StarClan are the deceased warrior ancestors of the Clans who live on in spirit form after dying, and watch over the living Clan cats. There is no specific leader for StarClan, since there are many cats from all four Clans, that work together.
When a cat dies and is going to be guided to StarClan by a StarClan cat, usually by a loved one or a mentor, they merely close their eyes and reopen them a few moments later. When leaders lose lives, those lives appear in StarClan as very faint copies of the leader, but they are unable to hear, speak, or touch other StarClan cats until the leader loses their final life. StarClan cats leave starry paw prints, their eyes shine like moons, and their pelts glow with a pale light, which makes them look like they have stars dappled in their fur.[5] The cats' spirits remain in StarClan until they are forgotten by all living and dead cats over a long time and earned their own peace, causing them to fade away to little more than ghost-like images of themselves. Darkstar got to her paws shaking her starry fur as she looked around amazed but sadden for leaving Blackstar so soon she mewed to herself as her tail swayed. "I wish I had spent more time with Blackstar...but she will do fine I know she will." Looking around for anyone she knew as she walked passed Dawnheart, Grayclaw, and Icestorm.
Dawnheart was speaking with Icestorm with much excitement wishing to know everything about her dear baby Moon as she mewed to the young she-cat. "Hey Icestorm..sorry if I am a bother, but I do wish to know how my small kitten is...I know I watch over him, but I wish I was there with him..like you were." She purred in happiness
Grayclaw...not paying any mind to the chit chat she-cats...he was watching over Moon as he ran to Hollystar...the gray striped tom curled his tail over his paws as his eyes shone over his kitten he then turned his attention to Icestorm in a soft growl in disappointment. "I really wish your mate did not abandon Moon...." He showed how much he cared for his son.

Icestorm looked at dawnheart lowering her ears but looking at Grayclaw trying not to snap insults at him. "Frost did not abandon Moon." She meowed trying to keep the best impression of being happy as she could. "It may not look it, but he keeps an eye on Moon whereever he is." She mewed turning her gaze from the tom getting to her paws and beginning to pad away.
Spottedstar shook her head, closing her eyes for a bit seeing how icestorm was acting. "You will have to excuse her, She still loves Icefa- I mean Frost." She mewed her voice was calm as she slipped by them to go after Icestorm to calm her down as she normally had to but was stopped by Ravenfeather who shook her head to tell her sister to let the warrior be.[/color ]"She needs to sort these things out on her own."The former leader nodded in agreement with her sister.

Dawnheart nipped at Grayclaw's ears for being so rude as she apologized to Spottedstar. "Sorry my mate is uneasy...you know with being up here and having to watch your son grow up...he is just worried...and I understand Icestorm's pain." Her voice was as sweet as the dawn must of been why she was called Dawnheart and not Whiteheart.
Grayclaw let his ears lower realizing how he was acting before he walked to Icestorm to apologize for his words meowing after her, "Icestorm...I...I am sorry I shouldn't have spoken so harshly...it's just that..Moon is our only son." This was true for Dawnheart failed to have anymore kits.
Darkstar sat down near a river like area as her ears twitched to the surroundings as she slowly was getting used to being here ears low as she laid on her paws purring slightly to herself. "Everything went so fast...."

Coming to the river, Hazelflight found Darkstar staring down into its watery depths. "Staring at it like that won't change things." She mewed, settling down beside the other she-cat, wrapping her tail around her paws. "You left your Clan in fine paws, Darkstar, I know you did. Blackstar has a kind heart, she'll lead her Clan well."

Darkstar's ears twitched to the sound of Hazelflight's voice as the dark furred she-cat lifted her head meowing o the other she-cat. "Oh of course I left my Clan in very good paws; it's not Blackstar that I am worried about," she stopped herself looking down to the RiverClan as her eyes shone on Blackstar as she continued, "..it's what's ahead for her that I am afraid of."

Icestorm narrowed her eyes at him, "I understand because I took him in." She meowed turning to walk away again not wanting to talk. "Moonpaw is fine, you need to know that so stop worrying so much. He's a fine young tom..that a kit has an eye on." She meowed lightening up abit before disappearing in the distance.
Spottedstar sighed looking at her sister before the river seeing Darkstar. "I'm going to speak with an old friend." She meowed dipping her head to Ravenfeather then padding over to Darkstar and Hazelflight catching the former leader's words. "Don't worry about what is ahead, You trusted her enough to look after the Clan you helped rebuild from Redstar's Nightmare torture." She paused searching her mind for the right words before speaking, "You lived though so much that you became wise enough to know that Blackstar would be a great leader. She will lead you're Clan the best she can to impress you because she knows you're watching."

Dawnheart pawed over to Grayclaw nuzzling the tom as she mew to him. "Dear you must be kind to Icestorm..I am sure she cares for Moonpaw as much as you do..." she then looked to the way Icestorm went before looking down to where Moonpaw was standing near Hollystar meowing to Grayclaw. "Our son will become a very strong warrior...we all know that..just give him sometime to grow..he will go through hardships...but he will get through it..so stop worrying so much before you get wrinkles." Laughing to her joke looking to Grayclaw.
Grayclaw blinked listening to Dawnheart as his ears began to lower as he looked to his mate. "Hmm..alright and I am sorry for how I acted..." looking to where Icestorm went before looking down to his son as he was getting along well with the others seeing there's nothing for him to worry about, meowing, "I know Moon will do just fine...and I WON'T get wrinkles." This made the gray tom laugh along with his mate feeling a bit better.
Darkstar nodded listening to her dear friend Spottedstar remembering how she helped restore RiverClan as she meowing. "I know Blackstar will do great." Purring as she looked down walking her old Clan go on with their lives as her ears suddenly went low remembering she had no kits down there. "Awh..if only I had kits of my own...that's probably the reason why I am so worried as well..."

Hazelflight placed her tail on Darkstar's shoulder. "I'm sure you would've been a great mother, Darkstar. Maybe you can help me watch over the little ones here in StarClan? Some of them haven't been joined by their mothers yet." She offered, looking at her former Clan leader for a nod of approval. Some things never change, no matter where she was at.

Darkstar blinked before looking to Hazelflight as she nodded to her meowing, "Hmm alright." Letting her ears lift up showing she was no longer upset before meowing, "What can I to assist you Hazelflight?"

Thinking over the long list of things always needed to be done about the kits, Hazelflight decided to go with the simplest task which also happened to be the funnest. "Playing with the kits so that they tucker out quicker for their naps. They've got more energy now than they did alive." Her whiskers twitched in amusement as she imagined several of the kits, all of different Clans, running around as the queens tried to gather them up for their naps.

Darkstar twitched her ears watching the kits run around as she purred softly always loving the sight of kits playing .As she got to her paws she mewed to Hazelflight. "Oh okay, I can play with them maybe then they will tire." She flicked her tail softly as she padded to the kits now smiling to herself as she lowered her nose to one of them. "Hey mind if I join your little game?" Tilting her head softly.

Hazelflight nodded to the kits who had stopped and stared wide-eyed at the former leader. They were a mixture of WindClan and ThunderClan kits, so weren't use to having a leader besides that of their birth Clans approach them. "Go on dears, she's a very kind cat." She purred, melting the kits' frozen postures as they all nodded vigorously at Darkstar to join their game.
