Take a deep breath.. Inhaling.. Just calm down.. Exhaling.. Don't stand out. The door opens. He steps inside.
There's noise everywhere. Drunk conversations going on, music playing, almost like any normal bar. The smell of alcohol surrounded him. The scent of blood mixed in the air was what made him uneasy. Eyes flicker in his direction. Some for only a second, others never leaving him as he crossed the room... Some of them hungry. The large messenger bag around his shoulder suddenly felt ten times heavier than normal.
Stop clutching your bag.. His hand only gripped it's strap tighter. A few sets of eyes in the room noticed. You'll only look suspicious. He reluctantly let his hand drop to his side. You're already checked in. Now you're just getting a drink. You can do this. Act normal.. He took a seat at the counter, keeping his distance from the few vampires seated there, as well. His voice felt almost mechanical when he said to the bartender, "Just scotch, please." He lifted his bag and placed it in his lap. When the small glass was placed in front of him, he muttered a small thanks and took a drink.

It didn't take long for him to finish his first drink, as strong as it was. This place was full of vampires, and he had a bag full of anti-vampire equipment. How could he resist drinking? Reaching into a side pocket of his bag, he pulled out his wallet, fished out some money, and placed it down on the counter. "Another scotch?" The bartender gave a small nod, and soon, he was downing his second glass. Just don't get too drunk, Malcolm.. You don't want to do something you regret just because you had one too many.

Night one in the popular hotel, Deadly Fang. He found himself in the hotel's bar soon after checking in. As would be expected, vampire hotels were very common places for vampires to stay for days, weeks, even longer. Of course, this wasn't the kind of place that someone like him could just waltz in and kill one of the guests. While it would be a bonus to kill off a vampire or two, that wasn't why he was there.
Not long ago, Malcolm had a run-in with a rather strong vampire. Not low-class, that was for sure. He didn't come close to defeating him, and to his surprise, the vampire spared his life, giving him one piece of advice. While he was human, he should just stick to killing off the trash of the population--low-class, in other words. He told him, the only way he could ever hope to become strong enough was to fight fire with fire. He had to become exactly what he wanted to kill.

Malcolm had dwelled on this for weeks, having an inner battle with himself. Was it really worth it, to become one of them just to serve justice? Then he thought.. If that vampire had any less mercy, he'd have killed him off while he was down. If it were any other vampire, Malcolm might not have been alive to make the decision.
If he wanted to avoid another situation like that, Malcolm had to become stronger. To become stronger, he had to become...

That's why he was there. Malcolm was in search for a vampire who he could trust--as hard as that would be--to help make this happen.

Ian had gotten up early, well what he would define as early, considering any normal human would believe it to be morning. What he meant was during the early hours of the night, when it was finally dark out and it was better for vampires to be moving around. Leaving his bed and dressing, staring into his closet, he had a clean nice suit to wear, but he never really liked being so done up. It was rare but he did wear the suit when it called for it, otherwise he dressed as comfortably as he wanted without looking like a slob. His mistress would likely get pissy at him if he did look like some schlub.

Speaking of, it was about that time he needed to go wake her, his beautiful mistress Aimay. She was the one he served, though he wasn't like some mindless robot of a servant, unlike some he had a personality. Smirking as he made sure he was fixed up and his clothes weren't crinkled, Ian stepped from the room, walking the short distance to his mistress' room, giving a short rap of his knuckles to the door. "Mistress Aimay?" He called, having learned his lesson the one time he had opened the door and gone into her room when she hadn't answered. Aimay had been less then pleased with him, criticizing him, saying what if she had been indisposed, had he hoped to walk in on her like that and seem like a little perv.

He yawned…Erick was now awake. Taking a peek at the alarm clock, the vampire only got the confirmation it was about time to get up. The sun was down and the night before, all the Donovan had managed to do was check in and fall straight onto his new bed, having been exhausted by the previous night where he’d gone through a very long trip from Transylvania to come way over here, at the famous Deadly Fang Hotel. Why bother himself such a journey? Well, he wanted to keep Very far from his homeland…and heck, there was a gorgeous vampire hotel in this city, so it really was just all convenient. Plus, there was a considerable ‘bonus’ here, waiting unknowingly for the man.

