Calypso had been back in her home for a whole two days since her quest. Most of it had been spent taking care of her mother and making sure she was safe and and a comfortable as she could make her, only really taking breaks when she needed to cook something for them to eat or to take a much needed shower. Feeling Bronwyn was as stable as she was going to get right now Calypso had called her business partner over for a meeting at the house. She'd make it back to the clinic when she could trust her mother alone, right now she didn't even risk leaving her int he house while she went to the store for food, having it all delivered instead.
The vegetarian bean and veggie soup was bubbling away in the crock pot on the stove, Calypso rushing around the kitchen getting the plates out and cleaned, setting them and the silverware on the table for when Ally arrived for lunch. To say she was a bit nervousabout seeing her friend again was an understatement to say the least.

Allesandra arrived on Calypo's door-step, wearing her black slacks and white camisole with a red see-through tunic shirt over it. She had her brown hair brushed out and pulled back then tucked it into a fat bun sitting at the bottom of her skull. The woman did not arrive without bringing something: a 6-pack case of black cherry soda and a bag of warm buttery sourdough rolls from the bakery in town.
The sun female pressed the doorbell, looking a bit anxious. It was only the second time she had been here. She had been personally running the shop while Calypso was gone for a long while; needless to say, it was running her ragged, plus her marriage is not faring so well, her and Armoda had been growing distant for a while now.

Calypso took a deep breath and wiped her hands on her hand towel, moving through the house to the front door. she didn't bother to check her reflection in the mirror except to push her hair back by behind her ear, the rest of her curls were pushed up into a loose bun on the top of her head to keep it out of the way while cooking.
Since it was just her and her mother home normally she would have just worn a pair of loose jeans of sweatpants and whatever shirt was clean but since Ally was coming over she'd picked out a nice pair of brown pants (that weren't denim) and a dark blue wrap around top that she'd been given as a birthday present. Reminding herself that this was her friend on the other side of the door she unlocked it and opened the door for Allesandra.
"Hey, come on in. Lunch is still in the slowcooker" she said with a weak smile, moving aside for the other women to come in the house.

Allesandra smiled when the door opened and she was greeted inside. "Well, you don't look any worse for wear. You seem to mature a lot. Seen a lot of action, eh?" she teased. "I brought a case of black cherry soda and some yummy yeasty sourdough rolls from the bakery in town. Fresh out of the oven, so he told me," the female said in addition as she took off her shoes by the door.
"So how is your mother doing? I haven't seen her since I was a teen myself," the brunette sighed, looking around. "Where's the kitchen?"

"Thanks, wish I could say I didn't feel like it" Calypso said, still smiling though. "Yeah you could say that, sleeping in a bog, then woods then skunks and don't get me started on the talking tree and crocodile" she said closing and locking the door behind the sun child. "ooh those rolls smell amazing! it's the second opening on the left there, the first is the hallway" she explained.
"She's...alright. She spent seven years as a werewolf when an animal mind so she's not quite herself. Still I can't tell you how happy I am to have her back. She sleeps a lot and I don't blame her, I feel like doing the same most of the time" she said following Ally down to the kitchen, walking past the dining room to get there.

Allesandra gave a nod and just moved towards the second opening in the wall. "Talking trees? Skunks. So glad I haven't went through that," she smiles, shaking her head. Upon entrance of the kitchen, the woman headed straight for the counter and set the soda there, as well the warm brown bag. "Here you go."
"Mm, well I for one am glad to see you alive. Running that shop all by myself was a pain in the tuchus," she smiles lightly, pulling out the roll and tossed one to Calypso.

"Uh huh, he gave me some directions. Scared the hell outta me! Though really it was nothing compared to some of the other things I saw, you wouldn't believe half of them" Calypso said with a chuckle taking the sodas to put them in the fridge. "Thanks for bringing the drinks and the rolls" she murmured taking two out of the sodas to pour them into glasses for them.
"Me too, I'm happier than I've been in years" she said setting down the bottles just in time to grab the roll that was tossed to her, taking a bite out of it.

"I would've been freaking out and probably poking it," Allesandra teased, smiling. "The soup smells really good. I appreciate you going vegetarian for me for lunch. I had never liked meat. I always eat mushrooms with every meal, high source of protein. Well, you see the fridge at the clinic! Basket of mushrooms in there," she laughed lightly.
"So where's your mother right now?" she asked quietly, watching Calypso poured their drinks.

