Sunningrocks is located at the very border between RiverClan and ThunderClan in the old forest, next to the river. It is a large, flat rock formation in full view of the sun, getting very warm, therefore, it is a desirable location for warriors to take a break or elders to get out and stretch their legs. There are lots of prey animals nearby.
RiverClan fights with ThunderClan over Sunningrocks, but neither can ever manage to hold on to it very long.

Padding passed some brambles, Hollystar padded onto the rocky ground of Sunning rocks, feeling the warm heat of the sun on her black pelt.

Moonpaw quickly padded to his mentor's side panting from running as he looked around at the many animals he could call prey, looking to Hollystar he mewed more steady and no longer panting of being tired, "What do we start with Hollystar?" His voice sounded of happiness and excitement.

Hollystar thought for a moment, assessing the types of prey her apprentice would most likely be able to catch at his level. "First, start of scenting for prey. If you catch the scent of a water vole or mouse, give me a signal, and I'll tell you how to hunt it on the shore." She nodded towards the rocks, "Go ahead."

Moonpaw looked up at Hollystar before nodding to her directions. "Oh, okay I will." With that being said, the small apprentice padded out to the rocks where she nodded to going into the tall grass getting into hunting mode slowing his breathing so the creatures that was running by couldn't scents him.

Hollystar nodded to herself, approving of Moonpaw's crouch and his silencing of his breath. All that was left was keeping a silent as the dead and a piece of prey hanging from his jaws.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moonpaw let his sight scan the area for an easy target as his tail laid flat on the ground allowing him to crawl along the ground as his eyes locked onto a mouse that had wandered to far from the others. Watching, he saw the mouse wipe it's nose twice, before he let his form leap from his position onto the small mouse catching it between his claws easily killing it doing all the appropriate hunting skills he had learned from his father...both of them...as picking up the mouse he slowly trotted over to Hollystar with it in his mouth.

Hollystar nodded with approval at Moonpaw's catch. "Well done, Moonpaw. Your form was excellent as was your follow through. Keep it up with the next piece of prey you catch."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moonpaw let out a small purr of pride as he placed the mouse down next to his mentor as he sat down looking up at Hollystar as he softly panted from the tried chasing ears twitching to what she had to say as he nodded. " Alright..well can I get another~! this is really fun." He let a smile form as he looked to her.

Hollystar purred, happy that her apprentice was enjoying himself. "Great, now go and track something already. Prey doesn't catch itself."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moonpaw mewed softly as he looked up to his mentor nodding. "Okay~!" He purred a laugh hearing Hollystar's words before padding away to where the pray were running about as he got to the tall grass he lowered himself just as before laying his tail horizontal to his body so no creature could smell or see him. As he crouched down slowly, padding into the range of a small water vole, giving Hollystar a signal by flicking his tail softly.

Hollystar had been following her apprentice, observing his tracking skills when he signaled to her. Settling down where she could both get a better look at Moonpaw and be in the path of the vole if it came her way, she waited for him to pounce.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Pawing closer leaving no sound behind Moonpaw narrowed his sight as the water vole stopped its movements sensing the gray and white apprentice but was too slow to escape, Moonpaw had pounced on the vole holding it down for the kill bite to the throat picking it up from the neck padding over muffling "I did it!" dropping the water vole to the ground infront of Hollystar

Hollystar nodded in approval at the dead vole. "Very well done, Moonpaw." She sniffed the air, deciding that after the death of the creatures her apprentice caught it was time to move on into the forest to train. "Okay, now bury those. We're moving on to the forest."
