The note on the door says 'DO NOT ENTER', but you ignore it and walk in anyways. You find a desolate room in which the floor is completely bare and coated with dust that seems as though it had been undisturbed for years. Strangely, a fire burns in the hearth. As you look at it, a booming voice calls out from behind you, "Can't you read?!" You turn to see the guild captain glaring at you. "This room is off limits!" Suddenly, the door slams shut and the fire goes out. A strange, soft cackling is heard as if it came from everywhere at once and nowhere at all.

You look around, but as your gaze falls on the guildmaster, his face is filled with horror. He looks at you and whispers, "What have you done?" Then he is swallowed by a dark cloud. Behind you, a small door appears.

You look around and see a leather bag and a small, silver key. Inside the bag is some bread, 500 silver(currency), and a canteen of water. There is more loud cackling. The guildmaster's voice sounds in your ear. "You have entered a different world. To escape, you must face many trials and emerge victorious. I will guide you in mind along this journey. I cannot be with you in body, for this is your adventure. Take this bag and key. Then, you may begin your epic quest."

You unlock the door and the dark room dissolves around you. You find yourself in the middle of a field of wheat. The sky above is a dark grey and the piercing light of a purple sun cast an ominous glow across the land. "This world is in great danger. You have been chosen to be it's new hero. The path forward is yours alone to decide, but you do not need to walk it alone." In the distance, you see something shiny sticking out of the ground. Further along, there is a farm house.
