Last week on Tuesday, I had very little swelling and redness in the back of my throat. The nurse at the school said it was a bacterial infection and gave me an antibiotic.
That night, I slept for 12 hours from 9pm to 9am, fatigued completely, and a fever ranging between 100 and 102 (I never checked but I know when I have a fever and the general range since I've had them a lot in the past).
When I woke up in the morning, my throat looked like... Well I can't show you, it's certainly not for the faint of heart. If you're willing to risk the grotesqueness of it, try looking up Tonsillitis on Google Images. Trust me, DO NOT DO IT IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH.
Anyways, I've had that since Wednesday morning... It's Tuesday at Midnight now, the week after. I've lost 10 lbs. and have eaten a total of maybe 500-750 calories since Tuesday. I can barely swallow, and the taste in my mouth is absolutely disgusting (makes me want to vomit).
It's like temporary Halitosis, let's put it that way. Luckily that goes away after the Tonsillitis does (I'd be pissed if it didn't >.>).
Worst part is, in order to be eligible for a Tonsillectomy, it would have to be something like 4 cases within 6 months for 4-6 weeks each. I'm no where near that. Mother will be taking me to a ENT (ear nose and throat) doctor ASAP, regardless of it being there still or not...
So yeah, that's what's been going on with me (and the reason I've been on RS lately, because I'm pretty much stuck with sitting on the couch not doing anything).
Send me your get well wishes, highly appreciated heart

hey man,i know your pain....well...sorta. I had my tonsils taken out at at the age of 21..... I was going to my ear, nose, throat doctor because my breathing was harder plus the asthma and she said my tonsils were extremely swollen. She was shocked I didnt have them taken out when I was a kid like normal people (the doc back in maryland only did my sis, not me too, only because mine were normal x_X )
I was expected to speak the very next day after the surgery....god....what pain x_x

I went to the nurse today and they just said come in tomorrow and see if it's better. Ugh, pissing me off...
