I didn't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for you. I settled on both.
Some people are surprisingly rude and full of themselves. It's not like it costs them anything to let you 'have' their tank link.

For some of the reasons you mentioned (sick, real life, not that much time on Gaia) I'm taking a long time to form the sequel to my booty grab thread. If someone threatened to withhold their tank because I was moving too slow I'd kindly revoke the invite and be done with it.

Besides, it's not like you actually need permission to link to someone's tank. Unless they remove it from their sig it is public info. If I see a stand out pretty tank and send the link to a friend to check it out I certainly don't bother asking the tank owner's permission. lol

Anyway, hang in there. Not everyone on Gaia has the patience of a four year old. It just seems that way some days. smile

A flamer? No. I didn't know there was a call for flamers of BG guilds. smile

I once had a user try to blackmail me for 1 million gold. He said he knew my password and if I didn't give him one million gold he was going to take everything out of my account. The logic was so sad it nearly had me real life ROFL. I'm sure he didn't have my password but obviously I changed it anyway - DUH! lol. And of course reported the PM. The brains behind that reminded me of those stories you hear about the dumb crooks who write the hold up note on the back of their on deposit slip.

And am I missing something about "all the trouble". I'm in a lot of guilds so I forget but didn't I just join and post my links or something?

I'm guessing those who are so impatient are not some of the well established high end tanks you see all over Gaia. I am less exposed than a few of the 'big names' (I think) but I'm still in over 400 BG threads. At some point the opening or closing of any one thread has minimal impact on the tank owner's daily play.

That sounds more like urban legend. Are you sure it is true?
However, the US has seen its share of OMG court cases. My son in law is going to college for a business degree. Parts of the studies include law and things that happen at businesses. He said one class was about various cases that had actually won. For example - one was a lady who got mad at her boyfriend (or something) and threw or intentionally spilled her drink. She turned to storm out and slipped on the wet spot she had just created. She sued the restaurant and won. Sad.

Also, just thank you for all the work on the guild. Life gets overwhelming by itself, much less when major stuff happens in it, or online. thank you again, and if you need anything, let me know.
