You said you'd always love me...

In the middle of an age-old war there were two lovers. Never did any of them have a straying eye, and never did they quarrel. There's was a love one could only find in a fairytale. But fairytales never go well in the real world.

The lovers' country, the gold country, was losing the war, so they began drafting nearly all the men into its army, even him. As the ships loaded their new recruits and reinforcements, the lovers embraced one last time, and there the man whispered into the woman's ear:

"We'll see each other again, and until then I will always love you. That, I promise."

Five years passed and still no news came from the man, yet the woman waited patiently. She never even thought about fooling around with another man, and not a minute passed when she wasn't thinking about him. It was a quiet day, in the midst of summer, and many people enjoyed spending time with their families outside. The woman, with no family to spend time with, stayed indoors and worked on a hobby of hers. That's when she heard it, the sound of people screaming and gunshots. The woman ran to the window to see what was happening and gasped. The opposing army, the black army, had begun invading the gold country, starting with her small town. The black army kidnapped people that could be brainwashed into being soldiers for their army, the rest they killed.

The frightened woman tried to leave, but the front door was kicked open and a gun was pointed at her head. She stared at the gun then looked up to see the wielder of the gun was her husband.

Man 1

There's not much he can remember. About a year during his time in the war he was taken prisoner and brainwashed into being a Black Army soldier, he can't even remember his wife. He's been a loyal soldier and earned the rank of Lieutenant, but constantly gets the feeling like he should be doing something else.

Genevieve 'Genny' Imogen le Fay

A loyal and beautiful woman that won the hearts of many. Her husband took her back to the Black country so she could be brainwashed into a soldier, but she tried her best to defy the techniques. She knows that her husband must have been brainwashed and plans to help him get out of it, even if it means sacrificing herself.

Man 2

One of the soldiers of the Black Army that's prime objective is to keep an eye on Man 1. Why? There's a chance that something could go wrong and mess with the brainwashing, and the army can't afford losing someone like Man 1. Man 2 has kept an eye on him by being his best friend throughout the five years, and it even became an authentic friendship.

Aya R. T. Skull

The head of a group in the Black Country that fights alongside the Gold Country, Aya is a bit of a punk rebel that has a mysterious past. She keeps her distance from everyone, but can also be very caring, especially to orphans. She has a deep hatred for the Black Army and what they do, and to prove it, she attacks them often with her small army. Though her army is small, their technology and determination is great, so they've made quite the names for themselves.

Man 3

The second-in-command of Aya's army, as well as her longtime friend. He is the only one that knows her past, but he has kept it a secret for a good long time and does not plan on ruining that. Though he hides it well, he's been in love with Aya for as long as he can remember.

Dalfos Krellin

The head of the Black Army, and a very dark man. He is the main villain in this story, and the brainwashing was his idea to begin with. Known to many as the entire country's king, Dalfos does not speak for himself, but instead speaks through his weapons. Many of the weapons the Black Army has are his designs, and he doesn't care about who it kills. That just means they're doing they're job. This corrupted fiend may not show his emotions that much, but he has a strong desire to conquer the world.

Woman 3

A friendly woman who tries to keep her family out of danger by working in the Black Army. She is the one in charge of brainwashing the poor people. When she saw Genny and heard her story, she couldn't help but pity the poor girl, and so she decided to sneak her out and let her hide with her family until she could find a way to get out of the country, or find her lover.

Man 5 and Woman 4

Twins of Woman 3. As Man 5 spent time with Genny, he slowly came to fall in love with her and wanted her to be with him. Since she would stay loyal to her husband, he decided that the only way to win her heart would be to kill Man 1, so he joined the army with his twin sister.
Woman 4 is a bit of a fighter and was convinced through propaganda that what the Black Army was doing was right. She worked close to Man 1 and fell in love with him around the time her brother fell in love with Genny. Though, because she spends almost all her time with the army, she doesn't get to go to her old home, so she doesn't know that Man 1's wife is living there.

