Well.. I'm a pretty soft spoken person, I prefer not to bring attention to myself, and with good reason, my blindness usually does that for me, as well as my seeing eye dog, Rhodri. Not being able to see, I'm also not very judgmental of others, but gaining my trust can be rather difficult, and if you break that trust, well getting it back is even harder, I'm very careful about who I give my trust to. I'm also the last person you'd see in a fight, unless someone attacks me first, I'm not a very 'incendiary' person, so to speak, in fact, I'd say I'm rather kind and polite.
Like any normal person, I can be put out at times, and I have my different emotions, but I usually keep them hidden behind a mask, unwilling to show myself to those I do not trust. I also have a pretty large personal bubble, I don't really like people touching me, especially people I don't know. I try to remain optimistic at all times, but I give in to pessimism pretty quickly sometimes...
Rhodri, my seeing eye dog, is very protective of me and will usually growl at those we don't know, or who he doesn't trust. He never leaves my side, and I usually trust his judgment, dogs can be good at understanding people's personalities...
ѕтσяу σƒ му ℓιƒє:
I was born in Shibuya, Japan, a ward, or region of Tokyo. I was born blind, so my mother soon decided that it would be better to move away from the busy region, knowing that Shibuya would not be very welcoming to someone who was blind, if the scramble crossing was any example. Luckily for her, her job with an international company offered her a position at one of their offices in Canada. She took the position and moved me there. However, she was rather unsatisfied with the busyness of the cities there too, and although there were plenty of schools for the blind, she decided to quit her job and buy a house up in the northern portion of B.C.
She found a nice house on a lake and took a job at a local diner in order to support us. I remember thinking as I was growing up that my dad was more than a bit of a jerk for leaving my mother to support the two of us alone, not even sending so much as a card for my birthday or something. My mother didn't speak of him much.
Living by a lake, I learned to swim pretty early in life, but my mother was always very overprotective of me, she would never let me go anywhere unless she could see me, and the baby-sitter was always ordered to make sure I didn't stray from their sight. Living up in a rural area, there were no special schools for me to attend, and my mother wasn't willing to send me to any special boarding school, if any existed, she never bothered looking.
Of course, that meant I was forced to go to the local school, and all of my books had to be translated to brail for me. I had a special computer program too that would read out web pages and such to me. When I went to high school, I was rather annoyed as it meant that I had to learn the layout of a new place, learn to count my steps. By that time I had Rhodri, and my mother would let me go anywhere as long as he was with me, but I couldn't bring him to school of course. That was when I met Rowan, a boy in my grade who walked with crutches. He became my best friend, and we would often joke that we were the perfect friends because we were both forced to carry around some kind of cane. I remember that Rhodri always seemed to think that Rowan was some sort of toy at first, my mother usually had to call him off.
We eventually graduated together, but my mother was reluctant to let me leave, so she made me stay at home for a year. Rowan moved away, and I didn't 'see' him again until the fateful day when I found out that I was a demi-god.
That day was pretty weird. I had been out in the woods on the shore of the lake with Rhodri when suddenly he started growling furiously, in a tone I had never heard before, it sounded monstrous. Suddenly there was the sound of hooves and someone pushed me into the lake. I had no idea what was going on, but after a moment, somebody grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the lake before they began to drag me along, Rhodri at my side, hovering protectively. He didn't seem to have a problem with whoever had hold of my hand, so I figured he was safe to trust. I found out later it was Rowan. We managed to escape whatever had attacked us, but then Rowan told me that I was a demi-god and that I had to go to some place called Camp Half-Blood and well, here I am.

Wait, you're asking the blind guy to describe what he looks like? Kinda hard don't you think? Ah whatever, I'll just say what Rowan once said to me.
'You're about 5 foot 2 inches, which is about 157 cm. You're slenderly built and you kind of look like you don't eat enough you're that skinny. Your platinum blonde hair is kind of long and either messy, or spiked. Your mother styled it didn't she? Never mind, don't answer that. And since you can actually see what clothes your mother buys you, I might as well tell you, it's mostly jeans and patterned t-shirts, although I have seen you in a suit a couple of times.
Well there you have it. Oh, and by the way, my left ear is pierced and I weigh about 120lbs

Well, being blind and all, I can't really fight, so I usually rely on Rhodri. I do have a ring that turns into a shield though.

Well, I'm a pretty good cook, and I'm a pretty good swimmer and I can canoe, but only if somebody is with me.
As for my hobbies, it's all outdoorsy stuff, particularly swimming and playing with Rhodri, although I also enjoy walking in the woods to listen to the sounds of nature.
