There are a row of 5 greenhouses in Hogwarts. Each Greenhouse is more dangerous than the last. Students come her for Herbology Classes which are run by Professor Douglas Green.

Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas looked at his time table as he walked through the first year green house. It was strange to see something different from last year, he liked things when they didn't change. Now he'd have to remember names and the first lessons he did last year. As he walked along, he picked up a watering can without looking and poured it randomly across the table. Ocasionally it would actually go into a pot, but it mainly just hit the table. He got to the end of a table and dropped the watering can on the floor and the clatter of it made him look up.
"Ah," he breathed, looking at his mess "That's not good."...They grow into my heart

Colette trudged along to the greenhouses, Her shoulder bag in hand, And the other her 'One Thousand Magical Herbs And Fungi' textbook in another. She tossed her textbook inside her bag, While trying to fish out something form her bag when she entered the first year green house. She always loved to check on the plants before going to the second year greenhouse, Then back to the castle for homework. She then looked up, and stopped at the sight of someone else in the greenhouse. She immediately dropped her bag down onto the floor, And grabbed a small white cloth from her robes pocket, and started wiping up the mess, being careful around the potted plants.

Professor Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas looked up at the girl who had just appeared and was mopping the floor delicately with a handkercheif.
"Hey," he called and waved his hand "You don't need to do that, it's ok." The professor pulled his wand out and flicked it up
"Accio mop!" he said and strode forwards as he did. The mop came into his hand as he put his wand away. When he reached the girl, he offered a hand up.
"Are you looking for something?" he asked her, his brain whizzing as it tried to think of a reason to be in the green house. ...They grow into my heart

Colette shook her head as she put her handkerchief into her bag on the floor, Then accepted his hand, Pulling herself up. "No. I just usually check on the plants before going to any current classes or doing my homework, really. I've been doing it since my first Herbology lesson. I'm guessing you're the professor?" She was sued to her old professor, Mrs.Greenhope, But she had heard a rumor that she had retired recently. Colette was hoping that it would just be a simple rumor, But now she might have to accept the facts: Mrs.Greenhope is retired. "We're you looking for anything, Or we're you doing the same as i was, About to check the plants?" She asked, As she looked around the greenhouse. The floor was damp with the table as well, But the plants seemed alright.

Professor Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas hesitated, looking back at his watery mess.
"I was just watering some of the plants." he muttered and flicked his wand at the mop. The mop swished into the water, soaking it up like a thirsty plant, his wand guiding it.
"Are there any other students who check the plants or is it just something you do?" he asked her, so that he wouldn't freak out when dealing with Devils' Snare because a child came out of no where. He would hate to have to use spells on any plant, though sometimes it was neccesary....They grow into my heart

Colette looked a bit frozen for a second, But then she shook her head, staring at the floor. "None of the others wanted to check on the plant's with me, When i offered last year. This year when i did, They ignored me. Well, No matter." She then nodded her head, Picking up her bag. "I guess you have things all under control. I'll just check the second greenhouse and I'll be off. I'm not aloud to go further than the second greenhouse. Seeing I'm only a second year, But I'm alright with it." She then nodded to him, And headed out the greenhouse door, Walking up to the second greenhouse. She then attempted to open the door, But it was locked. She then shook her head, And took out a small key form her bag. Then unlocked the door. A Large snapping sound suddenly came from the corner of the greenhouse, But she simply shrugged at it, Slamming the greenhouse door behind her. She grabbed a watering can from the corner of the room, and a bag of fertilizer. She turned towards the potted Mandrakes, and pots that needed to be filled with dirt and fertilizer. "Better get to work." was all she said as she started placing dirt and fertilizer in the pots, Making sure there was a small space in the dirt for the Mandrakes. Soon, She grabbed her earmuff's and fastened her gloves on slightly tighter. She then made sure her earmuffs we're on correctly, Before pulling out a Mandrake from one of the old pots, It's cries shrill but not deadly. She then re-potted it with ease, And continued this.

