I am in LOVE!. I went to JoAnn's yesterday to pick up some blank cards and took a gander at the yarn, wistfully (since I had put myself on yarn restriction until i started churning out some finished projects again), and my heart skipped a beat.
I may have to lift my yarn restriction for this because I know that, by the time I actually put a dent in my yarn stock, this will probably be hard to come by at the store level (and I have a weird hangup about ordering yarn online.)

I can't seem to find it on their website but, I have been printing out major coupons so I can grab up some skeins later today... I will take a pic then and post it here.

The colorways are amazing too! I am in deep doo-doo. whee

While trying to scout for the aforementioned yarn I noticed this JoAnn's web exclusive:

Mary Maxim Mohair Glitter Yarn

Has anyone ever used it? If so, how does it compare with the Moonlight Mohair by Lion Brand?

I think the Moonlight Mohair is absolutely beautiful but it tends to be a bit too scratchy. I also noticed that the colors of the Mary Maxim seem a little bit more subdued in the images provided... I'm wondering if they are actually a little more vibrant irl?

That Mary Maxim yarn looks gorgeous! I may have to take a gander down at the store by my house now!

Okay, the yarn I was talking about in the initial post was Jo-Ann Sensations Rosario Multi. Since I couldn't really find any stats for this yarn online, here are a couple of quick cam-shots of what I ended up buying:

I've used other Sensations yarns before, It's A Wrap and Angel Hair, and really , really liked them. The results always came out beautifully.
On the flip side, I've tried to use their Rainbow Boucle and the yarn just kept falling apart. Not sure if I just had a bad batch but, I haven't attempted that particular one since.

That is gorgeous! Isn't that hard to work with, though? Definitely something for an intermediate to expert.

Haven't tried yet but I figure, it can't be any harder to work with than the Lion Brand Homespun razz That stuff is a pain!

Does anybody have any good ideas for fun fur? I have a small stash of it that I bought when I was young and stupid and I don't want to toss it, but I really don't know what to do with it. xd

IMO, the only decent looking things I've seen made out of fun fur are amigurumi. I'm considering making a furry wreath just to see how it turns out.

A wreath would be cool. Or maybe a baby hat?

My other question would be, is it eyelash yarn like this:
=materials&ga_search_query=eyelash_yarn&ga_facet=]http://www.etsy.com/listing/80443728/black-wool-knit-hat?ref=sr_gallery_28&ga_search_type=all&ga_includes[0]=materials&ga_search_query=eyelash_yarn&ga_facet=

Or actually furry (looks kind of lamby) yarn like this:

A stole would be nice too, depending on how much you have. Or you can use it as a border to something. smile

Or even legwarmers!

It's straight up Lion Brand Fun Fur -- eyelash to the max. rofl

I have four balls of copper that I was going to make into a scar for a friend, but she changed her mind on the yarn choice. I'm going to try a wreath out of that. I think bright red or scarlet yarn roses would look decent on it.

Otherwise I think some crocheted baby boots might be a fantastic solution! And maybe some baby legwarmers, too.
