Hey guy! I'm back! Haven't been able to post for a while, my older brother's been back at home for a while and I've been finding it hard to sneak into this Guild without the threat of getting caught as a furry... No one in RL knows that I'm into this...
As a highschooler, if any one found out, I'd probley be hated by everyone.. Doesn't help that I live in a fully, overly christan community...
So, I'm a closet case....
I wanna tell some one, but I doubt I can...
I'm also Bi.. And I want to tellsome one that too...
That's why I'm posting this.. wanted people to know.. Even if it's people I barely know. At least they understand, right?
Any ideas on how I might get over it in RL?

Well, I'm a closet fur, I'm bi, and in high school, so we've got a lot in common, and my brother understands, in fact, he's a furry himself! Yea, that must suck, I live in KS, this place is a HELLHOLE for furries! My mom almost found out once... sweatdrop It wasn't pretty.
I just act myself and my furry side on here! It's what keep me in check, although I'm thinking of one day walking into my high school with a fur suit on. blaugh

When my dad found out he was pretty disappointed, but now he got over it, same thing with me being bi, he got over it... still keeps teasing me about it... stare

I really want to come out tho, about being Bi.. That would be more understandable.. I live in IA, so I'm prettey screwed with that fact sweatdrop . As soon as I get my license (in less than a month xD) I'm gonna drive up to the nearest big city, an hour away, and go to one of the lil rave places there... Highly doubt it will be fun tho.. I live in Iowa.. Aw well, I'll manage..

It's never a good idea to cluster these thoughts together until they explode. You really should tell someone about these things! I've been there, also.
Follow my own, or a combination of other peoples', steps so that you can start feeling better!
First, find you closest friend who you confide everything in. Make sure that person is trustworthy. Also, keep your mind set on knowing that she/he will always accept you for who you are, else they are not true friends.
Second, tell them. Just say it, and don't act dramatic about it. "Oh, um... I just wanted to tell you, I'm also bi." That's it. Don't make a scene and freak them out! Just nonchalantly tell them. Or, if you wanted to tell them about being a furry, follow the next steps.
Third, to tell them about furry. You will need materials.
1) Your favorite picture (clean!) from your favorite artist.
2) The anthrocon guide "What is a Furry?" http://www.anthrocon.org/files/anthrocon/WIF-brochure2010 v3.pdf
First, call them over and do it the same way as you would in step two; nonchalantly. Show them the picture(s) to give them a better understanding of furry. If they still have questions, whip out material numero dos.
Fourth, you may be able to skip this step, HOWEVER, if you have friends who have bad, naughty knowledge of the fandom, I would whip out my favorite Uncle Kage quote, "Yes, furries are the only ones who have sex, and you all are jealous!" Sex is everywhere. In anime? Hentai. In Star Trek? Spock rape fantasy.
Fifth, try to introduce them a bit more if they seem uncomfortable. Don't overwhelm them, but show them the odd-humored fun we all have and share! Show them more pictures, tell them about your fursona etc.
Sixth, remember that your friend should never disdain you for your hobbies and interests. If you feel threatened by their lack of judgement in their choice of words, tell them and stand up for yourself.
It's not a big deal talking about these things, it's the people who make it seem big.

Wish I could help but my case isnt any better than yours.
The only person IRL that knows im a furry is my gf, and even then its not something that's really mentioned.
I dont really have the want to tell anyone because I find it embarassing XP (so much for furry pride i know rolleyes ) and ontop of that im a guy and would much rather be the opposite... sweatdrop
Ideas? Id say just get to know people better. Find someone who is the most trustworthy and you know who its not going to be a problem and start there. Otherwise I dont really have much more advice other than that XP
