Halo and Mortal kombat should not be in smash bros. I can't explain it, but those franchises just don't fit with the game and the Nintendo cast.

biggrin Halo, simply put, is a shooter. I'm pretty sure that The only hand-to-hand combat I've seen in the series is when you press RB, and even though the Spartans have quite the arsenal and there's already a certain interstellar gunslinger in SSB, they aren't necessarily translatable to a fighting game. What moves would Masterchief have? Needler?
With Mortal Kombat, the series is certainly over-the-top. The problem is that it's over-the-top in a needlessly violent way. AND it's dead serious about it's violence or at least as far as I can tell. A resurrected ninja (
ninja ), a thunder god, and an undead kung-fu master don't exactly blend well with a mustachioed plumber and a giant yellow mouse.
However, I'd accept seeing Sub-Zero in SSB, if only to give those damned Ice Climbers a taste of their own medicine.
