I'm just going to list off stuff. Hahaha.

-- I thought about doing a 'magical' 'fantasy' 'girly' type shop cause that seems to be popular, like you know. Fairies, elves, stuff like that with bright happy colors.
-- I also wanted to make a Digimon gijinka shop. Hahaha.
-- Something with royals/jesters/kingdom sort of thing.
-- Also thought about doing something based off Dr. Seuss.
-- And if you've read The Golden Compass, I thought about that as well.
-- Medieval?
-- Victorian?
-- Heaven/Hell thing, but I've always wanted to do my own version of this regardless of other shops that already do it. Hahaha.
-- Fruit gijinkas. Ahahaha. Just because I love fruit.
-- Also, I'm sure you saw the old Disturbia thread I was discussing with Tox/Shiva and a long-time friend of mine Muri. That was something dark/sinister that I reaaaaaaally enjoyed coming up with. Though it would require a LOT of work still.
-- Something based off Beetlejuice, that whole dead living with the living and stuff like that.
-- I had an idea for a shop called Paper Magic, which would be like origami figures/creatures/monsters that come to life.
-- A shop that had to do with colors.
-- A cemetery shop. (You might notice I really like dark/dead things. Hahaha.)
-- Something with alien invasion.
-- Or instead of alien invasion, just an alien world type deal.
-- This idea is actually an RP plot idea I had on an old forum I used to be a part of, but basically it's in the future where our world is extremely digital and stuff but there's a virus that causes black mutations/stuff. It was divided into sections where those living on the bottom level were the poorest and as you rise up the levels, the more noble the bloodline gets. So those living at the top are 'royal'. The setting: think The Jetsons and Tron combined except more white/black. Haha.
-- This one just came to me, but something similar to the feel of a children's book. Like, soft and kind of playful? Extremely vague, I know. Haha.
-- Something with thieves/bandits.
-- Something with pirates. (Gaia has a great deficiency in pirates sad to say. :T)
-- Some sort of dream world.
-- Limbo?
-- Gods/Goddesses? Something to do with ancient myths/legends. I've always liked that stuff.
-- Deals with the devil/demons, I like that sort of stuff too. Hahaha.
-- Things in jars. I wrote that down vaguely a long time ago. lol.
-- This list really could go on and on and on.... (Can you imagine the difficulty I had in choosing RM out of everything? xD)

So I'll stop there. Hahaha. Just tell me which you like/don't like/why and all that stuff.

And feel free to make a list of your own so I can do the same. : D

Also, did I mention that I love that you're a Shnazz-fan. ;___; <3
I've always been a Saint-Cinq's writing fan. I love reading your prompts/journal.

Oooh! 8D These are some awesome ideas. Hmm, why not play to your strengths? Dark and sinister sounds fine to me. :3

I've read the Golden Compass~ it's good! That might be an interesting idea to run with, the daemons really were some of my faves as a kid.

I also like the cemetery idea-- I live by one, so I've been thinking about them more-- would you do ghosts in stages haunting/possessing people, or make a town full of people where having a ghost companion is totally normal? I like this one a lot.

Fruit gijinkas would be hilarious. xD

Disturbia looks really cool! 8D And yeah, I did see that a while back. It does seem like it would require a lot more work, still, and I'd feel like I was coming in and stepping on people's toes creatively, having not been involved with that as much previously. :/ But I do like the idea.

What would a color shop be? Like a spectrum deal? :3 I'm interested in this. Also I love origami. <3

I like this RP idea for the digital bloodlines! 8D Shnazz, dude, you have some pretty kickass ideas. I love the binary aspect to it between white and black, too.

Oooh, pirates! I like it, but I don't know how this would happen as an overall shop, though. :/ Same with thieves. Unless you had a pirate ship or a thieves' guild, maybe? Like had a city or a sea overrun by them, so much that they became a dominant force instead of the law? Sort of like a villains rule the world deal.

Demon pacts would be very cool. 8D Sinister and I think that draws people in, too. I also like combination shops, where you can merge two disjoint things together-- like something magical with a more physical manifestation to anchor it to the real world, like the demon of a lake with a pencil sharpener, making it have new powers or having the owner need to hide /take care of the manifest item because when it's damaged, the demon can be freed and eat their soul without fulfilling their contract. Or something. xD

I love myths and legends, but it would take a very good idea to make it into something original and fresh. A lot of B/Cs overuse this, so we'd need to be really careful.

