As of two days ago the Cash Shop released a new item concerning all you Gaians who just love playing Monster Galaxy! Or for all you who just want an interesting little friend to chill with you in your avatar. This new item is called the Lost Starseed II and it's a continuation from the first item Lost Starseed that came out a little while back. The price for this new item is 199 Gaia Cash or, if you are looking in the marketplace it is selling for 140,000 gold. For the market place that is a pretty good price, so if you want one of the Starseeds I would go and get one now before the price goes up! When you crack open this Starseed you will get one of twelve Moga with the possibility of getting the character Skylar the Awesome. The twelve different Mogas that are available for you to get are Chuuzilla, Flam, Sweetish, Lepus, Mushi, Martini, Pengoo, Melodee, Lumo, Pwee, Burger, or Ie.
(This would be the new Lost Starseed II!)
For those of you who do not know what Monster Galaxy is I'll tell you a bit about it. It's a game that Gaia created a while ago where you go around as a Moga Trainer, and you try to tame and capture the wild creatures known as Moga! They send you on quests to get items, along with tracking down and killing certain bad Moga. No worries though! All the Moga in this Starseed have been tamed for you so that they would rather be your friend than rip your face off.
Now, for this particular item, I have to say that I like all the little Moga creatures in it. Granted when you open the Lost Starseed II you might not get the one you want, but it's not too big of a deal since whatever Moga you end up with is bound to be cute or interesting. They each have three poses, one being them on the ground simply sitting there, the other is of your avatar holding them, and finally they end up sitting on your head! In addition to the poses they each come with a signature item. Whether it be a hat or a headband it is bound to be interesting. The great thing about this item is that whatever Moga you get goes with quite a few outfits. So you should have no problem putting your new Moga friend in with your favorite shirt, shoes, etc. The only thing that I can say that I don't like about this item is that only one Moga is in it's evolved form. All the others are left in their starting forms. I always like uniformity so the fact that there is just one that is evolved bugs me just the slightest bit. Concerning the art and coloring for the new item and all its Moga I have to say that it is very well done. The shading on all the Moga are very natural and it allows for the lighted areas to pop like they should. The color choice and detail are very well put together. There aren't really any colors that are hard to look at or hard to pair with a different item when making an outfit. The detail just adds that layer of complexity that is becoming a common attribute to all of Gaia's latest items, and that overall helps make the item sparkle just a little bit more. When it comes to the items functionality with both the male and female avatars I have to say that it does relatively well with keeping things fair. There are one or two Moga that seem to be more for girls than guys, but the opposite is just as true. Overall, the Lost Starseed II is very well done, and it makes a nice addition to the Cash Shop's already exceptional items.
