Until I can get on my laptop and make a little video on how to do one, I have also found this link helpful at how to make the magic ring for projects. This is a great start for beanies and other hats, as well as amigurumis.

Hey that's pretty neat! So it looks like the Magic Ring allows you to customize the size of the center hole? I will have to try this when I get home.

In a way yes, if you find the size you want it's best to take the tail and do a slip stitch and pull it all the way through to tie it off so it doesn't adjust to a bigger center...

That alone made all the difference in the world! Lol! The pictures with explanations were easy to follow (unlike the book Kusanagi has)
