Organizing things into lists is pretty fun, really, and extremely helpful. Here are a few lists to skim through. Feel free to offer up things to be added, better or alternate definitions, or new lists all together. I'll only offer up things I've personally encountered, thus know at least something about. I've met people who claim to be certain things, but I doubt it to be true. There are also people I think are certain things, but I'm not sure about. These things will be left out of my list. Also, these are just the definitions as I know them.

-Spirits-

Angel:
(TheCinnamonSpider) A creature, usually of light energy, appearing as a humanoid with wings. The number may vary. There are many different types of angels. The names we used to differentiate between these types were those so kindly laid out for us my the Christian religion. I've met one angel of unknown rank (living) and one angel of Cherubim rank (also living). The unknown angel's secondary form appeared simply as that of a human with pale purple wings. I can't seem to remember her other features. The Cherubim, however, had lost one wing, (though she might have actually had more than two. She was left with one, in the end) which caused her a great deal of pain. She appeared as a human with long red hair, sort of in a mane, and a very feline face. Her fingers were morphed into long, flexible claws.

Dragon:
(TheCinnamonSpider) I've only ever heard of two dragons in this life, one being a human's spirit, and the other being a horrifying and giant apparition on the school playground when I was in the third grade. These are violent and hasty spirits who seem to have a disregard for rules. I figure they can appear in many different forms, with many different personalities, though. I also figure there are many different types. I don't know the appearance of the humans alternate form, but I do remember quite clearly the crouching figure of a massive red and gold dragon on the hill behind the trees. The thing had to be fifty feet tall, even in that position, and it was so powerful it was making the other kids feel strange and most of them hadn't seen or felt much of anything spiritual. Most visible were it's massive golden eyes. Dragons are things of great power. They also actually seem to grow to indicate how powerful they are as the time passes.

Half-Animals:
(TheCinnamonSpider) I used to refer to these as were-(insert animal here)s, though that term really doesn't seem to apply, as they never really shift forms. Of these, I know of three, all presently living. The first is a panther of sorts, and appears, simply enough, as herself with more animal-like features. The second is a fox, who also appears much like herself, but her colours change from season to season. She's also a bit like a kitsune, from Japanese mythology, in the sense that her tails give us an approximation of how old she it. If I'm not mistaken, she presently has three, which would indicate her spirit is around three thousand years old. The final and most drastically different, is a snow leopard of sorts. She stands erect, like a human, but is covered in light, blue-gray fur. She has a medium-length tail and large ears. Her face is very much that of a cat, snout and all. She has large green eyes. For whatever reason, I can see her very clearly. I figure it means I know her well. In personality, they vary greatly.

Human:
(TheCinnamonSpider) I've only ever met one spirit who claimed to be human, and I legitimately don't believe he was telling the truth. He was just a bit too clueless acting for what he said to make sense. I can't really tell you much about true human spirits, then, but I figured I should mention that they seem to be rare, at least around here. My best guess on why this is would be that true human spirits have no defenses against the dangers of the other world and no special mechanisms to draw in energy to sustain them. Then again, humans are pretty versatile creatures, so a strong, smart one might come up with a way to survive.

Vampire:
(TheCinnamonSpider) A spirit who willingly saps energy from other spirits or living things to gain power or keep itself from fading from existence. Unbelievably common. Seriously, my friend had an attic full of them. Personalities also vary. I know too many of them to explain.

Wraith:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Very similar to vampires in some ways, but seemingly less common, though I find a lot of them. Wraiths also sap energy from things, but they can't choose when they do it. They might sort of be able to control the flow, with a lot of work, but it's difficult. They can supposedly become vampires by some process which my Angel friend swore existed, but I'm not sure if it's true or how it would work if it was. I'd figure it would be a special sort of training and some heavy-duty reformation. They commonly appear as either very thin, pale looking people, or thick, grimacing shadows, though this is subject to argument, as most of the dead folks I know now are wraiths and they come in a variety of colours and shapes and sizes.

