I was wondering, if I wanted to create a garden that enhances peace and tranquility, while improving happiness, what would I have to plant?
And If I worded this wrong, please try to make sense out of what you think it means then answers. I know I have a problem wording things.

One of my favorite plants to put into a garden is actually also an herb. I love chives. Green Onion chives are used in a lot in the soups and as garnishes in many of my cooking that I do. razz They are very pretty when they bloom, and are fun to touch! They are very smooth. I like chives a lot. They make me happy, so maybe they will make you happy as well.
If you don't like onions, I could then maybe suggest poppies. Poppies are special because they just won't die. These plants are fire proof, even after they are burned, their seeds are still good! They symbolize so many things. Because they have four petals (depending on the species 4-6) they symbolize the four seasons, the wheel of the year, the endlessness of time (expecially because they spread) and because they are annuals. Meditating on the idea and knowledge that time goes on and on can be quite peaceful. It improves happiness by knowing that no matter what, you'll always have certain things in your life that are constant.
Beware: Once you plant poppies they spread a little bit, and are difficult if not impossible to get rid of. Someone told me you can eat poppies! If so, its the flower that keeps on giving. Check it out, I could be wrong, but it would be fun to look into. Poppies are easy to grow, require full sun. Chives that I grew were in partial shade, so you have your choices.
