Family: Hyong Hawk, Hawk's father and a mid ranking soldier in the Earth kingdom military. Unbeknownst to Hawk, he is now deceased. Lai Hawk, Hawk's mother and the parent Hawk is named after. A simple earth bending woman from Kiyoshi. She doesn't do much. Yokai Hawk, Hawk's elder brother and an Earth bender. He works on the mainland helping make roads.
Origin of Birth: Kiyoshi Island
Biography: Hawk grew up with the desire to be a warrior. Each day he'd sneak around to find the Kiyoshi warriors and mimic the things they did. Fearing rejection, he could never bring himself to ask them to teach him. One day, after subduing a bandit His Soldier father decided to teach Hawk the ways of the warrior. Once his training was complete, Hawk's father urged him to join the military, where they would serve together. However, Hawk refused. His gruesome training made him realize he didn't want to serve in the army, but having spent his childhood learning how to fight and defend really limited his choices. After saying goodbye to the island, he took the first boat to the mainland to start his journey as a Body guard! His only problem was finding Clients.

Please change your bending level to High Level Student. The fact that your character is reluctant to ask people to train him does not help your character's bending level. Nor do the spelling problems...
Lai Hawk (if this is an Asian-styled personal name, Lai would be the surname... however, "Hawk" does not seem to be very Asian) mimicked the movements of warriors, but without real instruction from a teacher, he probably did not learn much. Even if he learned from his father, he did not receive instruction from a real master.

Even if he learned from his father, he did not receive instruction from a real master. So is this outdated or something? Also, a Rose is a Rose is a Rose is a Rose. I doubt that just because the world has asian origins, people can stop naming themselves and their children what they want.

Yeah, that is quite outdated.
I don't have any problems with you using a non-Asian name, though keep in mind that the Avatar World is Asian. Chinese characters are used when writing, so "Hawk" may be transliterated.
