Assignment complete for CUIDER!

My favorite thing to do here? Well that's simple. Seeing as I'm stuck in what appears to be green ectoplasm, my pastimes are limited. Oh sure, there's the classrooms and the learning and the interacting. But you want to know what I really want to do? I want to run and jump and do everything that I can't do whilst stuck in this contraption.

But there's no use dwelling on the impossible, I suppose. As such, my current favorite activity happens to be sleeping. And growing, because I grow in my sleep. Perhaps the faster I grow, the faster I will be out of this place and out into the real Lab. At least that's my theory for now.

if you must insist on details, I simply close my eyes and calm my mind. Then I slowly doze off and slip into my dreams as my neural activity slows. My dreams vary from day to day. Sometimes I dream about what I look like. That's an odd thought, not knowing
what or who I actually am. Other times I dream of open spaces; of legs and air and the rush of exhilaration as I spring down the corridors.

It's an escape into a new world that, for now, exists only in my imagination. And that is why sleeping is currently my favorite activity. Though, I hope, it shall not remain so for long.

Assignment complete for ORINBAR!

There is clearly no pastime in the labs that is superior to reading – books, the internet, and hair gel labels are all informative and entertaining media, and it would do every Tekimi well to use them as they are meant to be used. I find reading enjoyable because it is solitary and can inform tekimi who live in a lab of the wonders of the multiple universes beyond us, whether supposedly fictitious or not. I can’t see how anyone would argue against that. Besides, there is nothing more beautiful than the smell of a just-opened book or the neat rows of text lined up before your eyes. Reading is divine.

Solitary activities are clearly superior to other sorts of activities because you may rely only on yourself. There is no need to wait for the rest of the class to catch up to your clearly superior abilities (and by your I mean mine, naturally, for I am one of the best readers here). Furthermore, no one can distract you from doing exactly what you are doing, which is immersing yourself within the endless tomes of information that can be accessed through reading. There is nothing better than to sit alone with a nice new novel or scientific journal and partake of its offerings to your mind and to your sensibilities. There is no need to cooperate with books past turning their pages in order and not crumpling them (and really, why would anyone want to do either of those things?); books make themselves easy to get along with. They’re very enjoyable company, I find, especially in lieu of other Tekimi, who are likely to be loud, mistreat books, and find the importance of hair gel to be less than paramount.

The relative quiet of reading is not advantageous solely for its solitude, naturally – because reading also gives a Tekimi access to so much information that can’t be found elsewhere. Sure, one could give arguments for the pleasure of watching videos. But that pleasure is so easily destructed by the noises of the Tekimi around you, who may be commenting on the video, and besides, when watching a video there is no way to control at which speed you process the information. It always seems as though the frames should be passing by in a much quicker motion, no? And listening to information is no less frustrating. You cannot listen faster than a speaker can speak, after all, and you also cannot mark your place in a recording or lecture only to return later after having cleared your own personal space of unnecessary distractions. Reading has a beautiful peace and quiet that neither of those alternative options offer, as well, and that’s another argument for the glory of reading. When you read, everything in the book or on the webpage or on the label is there before your eyes, and you may consume it at will, knowing exactly what you are looking for before you find it. Books have indices, and websites have search engines, and hair gel labels are always organized in exactly the same way, after all! That predictability allows for so much more accessibility, and allows therefore for a Tekimi to gain so much more enjoyment from reading. Also, it never requires one to get up and fight, which allows a Tekimi to vicariously experience any sensations described. Isn’t that amazing in and of itself? It’s doubtless that reading’s ability to disseminate information throughout the populace is unparalleled.

Really, then, there can be no arguments made against the marked superiority of reading as a pastime for any and all Tekimi. It’s enjoyable, solitary, and especially helpful to those of academic incline or those merely looking for new information. Characters are beautiful and harmonious for the eye, and the neat organization and stunning presentation of reading material makes it preferable to all other forms of information distribution. I really don’t see how I could have a pastime that I look upon with more favor than reading!
