Lilly sat in her cage, sighing. She didn't like the fact that she was stuck in a cage, but that's what life was like for a slave. She looked around and wondered how her last master had managed to die. The people said that he had been smothered in the night, but not with a pillow or anything they could figure out. She shook her head and lay back against the back of the cage, closing her eyes. It was running relatively slow in the store, and she didn't feel like trying to entertain anyone.

 JakeJake was escorted into the Slave shop by a large man wearing an expensive suit. "Go pick one. I'll be here to pay for it." Jake's eye twitched. "Just because they are slaves doesn't mean they aren't people..." The man ignored him and started a conversation with a man at the front desk. Jake rolled his eyes and went off to pick a slave. There were many, more than he had originally thought. One seemed to catch his eye. She was a girl, around the age of sixteen. Jake walked over to her cage with a friendly smile. "Hi."

Lilly
Lilly had closed her eyes and was drifting off when she heard the bell at the door ding. That meant that another master or mistress had walked in looking for some slave. She opened her eyes and looked to see what type it would be. Watching a large man escort a smaller man in, Lilly was slightly curious, thinking it may be another slave, but then heard the bigger man speak, and knew she had been false. She sat back again, not paying much attention and closing her eyes only to open them again when she heard the guy say hi. Looking to him, she noticed that he was looking straight at her. She gave a small smile as she spoke saying, "Hello." She sat up more and leaned towards the front of the cage, looking the man over and wondering if he was going to take her.

 A loud sort of sigh escaped from Haruko as he lay curled up in his cage, a fairly large sized cage for a dragon, though, in reality, his dragon form wasn't that big.
He easily stood over humans and other species that weren't as big as him, but he was a fairly modest size for one of his species.
It had been the...hundredth or so time he'd been tossed into here, he wasn't sure, he had lost count so long ago....
After having been returned here by his most recent master, all that he was left to do was wait, wait to possibly be carted off to another hellhole, like the many others he'd been through time and time again.
Shaking his head, Haruko lay on his belly, his eyes scanning over his form, counting the number of scars that riddled his scaly body, which was too many to make a proper estimate.
So many times he'd been tortured, lacerated, beaten, and bruised, it felt as if it was painful for him to even move, though in all reality, there was no pain at the moment.
But for now, he could sort of enjoy the peace and quiet, since no one could really hurt him while he was in here.
He closed his eyes for a moment, taking the moment to relax his tense muscles, and just let go of his troubled thoughts.
The sound of the bell ringing and voices made Haruko's eyes snap open almost immediately, and he tensed up, looking towards the door to see who had come in.
It was two men, one bigger than the other, the larger man going to the front desk and striking up a conversation with the male receptionist, the other one walking over to a cage with a young, brown-haired girl inside, talking to her.
Haruko watched the two for a moment, his eyes looking curiously to the man, he seemed friendly enough, the girl was very lucky to be conversing with someone so kind...
Sighing heavily, he turned away from them, nestling his head among his coiled body, closing his eyes again as he simply listened to the conversation and everything else going on around him.

 Estella Estella sighed as she rode in the car. She was about to get a slave. She was not sigheing because of that that though. She was happy she was getting a slave because that ment she was saving it! She was sighing because of the day she had just had. It had been work, work, work. She owned a big company you could say. She was alittle royality as she had found out and had gotten some money that way but other then that the money she had was mostly from her hard work and she was about to spend some of that money on a slave now. She decided she would probably only get one slave today and another at another time.
As the car came to a stop she sighed once more before opening the door herself and shutting it. She went to the door and opened it to enter. She almost felt like crying at all of the slaves in the crates. She felt depressed knowing she could not save them all. A man saw her looking at all the cages and she smiled at him and went over to him, "Sir, when I have chose a ... slave" she said not liking that would. She felt like she wanted to slap herself for saying it, "may I call you over and ask you for a price?" she said the last part with a smile. The man was taken back by her kindness and just by her and he just nodded. Smiling once more she turned towards the cages. That's when he smile faded and you could see her eyes become sad and depressed.
As she looked at all the slaves for sale she saw a dragon in a rather large cage. She went over to this dragon and smiled at him, "Hello there. May I ask what your name is? she asked him finally putting a smile back onto her face.