Personality :: Genevieve is a very gentle soul. She is very patient and really has no temper whatsoever, but can get slightly irritated at times. She isn't one to necessarily hate others, but doesn't have a great level of tolerance when it comes to those close to her. She is quite protective of those she loves and would sacrifice herself for their happiness and well-being. Genny is very calm and tends to solve problems with kind words instead of violence. She is very trusting and welcoming, tending to open up her heart easily to people, which isn't always the best thing for someone like herself.
Biography :: Born years ago in the deep past that few can dare to remember, Genevieve was a popular young woman ever since she was old enough to bat her eyes. She was a popular candidate for arranged marriages, but her loving father refused for her to be wed to anyone she did not love. Her stepmother, replacing her deceased surrogate mother, though did not approve. With Genny still living in her parents' house, her stepmother, Desdemona, had no time to spend with her father, who was always aweing over his perfect daughter. Little did the two know that Desdemona had a horrid fate in mind for the young woman. She paid a handsome traveller to make Genevieve fall in love with him, which he did. But he as well fell for her and revealed to genny that Desdemona had wanted him to kill her. He was unable to kill her or face Desdemona so he fled, neevr to be seen or heard from again. Genevieve was absolutely heartbroken, having her own stepmother stab he rin the back as well as losing her first love. Her father became worried about her sudden spiral into depression and decided to have her meet a few of the elligable bachelors of the town. She happily did so, but found none of them to her tastes. She had become rather picky after losing her first love, which her father frowned deeply upon. He spoke with Desdemona about it, who suggested having their picky princess to be wed to a prince. Genevieve was quick to decline, but the odds were not in her favor and the wedding was scheduled before she even met her husband-to-be. Little did anyone know but the beautiful girl had fallen in love- with a scholar, which her father would be quick to dismiss. The man was wounded gravely by the news that they wouldn't have a future they dreamed of and found no other reason to continue on living. He killed himself without so much as a word to his love, Genevieve, who was, once agian, heart-broken. She was wed to the prince, but their marriage did not last long. The two bickered more than anyone and seperated quickly, much to Desdemona's distaste. She was tired of Genevieve getting her way and plotted against the girl. Genny's father was first to hear about his wife's plot and had her locked away, but it didn't last for long. The horrid woman broke free of the locks and killed both the man and his daughter- but Genevieve was not to die so easily. She partly survived the attempted murder, living on in her battered body, which healed. No one ever knew that the woman survived, for she was quick to move homes. In her new hometown, she met a wonderful man and fell madly in love with him but was devastated when he was drafted for war. She planned to hold him to his promise, not laying eyes on any man that was not her true love for five long years. But now that he was returned to her, not the man she once knew, Genevieve doesn't know what she's to do.

Abilities: As far as we know, Dalfos has the uncanny ability to manipulate one's mind, which is how he created his brainwashing experiment.
Personality: Dalfos is a truly dark person. All who have worked around him think of him as the mysterious and evil mastermind with a dark charisma about him. He is said to flirt with any gender he thinks he can use, but it's only if there's something he wants from them. He keeps to himself and has been known to be very cruel and ruthless. On one account it's been said that he personally killed a little girl's family and left her to live with the painful loneliness all because she got mud on his uniform.
Bio: There is only one thing you must know about General Dalfos: He is in charge. The king of the Black Kingdom has always been a depressed man, very manipulative, too, and with a few tugs on his puppet strings, Dalfos was given leadership of the kingdom's entire army. That was not enough, though. He needed more power if he was to conquer the puny Gold Kingdom, so why not take their power and use it against them? How was he to do this? Simple: Brainwashing. The General has done this before, as he did with the king, so he put it to more use and forced Gold Army soldiers to fight for his vast empire of an army. With his army either killing rebels or brainwashing them, it is only a matter of time before the world belongs to him.
