Andy Whitfield, star of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, passed away yesterday at the age of 39. I first saw him in the movie "Gabriel" and started watching "Spartacus" last year. It's a terrible loss.

I've seen the show. It doesn't really pick up until after the first couple episodes. He does a really good job with Spartacus, and the new guy doesn't carry the same presence he had.

Plus, Andy was incredibly attractive.
