 Yeah, we'll stick with this template. lol So, I suppose I can play the leader and the angel unless someone wants them, which is perfectly fine. I can go either way. Just let me know here or in PM if you would like to take the "Leader" or "Angel positions. Otherwise, let the games begin.

Things to cover (I'll write these out a little later):
-Where's the starting point
-Who is in the after world already, and who is new
-What is the opposing force
-etc
Some Simple Story Rules:
-No suicides. (They can't actually get there.)
-The times people arrive in the Afterlife don't happen in chronological order as they die in the real world.
-No one can die here. If they are killed, they wake up fully recovered as if they merely lost consciousness for a while, altough they will experience the pain of it. (NPC's are unknown at this time.)
-You can literally make things out of dirt while in the world that you could make in the real world. It is said to be impossible to make things there you didn't know how to make. Any attempt to make things you didn't know how to make will cause an explosion.
-No one can fly.
-There are unidentified powers or creations that don't seem quite possible though, such as the computer program Angel Player (which can give a person supernatural abilities and change a person entirely) and Naoi's hypnotism.
-It doesn't matter where your character is from, for the purpose of this RP, there will be no language barriers in the afterlife. Everyone is speaking errr... the "being dead" language. However, there is still a culture barrier. So have fun with that.
About the School:
The academy is made up of classrooms, a computer lab, a cafeteria, a school garden, a gymnasium, a laundromat room, and dormitories. On the top floor is the school principal's office. Outside on school grounds is a sports field which is made up of a soccerfield, a track, a long-jump pit, and a baseball field. Directly underneath the building, a large underground cavern which resembles an old mining cave stretches across the area and leads to underground caves far below the surface. The school is surrounded by forests and mountains, which stretch onto the horizon. It hasn't been identified how far they go, or if anything goes beyond that. In one direction, a large river runs by, where SSS members sometimes fish to obtain food.
About NPCs:
The world is inhabited by NPCs, which are mostly that of highschool students. There have been adults shown as well, such as the Principal, the technician, and the teachers. There have not been any appearances of younger children though. Although they look human, any weird things an NPC sees thinks that it is normal, or their reaction are programmed depending on the situation.
About Shadows:
NPCs can be edited by the program "Angel Player", which is shown when the Shadows appear. They can appear from the ground and leap long distances. When one catches onto a human, they can pull them into the ground, effectively turning them into an NPC as well the next time they are seen. They can be destroyed by means of bullets or cutting them.

Her mother did her best to support the two of them and struggled to make sure that Melinda would be well off in her life and as so, she did live a pretty content life. Her mother became ill and was hospitalized when Melinda turned 14. Her mother made her promise that she would do something with her life and become something great. After her mother died of a brain tumor, depression overtook her and she attempted to commit suicide with a gun to the head. She waited there for hours, debating on whether to pull the trigger or not. After much debate, she couldn't go through with it. Not out of being a coward, but she felt she was meant for greater things than that. With new found strength, she made accommodations to better her life. Melinda moved to Japan to stay with distant relative and studied in the best schools. Right after taking her entrance exams to a prestigious university, she collapsed right as she was turning in her paper and was rushed to the hospital. It was discovered that she had a brain tumor that had been undiscovered and untreated for years. She fought to get better while bed-ridden in the hospital but died during surgery to try to remove it only a few days later.

Despite having everything she could want at her fingertips, everything changed when her little brother came down with an illness that caused him to be bed ridden for most of his childhood. Kazuza's parents were both wealthy business people, and thus made business trips out of town quite often, leaving her in charge almost all the time. She stopped going out with friends, and dropped out of most extra-curricular activities so that she could better focus on taking care of her little brother. After a while, she seemed to just stay home most days because her brother's illness wasn't getting any better and she was the only one he could rely on. Over the years, she grew to resent her family for always having to take care of her sickly little brother. It wasn't fair to her, she thought. Her little brother had seemed to rob her of her life and she grew angry because of it. Yet, her feelings weren't entirely hidden from her little brother. He had felt bad that she was always taking care of him instead of living her own life to the fullest. One morning, when it was just the two of them, he woke up extra early to try to make breakfast for his older sister before she woke up, to show his gratitude for her dedication to him. However, being too young and inexperienced, he caused a fire in the kitchen that quickly spread throughout the house. Kazuza awoke to the fire alarm blaring off as she scrambled out of her bed. She called out to her brother but she couldn't fire much over the roaring flames. Making her way through the house, she finally heard sobbing coming from the hall closet. Opening it, she found her brother huddled in the corner crying. He tried to explain through his tears what happened but Kazuza knew they needed to hurry if they were to make it out alive. Grabbing his hand, she turned to exit the closet, but before she could get out, a pillar snapped and slammed the door shut from the outside. Kazuza tried desperately to shove the door open, throwing her entire body against the door and screaming out. There was no luck. All they could do was wait as the flames slowly claimed their lives.