Dreams in jars, maybe? Dreams coming into the real world and slowly taking form? I like it because you could split it into the heaven/hell dichotomy almost-- the sweet dreams could lend themselves more to the cute side, but there would be room for nightmares as well. Maybe they'd give their owners a special power in the dreamworld/ dreamworld is being threatened and dreams are recruiting real people to help?

Or were you thinking more scientific experiments in jars? You could also do cute stuff in jars, too. xD /feels like she's suggested mostly dark things.

Well, I think RM was a good choice! 8D I like its wackiness. This is really exciting~ I like a lot of these and can see them going in some cool directions.

Aww! <3 Thank you! I like that you actually take time to read the journals I write; a lot of shop owners don't. xD I'm glad we're friends~

The only issues I have with going on that dark/sinister side is it's harder to do more colorful things as well. I like having the option to do what I want artistically. xD;
This is where my vast sea of likes comes at a disadvantage. I like too many things. Hahaha.

I'm just not sure how to make the Golden Compass idea more interesting. It would just be humans and daemons... Unless it was like... You start out as a kid (10-12), and then the next stage is the daemon choosing one form as you become a teen. And it could be an alternate world where the human/daemon would fuse together. So instead of how they did our world in which we couldn't see our daemons and how in Lyra's world the daemon was a separate being, in this world it would be the daemon and human fusing together and having two minds in one body sort of. Obviously the human would take on attributes of the chosen animal form. I think that would be really cool. But. It'd be limiting to only draw half-animal, half-human things. And I would get really bored. <.<

Yes. Fruit gijinkas is funny. :B <3

Nah, you wouldn't be stepping on any toes with Disturbia. Though even with that, it's highly unlikely for this to be the idea of choice because of how much work it needs done still. And that's after a lot of brainstorming and idea-writing I spent on it already. It's still one of my favorite ideas. Haha.

I'm pretty terrible at drawing sci-fi things though. So I was just throwing it out there. xD

Pirates/thieves would be hard things to work out... I think thieves would probably be more doable. There'd be more variety in the types of thieves there could be. But eh, I don't think I would want to work on this as much as some other things. Though there was a shop with villains ruling the world, Melancholy. I think I remember you winning their flatsale but the owner disappeared. Too bad about that. :/

Yeah. Demon pacts are a crowd-pleaser. Haha. And now that I've said that, I've lost interest in it. lol.

Yeah, I was thinking experiments in jars. Hahaha.

I actually got an idea while I was on the train for something with myths/legends/spirits. It's silly but. lol. Here it is: there's this magical train that flies to this city in the sky where all sorts of different spirits live and there are a few different islands with different themes. Think Kingdom Hearts, each island is like a different world but they're all in close vicinity to each other. I just thought it was hilarious. But yeah, you don't have to take it seriously. xD

There were actually some ideas I really like that I forgot to mention in that long list:
-- A fantastical magician that summons spirits into masks. The masks come alive and yadda yadda. The fun thing I was thinking about this was that for the first few stages they wouldn't be able to remove the mask and are mute, eventually of course they can remove it and talk and what not. Though talking would come first. I really mostly got this idea from Studio Ghibli films though, I really loved Mononokehime and then I also wanted very badly to do a No Face mask. That was actually what I wanted to name the shop. I am really quite the dork as you can see. xD
-- This other one is kind of... Complicated like Disturbia. I was working on it around the time I'd made BoS but just never felt my art was good enough to put it into the works. It gist of it is though that you would receive a cross and across one length of it is a number and then across the width there's something else. And it's like summoning beings from different worlds, the number determines which portal/world it comes from and the other thing is its species or something like that. I can't remember. I have to find my notes on it. lol. But it's basically in a world I made up, it's in jeopardy or something and it's summoning creatures from other worlds to help. I think.

I actually wanted to combine the cemetery idea with the whole Beetlejuice thing. I haven't really figured out how things would work though... I have to think about that more.

But did anything stick out to you as your favorite? Did you have any of your own shop ideas?