"Well it was at least twenty feet long and wanted to eat me. I had to get a diamond from where it was sleeping" Calypso said shaking her head and getting the bowls down to pour the stew into them. "Did I mention it could talk too?" she asked. "Oh you're very welcome, I know you don't like meat. You should like this then, it has mushrooms in it" she said putting a roll on each plate tucked under the edge of the bowl.
"She's in her room, I moved my things out and her things back into the room. She's not very personable right now but I might be able to get her to come out and see you before you leave. You couldn't be more different with food, she won't eat anything that isn't mostly meat and the rarer the better. I suppose seven years as a wolf will do that to you" she murmured, picking up the bowls and bringing them to the dining room table.

Allesandra gave a quiet nod as she followed Calypso, grabbing their drinks as they head into the small dining room that was adjacent to the kitchen. "This is nice," she murmured. "You seen my house, very small. Suited, but it doesn't feel like home anymore," the female said in confidence.
"Don't tell anyone but Armoda and I are having problems. We had a few fights that I didn't tell you about. We yelled, we threw stuff. It's like we're so angry all the time," she sighed. "I mean, I feel like a failure since my late pregnancy miscarriage. It's just, we're floating apart. I don't know what to do, Caly."

"Thanks for grabbing the drinks, I was about to ask" Calypso said with a smile, setting the bowls on the table and taking her seat. "Mhm it's beautifully decorated though. Mom modified this house to her specifications, took most of her life savings to do it, especially with the reinforced room in the basement." she murmured taking a bite of her stew, it was good but she couldn't help feeling it would better with the usual beef in it.
"Ally I don't have anyone else to tell" she said raising her brow at her friend. "That bad?" she asked quietly. "You're not a failure! The shop wouldn't exist without you and it sure wouldn't be functioning without you there to run it while I'm off running from crocodiles and sitting with werewolves." she frowned. "If it's that bad, why don't you leave?"

"Quite bad," Allesandra murmured. "I don't know, we don't talk. I think we deserve a sit down, but problem is that he is at work a lot, I have to run a clinic. He doesn't understand the dedication is to make that place a haven for the kids," she sighed, taking a bite of her soup. "Mm, this isn't bad, you need spinach, adds that nice salty flavor," the female mentioned.
"He keeps saying hold on, hold on. Maybe a surprise date. I can't just disappear for a few hours, people come in and they come out. The gods are paying us to keep that place open almost 20 hours a day," the sun female murmured. "We were going to try again, but not with all this stress and anger going on. It's just a pain. Armoda and I were really good friends before we even started dating. I'm afraid right now that if I left, he would just collapse. He admitted at one point that he is so attached. I can't really do anything, he lost his mom, I lost my mom. I also got Jelly to worry about when she goes off gallivanting."

"Well I have mom to watch 24/7 right now but as soon as she well enough to be trusted alone here or come to work with me I can take over the shop and you can get some time off to have a sit down or at date with him" Calypso suggested. "I'll remember that for next time" she nodded.
"I can take over for a few hours for a surprise date at least. Maybe you need to try something different. If not leaving then just separate rooms perhaps? Something to give you a little breathing room." she offered, not sure what else to say. "Jelly is old enough to take care of herself, she's your twin I understand but she's not your responsibility."

"That's what everyone keeps telling me," Allesandra muttered. "Jelly is old enough, jelly can handle herself. But I can't take it if I lose her too the way I lost mom," she sighed. "I'm just full of sadness today," the female murmured.
"It'll be great if you can help with the Halloween party that we always host there. If she's improving by that time, you can bring her?" she offered. "I mean your mother," the sun female said, smiling weakly. "So, separate bedrooms for now. That sounds good. Jelly always tells me to stop worrying so much or I'll drop dead from a heart attack."

"Well she is just as old as you, she should be able to handle herself just fine" Calypso said raising her brows. "Oh, I can understand that. She's your sister" she nodded, grabbing the pepper shaker and adding a little to her lunch. "We all have those days"
"I would be happy to help with that" She smiled. "My favorite holiday" she nodded. "Absolutely. I hope she'll be well enough by then, she'll probably be very very quiet if she goes along. I'm going to set a room up there for her just in case" she explained. "Mhm I think it'll be a good idea. You know if you need to talk any time you know where to find me or you can call me too"
