I have a 10L heated tank with a hang on quietflow Aqueon 10
Right now my tank has... - a pair of Tuxedo guppies - a pair of dwarf flame gourami - a small catfish (I'm not 100% on what it is, but will find out asap)
Basically I'm looking to start swapping out my plastic plants for some real ones, I'm wondering what the best way to go about doing this is.
What are good plants to start? Is there anything special I need to do? Should I do all my plants at once? etc.
I'm not super new to fishkeeping, but this will be the first time I've planted my own aquarium.

I there! I would tell you that your tank is over stocked, but since I just red in the intro thread they are planning an upgrade, then I wont go there wink
I have, in my 10 gallon, 2 types of Java Fern (needs to be on driftwood or a terra cotta pot), wisteria, a Marimo Moss Ball, and a bunch of Aponogenton bulbs (have yet to sprout). I do nothing to the tank, and the Wisteria can be trimmed, and replanted to create new plants.
Other options are
Hornwort Anicharis Java Moss some Crypts most Anubias
I know nothing about lighting, other then I have low-light plants because I use suckish bulbs in my suckish WalMart Kit hood. Not knowing what kind of lighting you have, the plants I listed are all low to low-moderate lighting plants, and most are rather forgiving. They shouldnt need CO2 or ferts.
Also, I would like to see a pic of your tank. I've never seen a 10 long before =)

Moroseth Anaratharach Thanks, Yeah I have an empty 55G and am looking into a 35 at the moment to bridge between the two. as far asthe long bit, I matched the dimensions with a chart I found online. 24 1/4 x 8 1/2 x 12 5/8 was called a 10 long there Not sure if I understood that that right, but I would just go straight to the 55, instead of going to the 35 gallon, then the 55 later. It'll be cheaper in the long run, and much less stressful on the fish. You'll also only have to cycle once wink As for your current tank, thats very interesting! Its not quite as tall, and its wider then a standard 10. "10 Long 24 1/4 x 8 1/2 x12 5/8 10 Gallon 24 1/4 x12 1/2 x12 3/4"
