Made this thread for the recent influx of new guild members.
Some tips from me for creating enjoyable (or at least bearable) characters for the purpose of this guild's main roleplay:

- Unless you have a very good justification, make them realistic. Powers and stuff are cool and acceptable in the Gaia universe, but don't make your character (powers-wise) a god(dess) incarnate. That's frowned upon and annoying.
- Try not to shoehorn yourself into a higher-authority position when starting out. I don't think it's -too- likely that anyone's family would have close ties to the Kuro Gang unless they are obscenely rich/powerful/etc. The majority of elves working for the Kuros can be broken down into two categories: powerful dark-elven supremacists or street urchins. You may get some who don't fit into either, but they are far and few between.
- It's okay to have a 'normal' character background. It's also okay to realistically portray the negative impacts of the *omgfountainofangst* past that people like using lately. It's even better when you can work it into the plot the RIGHT way.
- Fanservice is fine. Lack of fanservice is fine too. Just don't go overboard.
- No weeaboo/powerfantasy bullshit. Please?
- Nationalities work in a really strange way in the Gaian universe, one that contradicts the real world. Try not to think too hard about the origins of Russian, British or Italian elves.

I'll add more if I come up with anything else. Have fun!
