Name:Hideki Narumi
Age 205
Appearance Age 19
Personality Hideki is somewhat arrogant, seeing as how he is a strategist of sorts. Otherwise, he's often calm, and even interested by his foes. He might get a bit.... experimental if he must on a foe, if they interest him enough. Quite often he'll make small talk with anyone, usually using it as an excuse to insult them if he happens to be fighting said person.
Bio Hideki is rather old but keeps with the times. In a sense, he is a hipster, never getting rid of something he has a use for. Even though it has went through thousands of modifications, the outfit he wears now could be considered to be the one he wore while alive. He hardly ever is seen without it. After death, HIdeki rarely ever attended classes, instead playing against others in a game of shogi. Needless to say, he was quite good. He was always complained of cheating, but he just loved the game. Didn't help that his zanpakuto was actually a shogi piece. After achieving Shikai, Hideki only waited three days before attempting bankai. He failed miserably. Learning from his mistake, he attacked his zanpakuto's honor, making him play his own game. This time, he won. His zanpakuto realized that it had been played and admitted defeat and absolute subordination to him, but Hideki merely apologized instead, just commenting that "One must know what comes next, or death is certainly the answer." When he was asked to elaborate, he explained that he meant if one could not think ahead they were likely to die very quickly. He had been spared through sheer luck the last time and thought ahead more, using the zanpakuto's weakness against it. Thus, he knew what would come next from his angry foe. To this day he still follows that motive, along with several of his other sayings.
Shikai: Check, Shogi-o
Appearance: A straight, tai-chi sword with a shogi piece on the tassel.
Shikai Abilities:
Piece Setting-Grabbing hold of the Shogi piece, it leaves the tassel. The user throws it and whatever it hits, leaves a mark on the object. If the wielder becomes wounded, they instantly transport to the mark and the piece reappears on the tassel.
Piece Summoning- The wielder throws the piece from the tassel and it creates a piece with one power and a promotion attack. The piece has an ability based upon it's movements and promotions in the game of Shogi.
Bankai: Checkmate, Shogi no Kami.
Appearance: A shogi piece inscribed with the word "God".
Bankai Abilities: The wielder summons all the pieces on a shogi board under his control. Each piece has a promotion ability and a normal ability. While the bankai is in effect, the wielder cannot be damaged by normal means. Instead, one must destroy his pieces, which cause damage to him based upon the strength of the piece in a shogi game. If his King is destroyed, he falls unconscious. At any time he can recall his bankai and move back to his Shikai, so long as his King is currently not being attacked.
Piece Powers
Pawn: Division- Pawn turns into nine copies of itself. They all contain the same amount of power and have average stats.
-Promotion: Gold Division- As with Division, except with the ability to use the Gold Ability
Knight: Crash- Knights cause large craters to appear upon jumping to a new location. They have slightly above average stats.
-Promotion: Gold Crash- The Crater gets larger and the Knight can also push forward immediately upon landing, much like a tackle.
Gold: Great Shield- The Gold creates a large shield in front of him. It is very hard to penetrate, but he has low stats, except defense.
Silver: Shield- Same as Great Shield but weaker and smaller
-Promotion: White Gold Shield- Shield increases in size but not in strength.
King: Great Wall- The King throws up a powerful and short lasting wall while simultaneously moving the opposite direction. He has great Mobility and speed, but is poor elsewhere.
Lance: Rush- The Lance moves forward at blinding speed, crashing into and through everything it can. It is weak however, but fast.
-Promotion: Golden Charge- The Lance uses it's rush while covering itself with a shield from behind, making it harder to kill.
Rook:Immense Might- The Rook breaks the ground orthogonally (Plus Sign) with a single punch. The move stops when any of the four points hits a medium sized object (A small boulder or young tree. Roughly anything about five and a half feet tall.)
-Promotion: Immense Pressure- The Rook keeps his basic ability and also greatly hinders movement in his immediate vicinity with an unnatural amount of reiatsu.
Bishop: Immense Pressure- It works like the Rooks Might, but with his Promotion Power instead, hindering movement diagonally from him with unnatural reiatsu. Stops at medium sized objects
-Promotion: Immense Might- The Bishop can cause a great amount of damage in his immediate vicinity.

Promotion Rules
A Piece may only be promoted if it deals damage to the foe. Upon promoting it cannot demote unless destroyed and resummoned (Shikai only). A pawn however, is a special case in destruction as it comes back 9 times in one summon (one for each actual pawn). Each time it is destroyed, the amount it calls in division is decreased by one.