Haruko wasn't exactly sleeping, he was just relaxing, or trying to, at least.
His mind flashed back to the man and the girl he'd been eyeing earlier, thinking that the man would make a kind master to the young girl, since he had given her a friendly greeting and all.
The only thing Haruko had ever heard from masters and mistresses who approached his cage was ' I want this one,' no friendly greeting, no pleasant conversation, nothing.
Well, it'd probably be a million years until that happened, but he felt much safer here in the slave shop, quite an unusual thought, but what did that matter to him?
His ears flicked a moment as he heard the bell ringing again as someone else entered the shop.
Another voice, a woman's this time, as she spoke to the man at the front desk, asking him that when she'd chosen a slave, if she could call him over and ask for a price.
Haruko noticed her hesitance when she had said the word 'slave,' almost as if it pained her to say it, but he did not open his eyes, keeping himself coiled up in his cage as he heard feet moving around the shop.
He then heard feet moving towards his cage, and heard the woman's voice say a 'hello' to him, and asking for his name.
This time, the dragon's eyes opened, and he raised his head to get a better look at the woman who had approached him.
She was elven, he could tell by her scent, since her flowing golden locks hid the usual telltale pointed ears, and she had such lovely blue eyes...
He was curious as to why she had approached his cage, since he was looking much worse for the wear compared to most of the other slaves here.
Nonetheless, he lifted himself up more so that his eyes were level with hers, watching her with a sort of suspicion, she might look to be kind, but he couldn't always be too sure of that.
" Haruko," he answered in a soft voice, looking her up and down, " Though I just go by Haru."
He tilted his head to her, his long whiskers flicking about here and there behind him, as he sort of leaned closer to the cage bars, almost hesitant to do so, his eyes never leaving her as he did so.

Estella Estella glanced over what she could of the dragons body. She believed the dragon to be a male. That is the way she thought he was, if he so happened to turn out as a she Estella would be embarrased. As she looked at the dragon she heard him say his name was Haruko and his nic name was Haru. Smiling she said, "I see. That's such a waste. Why would call you Haru. I would rather say Haruko. It's such a beautiful name. I wish I had a good name like you." she said with a sigh before she felt as if she would sneeze.
Covering her mouth with the inside of her elbow she sneezed into it. Right after that she felt as if she was going to yawn. Stifiling the yawn so he would not noticed she said, "Sorry about the sneeze. Oh and my name is Estella. Although you can call me Stell or Stella. Which ever. I hope we get long and become good friends." she said before motioning for the man to come over for she would ask for the price of the dragon before her.
As he came over she asked him, "How much?" she asked the man who looked towards the dragon cage. She did not wish to say it for he was not an it and she didn't want to say he for fear of getting the gender wrong.

Haruko could feel her looking at him, and instinctively curled up a bit tighter than before, wanting to conceal weak spots, since he wasn't sure he could trust her just yet.
She had a smile on her face when he told her his name, and she said it was such a waste, asking why she would call him Haru, she'd rather call him Haruko, saying it was a beautiful name, and that she wished she had a good name like him.
The dragon blinked at the comment, slightly confused at it, but allowed a small smile to show, glad that she thought so well of his name.
A lot of other masters and mistresses hadn't thought his name was all that impressive, it was rather surprising to him that this elf woman actually liked his real name over his nickname.
" Thank...you," he said, pausing a moment between the words, nodding a moment.
He wasn't sure of what else to say, she was being so... nice to him, he couldn't help but wonder why.
Haruko flinched at the sneeze, and pulled his head back a bit from the bars, his ears flicking about tensely as he did.
She apologized for the sneeze, and introduced herself as Estella, though he could address her as Stell or Stella, and she hoped they got along and became good friends.
" Stella..." Haruko repeated softly to himself, a slightly confused look on his face as he tilted his head to her, " Friends?"
He'd never had a friend before, even if his previous masters and mistresses had slaves other than himself... this was all so...foreign, to him.
Stella then motioned for the man at the front desk, who came over promptly, as she asked him for the price of Haruko.
The dragon blinked again, she had been so fast to settle on taking him home with her, and she'd been so kind to him... though he couldn't say for sure just yet.
His eyes shifted over to the man as he looked towards Haru's cage, then looked back to Stella as the man answered her on the price, " This one's about 500 dollars, since he's a rare one," said the man, looking to Stella, " Though are you sure you want him? He's been handed down so many times, he's a bit jittery around others."

JakeJake smiled when she replied. The door's bell ringed as a women entered, probably to buy a slave as well. "My name is Jake. And you are?" He asked with legitimate curiosity. "JAKE!" The large man who had escorted him into the shop yelled. "Find someone you like and lets go! We don't have all day." The man continued tapping his watch. "I swear...Why he wanted me to buy a slave is beyond me..."

Lilly looked to Jake as he introduced himself. She smiled some "I'm Lilly." She said to him as the man yelled at Jake. She looked to the big man almost in fear, and she slid to the back of her cage again. She heard Jake say that he didn't know why the man wanted him to buy a slave. "He is scary." She said lightly. She stayed in the back of the cage as she looked around the shop, seeing a mistress come in and started talking to the dragon near her.

