i have ALLLOOT of recipes, so i thought i'd start transcribing a few. ^^ these 2 come from The Manga Cookbook.
Teriyaki Sauce
1 Cup Soy Sauce
1 Cup Cooking Sake
1 Cup Mirin (can be found at asian markets)
1 cup Sugar
Combine all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a slow boil on medium heat, allowing the sugar to dissolve (the smell will be very strong, but that's just the alcohol burning off so it's ok). Remove from heat about 7 minutes later, when sauce begins to thicken.

(please note that this will make alot of sauce. when we made it at home, we cut the recipe in half and we still had leftovers after using it on chicken. i imagine that like most sauces, this keeps well in the fridge, though.)
Teriyaki Chicken
1 lb boneless chicken thighs
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vegetable oil
Add oil to a frying pan over medium heat. Place chicken skin side down and cook for about 3 minutes. Turn over the chicken, putting a lid on the pan and letting cook for another 2 minutes. Remove the lid and add the sauce and sugar. When the sauce starts to bubble, reduce heat to low and cook an additional 3 minutes.
