Hi y'alls! Back on land, here in beautiful Boston, I'll let y'all know what I did during two months of sailing on USCGC SPENCER:
-Interdicted and rescued 97 migrants, trying to escape to Cuba or the US
-Helped in the capture of two drug runner boats
-First responders for hurricane Irene
-Standby for humanitarian relief in Bermuda
-Conducted almost 200 helicopter evolutions and two at sea evolutions
And thats about it. We visited Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. All in all, it was an ok patrol, but I am sad that I missed the ball.
