Entering SGRUB session 2. The imps, their planets, the consorts, the King and Queen, Jack Noir, etc. 3. Defeating the Black King (although they didn't get their prize, still a victory I would guess) 4. Returning and sharing with the humans who are basically going through the same ******** thing.
Anyone got any other good Hero's Journeys they can come up with? Hero's Journeys can be small too, they don't have to be a big drawn out journey like the one above.