Yeah, I think most shop owners don't pay that much attention. Hahaha. Probably cause they have a lot of owners.
I'm glad we're friends too. D: /cling

Okay, I can see your point with not doing only sinister stuff. Sorry it's taken me a little while to get back to you, but I finally have a little bit of free time in between classes.

I like the train idea! 8D I once had a dream of a silver train that could take you between places-- all you had to do was to find the station. <3 I keep meaning to do something with that someday, so needless to say, I think that the idea of a train as a means of magical transportation would be mad school for me. I'd like this as a setting, if it would work with the type of B/C we decide to try. :3

Masks! 8DDD Okay, I am a big fan. I was actually thinking of this book (by Nancy Farmer-- it's scifi a little bit, but I read it for school a while back-- called "The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm". It's about a detective agency where the three protagonists put on masks to assume different powers.) I like the idea of the masks coming to life to, though I think it would be interesting to have some sort of bond with the guardian character, too, like when they put it on, they get some powers, but the mask stays a living thing that can do things on its own, too. Like...I guess the closest thing is the weaponry from Soul Eater, at a stretch.

I'll type more up later, but I've gotta run to probability. >_____> /laaaate!

It's okay Cinq. I know you're busy. (:

Yeah. I'm really loving the train thing.
Ahahaha. I think trains are magical. :T
Not that using them to commute everyday has anything at all to do with it. :B;
I think right now that's one of my top choices. Hahaha.

I actually like your idea of the masks giving the user an ability. I think inevitably it would have to be one or the other though, turning into live spirits or masks that give the user abilities and/or sort of fuse with them. If you get what I mean. :B

Yeah, but I still want to make time for this. :3

Me too! I don't run into them too much for commuting, but I see a lot of freight trains over here and I love them. 8D There's just something about how prevalent trains still are, even though technology's state would make you think that they would have been left behind that gives them an off-the-beaten-track kind of mystique. 8DDD Also I love train stations.

So for the train idea, what would the characters look like? Like people from the real world who got onto this train and then get transported to one of these floating islands, or would everyone be from one of the islands to start with?

Mmm, yeah, I can see that being a little overwhelming for the mask idea. :/ But I do still like the idea a lot. > /// <

I like your cross idea as well! : D Sorry I didn't get to comment on everything before-- I had to run when I typed that. So this would be more like a guardian spirit or creature that a character could call; I like that! Do you remember what the world would be like from this one? Like, is it close to modern day, but more apocalyptic and dystopian, was there a specific event or certain backstory that changed in the world to set this up? Or is this a completely fictional world in distress? 8D The novel thing I'm working on is an urban dystopian fantasy, so this kind of thing intrigues me a lot.

It would be spirits I think. Not humans. Humans wouldn't even know it existed. so it leaves a lot to the imagination. It could be spirits in nature or spirits of... I don't know. Think Spirited Away. 8D;
As you can see I'm a huge fan of Studio Ghibli. Hahaha.

But yeah. I don't know what kind of setting the real world would be in. I was thinking maybe Renaissance. Or Victorian. Just to change things up. The last two shops I made were both modern setting. xD;
I need to break out of that habit of just shoving everything into the present day.

I remember it being just a regular old fantasy world. And the guy who was doing it was a wizard/magician. Nothing special. I mean. I guess I could come up with something more elaborate and less 'shoving this here just to open a shop'. Hahaha. Cause at the time I actually couldn't come up with a really striking story idea for it.

I also really like the whole urban dystopian fantasy thing. Probably why I still partially want to do that future sci-fi one with the virus. xD

I don't know. Did you have any ideas for shops you wanted to do? Besides the one you started your IT for.
Unless that's something you want to do now. I can help you out with that if you want. (:

EDIT:
I just had idea for the train thing. What if the spirits can also be reincarnations of gods/legends/myths? Like reincarnation of Zeus or Sun Wu Kong or other well-known characters?
And then you could also do things like unicorns/phoenixes/dragons. And then other things like cemetery spirits or ocean spirits, moon spirits.
And then I had an idea for meta stuff of spirits from outer space, like alien spirits. xD
I don't know, let me know what you think.

EDIT AGAIN:
AND what if the train was actually come from all over the place? What if these islands were in a sort of limbo/paradise thing? 8D;;;
And the train goes all over the universe to gather spirits from alternative worlds and other dimensions to bring them to this sort of spirit sanctuary?