JakeJake nodded in agreement with Lilly. He thought for a second and looked over Lily. "I'll be back in a second." Jake said leaving Lily and walked over to the large man in a suit, his father. "Well?" Jake's father said eyeing Jake up and down. "Did you find one you liked?" Jake nodded and pointed over to Lilly's cage. The man at the desk followed his point and nodded. "She would be six hundred. Would that be all?" Jake shook his head no, as did his father. "All right. Here you go." The man handed Jake the key to Lilly's cage. Jake smiled and walked back to Lilly, unlocked the cage, extended his hand out for her. "Nice to meet you Lilly."

Lilly watched as Jake left her, going back over to the large man. She shivered some as she looked at the man, hearing their conversation. So Jake had decided to buy her, which she didn't know if she was happy about or not. Jake seemed to be nice, and she liked that, but she was afraid of the man he had come in with. She looked to Jake as he came back and unlocked her cage, extending a hand to her. She put her hand in his, almost hesitantly, and smiled. "Nice to meet you too." She said with a dip of her head.

 Jazz
Jazz sat in her kennel curled into a little ball. She was in her most human form, but she still had a tail and ears. Her tail was wrapped around herself as she lay there and looked out of her kennel. There was so many different types of slaves out there. She looked to a human that was just getting bought, the girl seeming to be going to a nice owner, whom didn't even appear to want a slave. She looked around the shop more to see a dragon with a mistress near him, the mistress seeming to be about to buy him as well. She sighed silently to herself and sat up a bit, her tail flicking lightly against the floor and her ears laying back.
"Will anyone nice find me? Ever?" She asked herself finally. She shook her head and leaned against the back of her cage. "Most likely not. There wont ever be a nice person."

" Here we are~" chimed in the voice of Aria Haragi, his mother, as she put the car into Park and shut the engine off, " Are you ready to pick out a companion, sweetie~?"
Iku sighed a moment as he climbed out of the car, " Mom, you don't have to treat me like a kid any more, I'm perfectly capable of handling myself, though thanks for offering to buy me a companion~" he said, giving her a sweet smile.
Aria grinned and patted her son's head, " G'awwwww, there's no need to thank me, hunbun~ You know your ol' mummy's always more than happy to do anything to keep you happy~ Now let's get in there and get a companion for you before all the good ones are taken!"
Iku nodded as he and his mother walked onto the sidewalk and entered the shop, hearing the bell jingling as they entered.
Stopping, he looked around a moment, taking in all of the sights and smells of the slave shop, noticing it was filled with cages, big and small, and many of the slaves here smelled unique, this was a shop for several varieties of slaves, after all.
He hadn't imagined ending up coming here, but his mother had been so kind to offer and buy for him, and his house was awfully empty without his mother coming by occasionally to visit, he simply couldn't pass up the offer.
The inu boy noticed another boy around his age taking a younger, brown-haired girl out of her cage, apparently having already purchased her, and another mistress was asking a man about the price of a dragon in a large cage.
Aria smiled to her son, and nodded, " Go on ahead and start browsing, let me know when you find one you like, and leave the buying part to me~"
And with that, she waltzed right over to the front desk, striking up a conversation with a lady who was operating one of the registers.
Iku nodded and said a quick, " Okay," just before his mom went over to the front desk and drummed up some chat with a woman there.
Sighing, he turned and started to walk down the aisle of cages, looking in each one at the slaves within them.
Some of them were rather unusual, some were more beaten and bruised than others, he could guess that they had suffered poor treatment, either before being put into slavery, or from a previous owner they may have had.
None of them seemed interesting enough to buy, he had thought of buying that white dragon, but the mistress near it's cage was already asking one of the salesmen to name a price for the beast.
Shaking his head, Iku kept walking, looking left and right as he tried to find a good slave, no, a good companion.
As he walked by one cage, he looked, seeing some sort of girl with pointed ears and a fluffy tail in it, and stopped, turning to face the cage, a spark of interest in his eyes.
She smelled of wolf, and, Iku himself technically being a dog, she just might make for a good companion.
The wolf girl was leaning against the back of the cage, so Iku bent down a little, smiling to her, " Heya~!!" he said happily, his ears perked and his white tail wagging behind him in a friendly manner.
" What's your name?" he asked of her, the wolf girl had definitely drawn his attention now, though he wanted to see if she was nice, or if she was one of those bad slaves, first of all. ☠ ☠ ★ ╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮╰☆╮  KIRA!