Taking a shower and then getting dressed, the slight rest of fatigue wasn’t yet gone from Erick’s eyes that he came out of his room and walked over to the hotel’s main entrance’s bar. It was funny, how vampires felt the vibes of an Elder when any passed by… Taking a seat, Donovan held a corner smile at all the attention he was getting. At his age, he should’ve been used to it by now…but thing was, he had been locked away for so long, that at his awakening 500years later, he now was an Elder and the past two years, he had had to prove he’d learned his lesson after his dreadful blunder, plus that he wouldn’t abuse of his new strength his years were giving him and also did he have to adapt to the new world, since it had evolved so much, due to technology and such… So, now newly getting back into actual society, of course he had to get used to the flattering looks of hatred and envy.

Looking at the bartender, smiling smugly, Erick demanded:
“O minus blood type with a whole lot of whiskey in it.” He didn’t mind paying an extra; he just felt like he deserved a little rarity. There had better be some left behind the counter, though… Anyway, waiting for his drink, Erick glanced around, soon noticing, with his scent, that the person closest to him was a human. A man, and with that, one that didn’t seem all too comfortable…the vampire thought it was funny, but didn’t care to comment about it anymore, once his drink was served. Taking a sip out of his glass after winking at the bartender as if saying ‘thanks’, Erick soon set down his drink, chuckling mildly and commenting, with a slight frown for a second: “Hmm… Well, that’s no fresh blood coming from a child… I did hope your stuff was better than this.”; though he’d drink it anyway. He really was just messing with the bartender. The guy than gave him a shrug, smiling just a tad while rubbing a now clean glass with a cloth, saying how it really was just due to the rare blood type, sadly. Erick replied, smirking: “Yeah…I do guess there aren’t many children, if at all, volunteering for giving out their blood intently to thirsty vampires, yes? I might as well go fish out there for one myself.” The bartender laughed some; he knew the Elder was joking…such acts weren’t worthy of a high-class vampire like he. Erick just chuckled some and looked down at his drink, taking in more of it this time, appreciating the mix of good blood with the taste of whiskey. Well, he was fully awake by now…just taking things slow and trying to enjoy himself. He couldn’t wait to get to what he’d really come here for; there was someone he was dying to see.

Malcolm had ordered a third drink, drinking this one much slower. Those first two had already helped his nerves enough. Now he just needed a drink to sip on. Fortunately, he wasn't too bad at holding his liquor.
In fact, the drinks helped so much, that he hadn't even noticed the odd reactions of the other vampires. If he had, he would have realized that an Elder had just walked in. He hadn't been aware of the new presence until the vampire took a seat almost right next to him. He only had to glance at him for a moment, taking a look around the room, as well, to know he wasn't just some vampire. He was too high of himself, and he was getting more looks than Malcolm had been. It wasn't every day that he had been so close to an Elder.. He wasn't an idiot, either. He knew he couldn't stand a chance against an Elder, so he couldn't help but be at least a little nervous with the bag of weapons in his lap. Maybe he'd be needing a fourth scotch soon, after all.

Malcolm didn't take even another glance over to Erick while he sipped at his drink. He didn't want to get involved in anything with that vampire.. Especially with how smug he was acting. He wanted to roll his eyes, but didn't chance it.
Malcolm put down the empty glass and pushed it forward. He'd had enough. The worst thing he could do right now--especially while trying to keep himself unnoticed--was to get hammered in a bar full of vampires. He had almost started to rise from his seat, his hands on the counter to push himself up, when his ears caught the words of the vampire beside him. He didn't move for a second.. As Erick continued to joke, Malcolm slowly sat himself back down.

He should have just left.. He knew that. He was about to just a moment ago, so why couldn't he get himself to get up? He knew it was a bad idea to listen in on this conversation, but he couldn't help himself.
It was that last comment that really got to him; 'I might as well go fish out there for one myself.'