She always seems content if not happy. She's an average girl and enjoys music all the time. (Wears headphones constantly) It's not hard to hurt her feelings, but it's easy to make it up to her. Backstory/Past Life: Your average normal life. Nothing out of the ordinary. Two loving parents, a decent home, a good school, etc. How They Died: Severe bodily injuries (internal bleeding etc) Reason for Being Stuck in Afterlife: Regret and Longing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Yukine was always getting into fight with other delinquents while trying to be some kind of model student and good role model for her sister. They lived normal lives and never really had a down day. One day, when they were leaving school late due to their extracurricular activities, Yukine left something behind and waved Yumino on ahead with the intent to catch up to her. While Yumino was walking home alone, a group of delinquents ambushed her, think she was Yukine, hoping to making an example of her to the rest of the students who go up against them. They had no idea that Yukine even had a sister as they bludgeoned the girl with various blunt weapons. Yukine had only been a few minutes behind, running to catch up when she made it on the scene. Charging in full force she began to fight them, desperately trying to protect her only sibling. Unarmed, she didn't stand a chance against them. One of the delinquent members managed to hit her hard in the stomach with a baseball bat before connecting it with Yukine's head and she fell to the ground. By this time, there had been enough noise and time that the delinquents, still disoriented and confused by the discovery of the twins, they all bolted before the police would start arriving. Yukine and Yumino laid there on the pavement, bruised and bloodied. As Yukine reached out for her sister, despite the awful pain, Yumino couldn't reach back out, unable to move. She had been paralyzed from a blow to her lower back. Yukine died on the scene from massive internal bleeding. Yumino had been taken to the hospital where she struggled to live, but died hours later.

Name: Cole Philips Gender: Male Age: 26 Origin: 'Murica Appearance: Weapon: Handgun, tonfa, and hand to hand with a specialty in grappling Role in the Afterlife: Drummah and Defense. D IS FOR DEFENSE! Personality: Cole's aura is authority. No action is wasted in his efforts. He comes off as a bit of a meat head at times, but has a brain when it's needed. A cool guy. Sometimes willing to stand up for other people. Backstory/Past Life: Cole was a football player back in high school. His dad was very serious about football, and Cole felt neglected sometimes when his father yelled at him about football and winning games. Cole had been in football since little league and was known as a great defensive lineman, and then a better tight end through middle school and up into high school. His jersey number was one. Cole earned a full ride to college on his football career and played football for their team. He continued his position as a tight end here, earning a name for himself with coaches. He would hang out at parties, get s**t-faced and then get up and do it again the next night. One night, someone invited a girl who took classes with him to one of the parties, and the quarterback of the team started to talk about her, loud and boisterously, even tossing beer bottles at her. Cole wasn't going to have that, so he spoke up for her, and when the quarterback threw the first punch, Cole let him have it. He broke his nose and knocked a few teeth out by the time someone got him off of the quarterback. He was kicked out of school and the team because of this grievance and went on to make something of himself as a police officer. He got tired of the small man getting bullied. Several people didn't like him, but the bosses enjoyed having him because he would take up tough cases. After several years in the police force, he'd been on to a drug lord and promoted to detective. He'd been really close and took a moment to enjoy life and get married to the girl he'd stood up for, those many years past. While in his wedding, gun runners for the drug lord burst through the doors and mowed down many people. Cole and his bride to be were the primary targets, and had been mowed down without a moment's notice. Cole had gotten in too deep trying to keep everyone safe and it cost him dearly. Name: Anna Marie Gender: Female Age: 24 Origin: America. Weapon: Frying pan Role in Afterlife: Offense and uniforms. Personality: Anna is a little fierce, but more opinionated. She would rather sulk and make fun of poetry than go outside and play baseball. She is quite a downer. Back story /past life: Anna was a social outcast all through high school. She got a grant to the university that Cole was in due to her high grades, even though her conduct was poor. Attendance was high and A's were present all throughout school. One night she was invited to a party by a football player, under the guise of a date, and was made a laughing stock of. Cole defended her and got himself thrown out of school. Anna continued to go to school and later changed her profession from cooking to sewing. She would sew clothing for a studio, and sometimes sell her designs to fashion industries. Her dream was to always raise a family that her parents could be proud of, even though she was such a stickler. She has a motherly nature when no one is looking. One the evening of her wedding, as her and her husband to be Cole were saying their vows, they were mowed down by bullets and died on the spot.
