The Nursery-where she-cats come when they're expecting kits. also where kits and the queens(the she-cats) stay until the kits become apprentices

Redstripe licked her ruffled pelt, which was fluffed up against the cold. She flicked her tail at a stray piece of moss, seeing how far it would go as Moonshadow walked in. "Hello," Redstripe said.

"Hi. Redstripe, was Rainstorm this annoying when you told him you were expexting?" Moonfire asked, gesturing with her tail towards Blackheart, who was STILL going on about their kits.

He dashed out of the nursery as Redstripes said, "I see what you mean..."

"Yeah." Moonfire started wlking towards an empty nest, then pitchied forward. She shouted with pain and convulsed. "The kits! I think they're coming early..."

Redstripe dashed out of the nursery, then back in a moment latter with Brambleberry. She crouched down next to Moonfire and said, "This is way to early!" She put her paws on Moonfire's belly and said, "Three, but one is very weak..." Her mind went into the cats that she lost, but she snapped back, thinking of all the kits she brought to life. "Here it comes!" she licked the kit gently, before placing it next to its mother's belly, "She-kit." she said quickly before licking the second kit. "Tom." She meowed, then said, "Last one..." As she licked the last kit, she felt something wrong. Its breathing was very harsh, and its chest felt as if it was about to fall apart. She picked it up and sat it next to its mother and siblings, "I don't know about this one..." she said, before meowing, "I'll go get you herbs to make extra milk."

Moonfire frantically licked the last kit, trying to get it to breathe and warm it up. The other two she pushed closer to her, so they wouldn't be cold and they could drink. She continued to lick the last one, but despite her best efforts, its breath kept getting shallower until it stopped completely. She let out a cry of despair, then let her tears run freely. But she didn't abandon her two living kits. "Blackkit and Firekit." she mewed, tapping her tail ion the kit she was naming. "The two strongest kit that there will ever be."

Blackheart ran into the nusery and said, "I caught you the biggest mouse I could fi-" he broke off as he saw the kits, "Where did they come from," he whispered.

Moonfire looked up at her mate, her tears plain to see. "They came while you were gone. But one came too early, and she died...."

He glanced at his kits, then at the body of the other kit. He whispered, "Our kits... Weak, and small... Not...not... Strong, like they should be..." He grabbed the dead kit by its scruff and said, "This...This is Strongheart. May StarClan be happy they took our kit." He dashed out of the nursery, still holding the kit.

Moonfie looked out after her mate and wondered, Why did this happen to us? StarClan, Why? She looked down at the two survivors and vowed to protect them with all her strength. Even if she had to protect them from themselves, she would.

Redstripe looked from Moonfire, then to the nursery entrance, where her mate and her kit had disappeared. "Moonfire," she whispered, "I'm so sorry..." She stood up to comfort her friend, but hissed in pain. Brambleberry rushed forwards and said, "You're kitting! Here comes the first one..." She licked the kit, checking its lounges, making sure it would live, before turning back to Redstripe. "Okay, last one." She picked up the kit and gently put it next to its mother's belly. "One tom, and a she-kit."

"Brambleberry look after Firekit and Blackkit. I need to go to Blackheart>" Then withut a word more, Moonfire ran out of the camp and to her mate.
