XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXM E S S XH A L L XXLocated directly off the main foyer, the Mess Hall is the common area for the Greil Mercenaries. Not only is food eaten here, but games are played (dice and pick-up-sticks are troop favorites), and many mercenaries come here to socialize and have a drink after a hard day's work, when heading down to the local pub is either not an option or too much work. Mist is the cook for breakfast and most lunches, and her work is passable. Oscar usually cooks dinner, and is known for a good-tasting and hearty meal.

Kiki entered the mess hall, looking around she decided to just find a place where she could stand. She headed over to the back of the room and leaned against the wall, she watched just about anyone who entered or left the room.

Luna quietly opens the door and closes it behind her. She see's Kiki watching the door. Not far away, there's an empty chair. She makes her way to the corner and sits down in the chair.

When Christina entered the mess hall she look all around the room, so she could see what it was like. She decided it was nice, for the most part, and looked for a place to sit. She saw Kiki standing in the back of the room and waved. She then saw Luna sitting at the corner of a table. Christina walked over to the chair next to Luna and sat down. "Hello Luna." Christina decided she should get to know everyone since she was going to be working with them.

Luna noticed Christina enter the room and look. She waves to Kiki, then looked at her. Not wanting to attract much attention, she looks out the window. Out of no where, Christina comes up and says, "Hello Luna." Luna looks over at her, "Hello Christina. How are you?"

Christina didn't really expect Luna to ask how she was. She was always a little bad at getting to know new people, but she knew she needed to, so she put her stupid shyness out of her mind. "I'm good, and happy to be a Greil mercenary. I just wasn't cut out to be a solder. What about you?"

"My swordfighting skills were given to me by my father."--- Ike causally walked into the mess hall, a small sheet of parchment in his hand detailing the room assignments of the new recruits. He looked around the room for a second, noting that the only person absent was Terra. Deciding to wait for her arrival, Ike tossed the sheet onto the table next to the window and took his usual seat, against the wall and facing the door.
Glancing over his shoulder, he noted the sun just beginning to sink below the horizon. He yawned, bedtime was fast approaching, but that would have to wait until he'd finished eating. Then it was off to file some reports and pay the current mercenaries, not to mention decide which job the new recruits could handle two days from now.

(sorry. Been busy with MB, Projects, and trying to keep the captain of another guild in line. If this happens again, just notify me and/or have someone take my characters. I promise I won't be mad... -hides in depression corner, is attacked by a rabid wolf, and is dragged off into a generic Spike Pit-)
Terra rushed in as quickly as she could, but she slipped through the door to the mess hall so nobody(hopefully) would notice. She had been held up by a fallen tree.

"Once again, congratulations on being accepted into the ranks of the Greil Mercenaries." He then looked down at the notes he'd scribbled on a small sheet of parchment.
"Before I give you permanent room assignments, do you girls have any preferences on who you're rooming with? We're going to have two people to a room, so if there's someone you want to be with, go ahead and tell me."

Terra just gave a blank stare, indicating lack of preference. She wasn't going to force herself on anyone, but all in all, she hoped for someone trustworthy.

Kiki gave a quick glance around the room, she didn't mind sharing a room with any of the other girls, as long as none of them questioned her about her past.

Luna looks up at the General and listens. Sharing rooms, that didn't seem like anything she mind, as long as it isn't with someone who will be mean to her. She dislikes anyone who is mean.

Christina turned her attention to Ike. She looked down in thought. She didn't really care who she was roomed with, as long as they didn't annoy her. Christina looked back up and said, "I'm find with anyone as long as the person doesn't get on my nerves."

Hang tight until then!)) --- The Commander was a bit taken aback at Christina's blunt comment, but didn't let it show on his face. Clearing his throat, he looked down at the sheet of parchment and studied it for a second. It would hopefully fit the criterion that everyone wished.
"Well, then...no sense beating around the bush, I guess. Lunar and Christina, you're together. You have the last room on the left through this door behind me." Ike pointed to a door that led to the right of the Mess Hall, over towards the east gate and the stables.
"Terra and Kiki, you two are upstairs, in the second room on the right." He motioned to the staircase near the front door. "You can go ahead and use the rest of the day to unpack and get situated. Mealtime will be in about an hour. Tomorrow, I'll give you a full tour of the facilities, and we'll start talking about your first job."
"Now, I need to head into town for a bit. If you have any other questions, ask Soren or Mia...they're around here somewhere. Until then, Greil Mercenaries...dismissed!" Ike stood up from the table, and, disposing of the parchment into the fireplace, strode through the front doors of the fort and out towards the village.
