Am I the only one that tends to scare away their crochet hooks?
Since I have an overabundance of bags and purses, I decided to put them to good use for my various crochet projects so that when I'm in the mood I can just grab a bag and go. Lol! So, since my crochet projects are OBVIOUSLY contained, how is it that I keep losing hooks?
I just started my "big ugly" blanket this past weekend and when I tried to work on it last night I pulled all of the yarn out of the bag, along with project, and turned the bag inside out -- NO HOOK!?! I even looked all over the floor in case it fell out. On the neighboring tables and things in case I took it out and forgot to put it back. I even checked under the beds since, I've already discovered that my cat, Tsuki, is a hoarder. But still, no dice. I wish I could say this was the first time this has happened but it hasn't. In fact, I believe that I lose a hook with each project I do, unless it's a project that get's knocked out in the matter of a couple hours (then the hook goes back into the case.)
So where do these runaway hooks go to? Do they elope with all of my single socks in Vegas??! I would really like to know it's not just me that tends to have inanimate objects fleeing from the vicinity (I also discovered that my flatware has been disappearing when I washed the dishes a couple of weeks ago and realized HALF of my forks are missing and 1 spoon.)