-Types of Energy-

Fire:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Fire Energy. Red.

Water:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Water Energy. Blue.

Earth:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Earth Energy. Brown / Green.

Air:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Air Energy. Yellow.

Light:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Light Energy. White. If you're aligned with light energy, you are not necessarily good.

Dark:
(TheCinnamonSpider) Dark Energy. Black. If you're aligned with light energy, you are not necessarily bad.

-Books-

Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard:
(TheCinnamonSpider) A book by Oberon Zell-Ravenheart. It's actually the best book on this sort of stuff that I've ever read. Contains some interesting information at the very least. It's geared towards children and young adults, so it's easy to understand, but not completely black and white. A good read, even if you don't plan on becoming a wizard.

Lovely and useful list.

Do you remember the different kinds of vampires though....?

And I wish I could agree with the element energy thing. sad It just doesn't click with me, I guess. You know how I see energies, right? The different colors have always implied different moods, not elements. And just he simple fact I've never SEEN anything that gave me the impression it was an 'element' energy.....
But I suppose if only spirits who are capable of producing elemental energy and intentionally using a specific kind of elemental energy it makes sense.

Also, I'd like to know who are the people you doubt to be what they claim to be, and your guesses as to what certain people are. :]

Oh one more thing ---
Does this mean you're sure elemental don't exist now? Do you think the elementals I've met were just....humans with a strong ability to form elemental energies? And, Miotay, for example, is a vampire with a particular talent for elemental magic and mysteriously lacking in more defined vampire traits?

Yay~ Questions!

No, I don't remember the types of vampires. I remember a few Brad told me about, but his terminology is worse than mine. :/

According to Ognd, different people see different things in Auras. I think it's more common to see moods, but I see the energy types. Ognd was yellow, though I wouldn't doubt he was in a yellow mood too. There was also a medium sized red blob in my room that I think maybe might have been a phoenix. Possibly. Which is nifty, but I don't know how it got in there, which is concerning.

I can't give you any guesses as to what people are, as I just don't have any. The only person I've ever properly figured out was Fuzzy, and that sort of just smacked me in the face. And as for the others who I didn't believe, I meant Sam, Natasha, Brittney and them. They struck me as the type of people who would believe whatever the hell they wanted, even if it didn't make sense. ...And there was no ******** way Sam was a vampire pixie. :I

Not necessarily humans, but yeah, that's basically what I believe. Elementals exist, that's just not the only thing they are. I think they have to be something else, too. And I never actually spoke to Miotay about anything, so I don't know what his case was. I can't remember a whole lot that I was told. I've started writing s**t down, so maybe I can combat this memory loss thing. Anyways, even if he was just a vampire, I don't see why he couldn't have been missing traits. Vampires are diverse.

I'm pretty sure it was Tenshi via possession that told me about the vampire types but I don't remember very well.

ugh, okay, it's not like I know s**t anyway. And yeah a phoenix would definitely be fire because....it's fire. By the way, when did you start seeing energies? I guess I never really asked you how you see. I remember you used to see nothing, and then you started to see spirits, namely Tory, and then I don't remember any mention of auras or energies for some reason, and then there were like spells on you or some nonsense that kept you from seeing, and now you're seeing again spontaneously. (that's how it's happened in my perspective anyway, I'm not sure)

oh, I thought maybe because you said "There are also people I think are certain things, but I'm not sure about. " , you could tell my your guesses on who you thought was what. Heh, yeah, that group was all about making themselves feel special...

I'm a bit worried, on a personal note. :/ I don't seem to hold any of the vampire traits we know of. Maybe I did in middle school, but...I don't know, obviously spirits can change if you're anything to go by. And I haven't really been in tune with my elemental crap for a long time. I think losing my sense of self identity in this field is making me kind of irritable and angsty.
