Wolfstar shook with coughs, before calling Ringingears in. Once Ringingears walked in and sat down, Wolfstar meowed, "It's time-" she broke off coughing, then rasped, "Its time for Tigerpaw to become a Warrior. This Clan needs more Warriors-" she started coughing again, "I'll soon be on my way to StarClan, I am on my last life, and I know the signs of Whitecough. Make sure you chose the right cat for deputy, Ringingears, I do not want my Clan to lose the honor it has received after Foxstrike had returned to her Clan. I shall call the meeting at sun high, and don't forget that the Gathering is tonight." Wolfstar started to cough again, this time longer than before.

"Which you will not be attending Wolfstar," Ringingears told her leader. "You are sick perhaps we should wait for Tigerpaw," She meowed to her leader. Silently she thought to herself I doubt he can make it much longer. Why not wait because we can't afford any other cat getting sick so let me do it" She meowed.

"No!" Wolfstar meowed, "I WILL attend this Gathering. You are not my leader, and I will make Tigerpaw a warrior today, I will announce the cats that will come to the Gathering after the ceremony."

"Ok you will go to the gathering but I don't think it is safe for the clan for you to do the warrior ceremony," She meowed urgently to her leader. "You don't want to spread Whitecough throughout the clan do you?"

Slimivy walked into Ringingstar's den and meowed in her silky, snake like, hiss of a voice, "Ringingstar, we simply must take some land from ThunderClan. They have a large Clan, and if we take land from them,they will go hungry. Their kits will die when their mothers can't feed them, and ThunderClan will be shrunk. But while they shrink, we GROW. They don't need all those kits. or we could just go take some, I'm sure the rest of the Clan would agree."

"That's kit-stealing and is against the warrior code. And we have plenty of prey and land, we don't need anymore. And that would again, be against the warrior code, because we would be knowinlgy killing kits an delders. Slimeivy, how could you even think of such a thing?!?!?" Heartfire exclaimed, sitting next to her leader.

Heartfire snarled. "It does not matter! I am the Clan deputy, and therefore I have the right to speak. And fine! They have no elders, but they have kits! It only SEEMS to fall apart, but it never truly does! Do we really need this? Ringingstar, are you going to DESTROY a Clan that has done nothing to provoke this attack?"

"Yet you just think you can march into your leaders den and demand what I think is right, you didn't speak out against Foxstrike. You seemed to go along wiht that, and where do you think Wolfstar got THAT idea? You're going to tear this Clan apart when you become leader." Slimivy meowed, silkily.

"Heartfire that is enough," Ringingstar said calmly. Looking over to Slimivy she meowed softly, "When Wolfstar spoke to me before he died at the gathering he asked me to make sure this clan didn't fall back into it's old ways," She meowed. "He didn't even have to ask me because I heard what this clan used to be like," She meowed anger starting to enter her voice. "We will not attack Thunderclan, for it is against the warrior code to do what you suggested," Her voice began to slightly rise. "They may have many kits but they don't have enough warriors to teach them all separately, therefore they will be weak." She paused thinking her next words. "If they get power hungry then let them attack we will have the skill and that's what really matters." She meowed her voice lowering. In the sweetest tone she could must she spoke, "Now please leave my den and never think about doing this again or else you will be back on apprentice duties for two months."

Ringingstar watched Slimivy walk out of her den. Walking over to the entrance to make sure that no cat was near the entrance she turned around and looked at Heartfire, "Keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn't do anything stupid," She meowed. "But make sure she doesn't know what your doing and report back to me every night."

Hearfire dipped her head and mewed, "Of course, Ringingstar." She started out, but stopped and turned back to her leader. "Ringingstar, is what you said about ThunderCLan true?"