Professor Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas tilted his head as he watched her leave. It seemed as if she was trying to escape him, though he couldn't really see a reason why.
She's shy he thought It seems she's unable to get along with people... he added, remembering her sentence None of the others wanted to check on the plant's with me, when I offered last year. This year when I did, they ignored me. And then there was her hurried escape with a 'No matter' to the next greenhouse. She prefered plants to people.
While he thought, the control of his broom went funny as he lost concentration and knocked an empty pot over. He cursed and flicked his wand around.
"Reparo!" he stated and put it back to its place, then continued with mopping the floor. When he'd finished, he realised he could have just used the spell Impervius until the water was in one place, then mop it up. He rolled his eyes at himself. ...They grow into my heart

Professor Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas walked out of the green house and was about to follow her into the second one when he thought he heard a certain kind of scream. His eyes widened and he fumbled with his wand
"Accio ear-muffs." he said and slid the black ones he had left in his room on. Walking in, he cast immobulus on the Snargaluff he kept at the back so that it didn't get any ideas and smiled when he saw that it was only inches away from grabbing the young girl. He really needed to move that into the fifth green house. It ate people! He hid a smile as he pushed the thorny vines back around the 'dead' tree stump and walked over to Colette as she did the last Mandrake/Mandegora. He watched her approvingly and when she had finished he took off his black ear-muffs and signaled with his hand to follow her.
He came to a box filled with soil and cast wingardium leviosa on a blanket so that it hid the box from the sun, then opened it and looked down at the vines that were spongey and boring looking.
"What's that?" he asked her, waiting for the answer 'Devils Snare'....They grow into my heart

Colette had nodded to his signal and was setting her earmuff's down when he asked her what a certain plant was. 'Well, Just like a regular quiz.' She thought as she pretended to think, trying to hide a nervous smile before answering. "Devil's Snare, Of course. He's pretty much a example why the others didn't want to come. They said Herbology was for Huffle's, I think it's quite rude of them. They've been acting like Slytherin's instead of Gryiffindor's since last year when i was sorted." Colette shook her head, Looking out one of the greenhouse window's, At the sky. It was clear blue with a few clouds in it. 'Perfect for sketching.' Thought Colette as she then looked back at the professor.

Professor Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas successfully hid his grin of triumph and shook his head.
"You're wrong! Though don't worry, even professionals get it wrong. This is Flitterboom, it looks exactly like Devils Snare, but it's completely harmless. There isn't much way to tell the difference. Poke 'em with a stick and Flitterboom do nothing, poke Devils Snare with stick and let him keep it." he grinned at her, then stayed very still... Slowly, he reached for his wand but a thorny vine slid round his wrist tightly. The Professor went bright red as his eyes darted about the room.
"Get out and lock the door if you can." he hissed at Colette who he was sure could make it out if she tried.
"Now." he said as he felt them go round his shoulders. ...They grow into my heart

Colette noticed the vine immediately on his wrist, and nodded, Not daring to disobey a order. She started to run to the door before tripping, A vine clunging loosely to her ankle. "AGH!" She turned around, flicking her wand out and aiming to the vine, Her eyes having a glint of nervous bravery. "Relashio!" She cried, the spell slamming the vine. It immediately cowered back, It seemed in pain from a small-like cut on it. Colette jumped up, running to the door again, But she hadn't noticed another vine clinging to her arm, pulling her back like a yo-yo. She fell on her back, Letting out another painful yelp. Her frail figure immediately showed she wasn't quite strong in the least, As she attempted repeatedly to rip her arm from the vine, It just increasing it's grip on her arm. "Let.. Me.. GO!" She tried to aim her wand at it, But another vine shot out and gripped her wrist, Making her drop the wand. The thorns on the vines were starting to cause her increasing pain, As she winced with each tug and pull. She had not noticed her robe sleeves ripping where the thorny vines where gripping..

Professor Douglas Green The plants around me... Are like children... Douglas hissed angrily at the plant.
"Not the students! We discussed this!" he snapped, his other hand darted to the wand in his other pocket and managed to snatch it, but then the vines wrapped around his head, around his eyes and he cried out in agony.
"Quickly, child! Where am I pointing?" he demanded as his wand pointed at his wrist that was covered in green vines with pointy red spikes that dug into his skin. ...They grow into my heart

Colette turned her head around, noticing his aim. "Your wrist!" She managed to cry out, Before a vine that held her left arm suddenly broke through her robe sleeve, The thorns now digging into her skin,Making it bleed, and the ripped cloth dropping to the floor. "OWW!" Her eyes had tears in them as she attempted again to snatch her wand from the floor, only to have more pain inflicted from her struggling. She then sighed, giving up and staying still, trying to blink back tears that already ran and to ignore the pain on her arm.

The plants around me...
Are like children...
Douglas scowled and poked his wand into the vine, then cried
"Immobulus!" It hit the plant and it froze. The spell covered the entire thing and Douglas knew it would hold for a good ten minutes. He ripped the vine from his wrist with a gasp and then his shoulder. He breathed in and out before ripping them from his eyes. He grunted in pain and for a moment he had no idea what to do, because he didn't want to open his eyes.
"Point me!" he told his wand and slowly made it over to Colette.
"Are you ok? Point my wand at your cuts, I know a spell for minor injuries." he told her, doing his best to be reassuring.
