As I read through the TES forums I frequent, Tesadventures and the Official Bethesda forums the one topic that has come up the most is if Skyrim will be late. The short answer is absolutely not.

But of course its not that easy, onto the long both comforting and reassuring part that includes details! Key or major details will be in caps.

A few thousand gamers have PLAYED Skyrim at conventions, this was a modified however still authentic version of the game that Bethesda confirms Skyrim and it's entirity could be accessed in however given every gamer was given 15 minutes to play before the system would reset for the next person to play no one obviously made it to Solitude from Riverwood. Second; Pete Hines has addressed this no less than five times on twitter and in an interview, Skyrim is ON TIME for a November 11th release. Pete Hines is the Vice President of Bethesda Softworks and in charge of public relations, he speaks for the development team and the company to both media and fans alike as such his word on this must be absolute and infact is. Third; The strategy guides are in editing stages now, a third party of which makes the strategy books HAS PLAYED THROUGH THE GAME EXTENTSIVELY MAKING SURE THEY PLAY THROUGH EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY and has stated the strategy guides are soon to be in printing. This means a FULL version of the game was sent to said company if not multiple copies in order for them to play and document the game.

The reason we fear Skyrim being delay is the anticipation itself. Nothing really can stop you from fearing this because you want to play the game so bad.

In conclusion there is no evidence to suggest Skyrim will suffer a major or minor delay before it's anticipated November 11th launch. All evidence leads to the fact that we will be playing Skyrim on November 11th. Hope this helps puts some of you to ease. 3nodding

Well, now, I never once thought that Skyrim would be late. Bethesda keeps their promises.

(Butttt, if perhaps it ever had the unfortunate event of being late, I would form a mob to protest their delay. And just to make sure that mob would hit the news, I would make sure chihuahuas dressed up as dragons and hot chicks in revealing outfits would be there as well.)

People on the forums are worried namely because Oblivion was supposed to be a launch title for Xbox 360 and it ended up being delayed till March of the next year.
