He truely wants to be a good King. She truely wants to become respected.
Everyone has their own choice to do what they want. Well that wasnt true back in the day. Back when swords were the weapons of choice. When Kings and Queens ruled the land. When women were suppose to stay in the house. Men were the Major majority.
Having one son, The King and Queen of Thanatos try to protect him as much as they can from behind the scenes and to make sure that their son doesn't know. Since The Prince was 8 they had him betrothed to (High class and acts like a million dollar) Princess of the lands of Mayitan. The Prince, having met her only once (back when he was...eight) is not sure about the union. But be as it may he has been demanded by his parents to go on a visit to her on her birthday. A 2 Day trip. Thus the King and Queen has arranged a 4 bodyguards to take the Prince there. Two of the bodyguards are men that has put many many years into serving while the other two are newbies just out of training. Little did they know that one of the newbies was a female who has snuck in the training to become a knight. She was able to keep up her guise for many of the young boys that joined looked like her and sounded like her.
No one could tell. She always wears leather body armor, even if she has to wear a knights armor. She trained hard to be the top of her class. Thinking she was a man, she was praised for her agility and speed. On top of that one of the few knights that could fight with two swords. She didnt expect that right out of training she would be stuck with a group of men babysitting a Prince for a trip to see his betrothed.
Little else that the Prince would find out that she was a Female on the trip. She didn't know he found out. What do you expect when the apparent time it was found out he was 'asleep' as was the other guards and she was taking a bath at a spring nearby. And now she doesnt know if she is going to be thrown in a dungeon when they get back from their destination...or if she is going to fall in love. Is the Prince going to fall for his Princess or his bodyguard or even a random servant. What will be her end in this story?? You tell me.
But what do they truely want when this trip is over.

☽☪【✤】♈☾ Ⓝ i g h X Ⓢ t r a t u s Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. ۞}═━========================================━═{ ۞ Nigh grunted as his blade carved through the wooden post with a decent amount of resistance. Training, training, training. That was his life since he had join. Train or die, that was what his father and his father before him would say. Wielding the blade of his family was no easy task. It weighed four times the average sword and had a razor sharp edge. It was a beautifully power weapon that could easily pierce steel armor. The down side was that one had to constantly train their endurance and he had half the fight time of most knights because of this. This is why his family lived as they did. Train, or die. Without the proper strength and technique training, the blade was a useless piece of metal, more of a blunt metal stick. What bothered him though was that Natasha wasn't doing the same. As a woman she should have been working harder than he, but then again. To get as far as she had was an accomplishment. He had no right to talk. Grinding his teeth he lifted the heavy blade and slammed it down carving another clean slice in the post. Sweat poured from his face as he continued his assault destroying the post slowly.
It was a two foot thick and for 10 strikes he was doing fairly well, having placed more gashes in the room than dents. His technique was becoming sharper defined by the gashes in the wood, the blade was becoming lighter. He was becoming more efficient, more deadly. Again again and again he struck the wood, side-stepping and striking as he stepped passed the wood different variations of strike and attacking while defending. He was determined to be the best, he would make his family's name know, he would keep their honor as knights. He pressed his teeth together striking once more before he split the wood with a wicked crack. He took deep breathes to slow his breathing and wiped away the sweat before sighing. Turning his head, the sun was just a little over the horizon. He'd been training for over an hour, not resting. For now he would take a break. He slid the blade into the leather loop on his back and caught his breathe. After a few minutes he made his way to the castle. Apparently his family's honor would be on the line with his performance. He wouldn't let them down.

Hunched over a book secured with deer hide and sinew was the young prince. he rubbed his head in frustration as he wrote. His quill repeatedly crossed words out and pages were ripped off in anger. How could he do this? "Dear Princess...while I think you are a special girl...No ********!" he covered the words in a bar of black and started bellow. "Why? Why do I have to convince a girl to skip me as her husband? Why can't I find my own wife? Why must I be a prince?" He groaned painfully as his head dropped onto the desk. Weights were tied around his neck keeping the prince from lifting his head an inch.
The Prince had been working all night, plotting to let the girl down. he prayed that some miracle would happen and he would be freed from his curse. he had no feelings for this girl. He couldn't name anything he loved about her even if he was about to be executed. His eyes were soon shut and he was snoring, signaling his defeat. he had used a whole night and still failed.

--->Silently opening the door, she slipped into the Prince's room to clean up. Finding him asleep at his desk she tiptoes through out his room, picking up his sheets to change them. Her whole body felt tense as she walked through, cleaning up the bathroom and picking up anything on the floor. Quickly taking a blanket, she placed it on the Prince's shoulders and backed away, trying not to wake him. A floor board creaked under her foot and her entire body went still. Once she realized that he hadnt woken up, she let out a sigh and went over to pick up the sheets for washing. Leaving the room, she shut the door softly behind her. Using the washing board and a giant tub of cold water out in the yard behind the workers quarters, she started washing the sheets, feeling her knuckles get raw.
