The central portion of Dejahrah is a huge marketplace. Very close to the Harbor, the roads between the two are extremely busy but all roads leading to Sawacah stay well traveled. As Aqualis is the main trading center of all of Sol Solis, this is the very Nexus of that. Traders from all over come here to deal wholesale for their stores and handle their import and export needs. In addition to the vendors which deal in volume, there is the largest marketplace in all of Sol Solis and possibly all of Saegareth.
Goods of all manner can be found here and some at great deals. People often travel great distances to shop here for the freshest ingredients, most sought after items and exotic, imported goods. The guards of Aqualis are dilligent in their policing of Sawacah but as in any city, there are more upper class and lower class areas. Indeed Sawacah is much like its own city in both size and population. There is the always present criminal element and naturally a fair bit of black market dealings, but those are done by shadow and stealth as the guards work hard but often fruitlessly to stamp out this side to trade and commerce.
There are many open air stalls but just as many shops, inns, cafes and stores. The roads are largely well cobbled and in excellent care but the poorer areas show less attention. The buildings reflect the area and are mainly built from the limestone, granite, marble or sandstone from the many quarries. In fact the castle just north of Dejahrah has dazzling outerwalls made of quartz.
