"Where-where am I?" Strongheart asked. She was so very scared. "You aresafe." a pretty she-cat told her. "My name is NIghtfury, and I'm your grandmother. Come on, you must be tired if you came all the way here on your own."

Shadowstar felt life flood back into her, and saw her lif flash before her eyes, her mother, licking a small cut on her paw, being made an apprentice, lashing out at a badger in front of the nursery, being made a warrior, hunting with her mate, nursing her kits which were dead, being named deputy, starring in horror as her leader fell, dead, to the ground, a ShadowClan warrior standing over him, her receiving her nine lives, loosing each life, until she found herself shaking, huddled on the ground of StarClan.

Nightfury oadded to Shadowstar. "Do not be afraid. You can see your mate and kits, just be ready to gve Moonfire her lives. All those who have not faded come to see."

Shadowstar nodded. She started to take note of her surroundings, the leafy green trees, the prey-rich forest, a large moor with rabbits dashing every whcih way, and the tang of many, many fresh herbs.

Shadowstar meowed to no one in particular, "That…Ebonypaw…she died this morning? Where is the apprentice?". Shadowstar flicked her ears and padded towards the dark forest. She peered into the depths and sighed at the dark trees, then she heard a yowl. She couldn't make out the words, but the loud noise was different than the usual hushed voices of the forest.

Nightfury padded over the the former leader and sighed. "Ebonypaw has been pulled from us. That's most likely her...."
'Nightfury! Is that a cat? We have to help her!" Strongheat yowled as she came racing down the hill just near them. She continued running straight past the two StarClan she-cats, and into the darkness.
"Strongheart!" Nightfury yowled. She launched after her grandaughter. She knew all too well what her son and mate were capable of.

Shadowstar didn't hesitate. She launched herself after the two cats, her tail streaming behind her.

Shadowstar padded back into StarClan territory. "Ebonypaw," she meowed, "Welcome to StarClan." Shadowstar looked around at the ancestors of the Warriors living in the forest now. She stiffened. "Nightfury." she murmured, feeling someone had invaded her privacy and was listening, "Who's in the MoonStone tunnel?" Shadowstar looked around the territory of StarClan, shaking her pelt uneasily.

Ebonypaw looked around her with open-mouth shock. It was beautiful. She was so lucky that Strongheart was so kind. "Thank you."
"yes, I feel it too......perhaps we should visit tonight?" Nightfury said to the former leader. SHe felt it strongly, the sense that all was not right within their sacred ground.