Malcolm didn't know what happened. Maybe it was all of the alcohol. Maybe it was just so much anger overtaking him.. Or maybe he really was just an idiot. He didn't even know when his hand reached inside of his bag, but now here he was, his arm stretched out to his side, pointing a handgun at the Elder's head. He almost dropped his arm when everything had gone quiet. It was then that he realized what an idiotic move he'd just made, and the rest of the vampires surely thought he was crazy. Still, he didn't lower his gun for even a second. If he did that, he would not only look like an idiot, but a coward, as well.

Malcolm didn't say anything for the moment, only giving Erick a look as if to dare him to keep talking. Behind that look, however, the thought crossed his mind for a split second, whether he wanted it to or not; I'm going to die..

Veronica was a young Donovan, and also the only sister of Erick. When she was a child, Erick was far from gentle with her; he wanted her to be hardened and he succeeded. The day her brother was locked away, Veronica had decided to follow the bloody footsteps of her beloved big brother. She wanted to show the world that the Donovans had to be respected! What she didn’t know was that with all those years of isolation, her brother had calmed himself down. Therefore, we could see that Erick had not only well educated her, but also his sister was even worse than him... She was often called the bloody Donovan. Many vampires were afraid of her, even if she wasn’t an elder, but those who had much to fear were humans. To Veronica, they were like a buffet.

Veronica had just arrived at the Deadly Fang Hotel. She had immediately gone to the bar before moving into her new home. She was sitting alone at a table when an Elder entered the place. Immediately she looked at him, finding him very attractive, and she didn’t let her gaze go off him. Then, out of the blue, this little human trash spoiled all her plans of seduction. Is he suicidal or what?! Then, that's when the Elder turned his head to the side to look at the human in question. Erick!... He is finally released?!... Vero was in shock, she not only had just learned that her brother was free, but he also seemed to hesitate into killing or not the ordinary human. She looked around, thinking that perhaps no one had paid attention, but she was disappointed into seeing that it was not the case...not at all, in fact. But why does he hesitate...? Everyone is waiting for a response worthy of an Elder! An Elder...my brother is...an Elder... She realized how before many more years, never would her brother and she be on the same wavelength. She rose, although Veronica sure doesn’t equal the presence of an elder, but she gave off an aura of fear and blood. Walking slowly towards Erick and the human, taking care to snap her heels on the hotel’s marble floor, Veronica looked at all the vampires, one after the other. Her look said a lot about the death warning she shot at them. When she came close to the human, she used her great speed to grab the gun and the hand of the man and then forced him to put it on his back. As she was not very gentle, we could hear a bone cracking. Oops... and one dislocated shoulder... A large smile appeared on her lips. Still at high speed, she pulled the human by his coat, giving a new glare to all others in the room, and she took him in a small private room. Since she’d been in her high speed Erick couldn’t identify the female vampire, but she hoped that he would follow. Veronica pushed the human male onto the closest couch, waiting for Erick.

Erick had been closing his eyes while drinking, tilting his head back only a bit as he was intending on finishing his bloodied liquor. Many thoughts were crossing his mind, such as: Would she recognize him? -- Remember his name, even? He did hope for a good reaction… She owed him one, even though she probably had no idea about that fact. His daydreaming was soon interrupted though, by a metallic sound, as the human he’d vaguely noticed earlier just…ended up stretching his arm out and pointed a gun to the Elder’s very head, out of the blue. Opening his eyes once he was done with his drink - which barely was a few seconds later - Erick calmly set the empty glass onto the counter, and only then did he turn his head towards the man, now having the weapon aiming at his own forehead, instead of temple. Now…he was debating on what to do, holding a neutral expression. Should he go ahead and ‘appear’ behind the man after using his vampire speed and say a little ‘boo’ into the hollow of his very ear, which would probably have the man panic? Should he use his most praised ability and have the powder inside the gun catch on fire, which would have the weapon explode and probably screw the man’s hand? Should he just jump on him or even send him to hit the nearest wall? Well…the last two didn’t quite suit the place… He didn’t want to be expelled from the hotel just because of this human… What about this human, anyway? Was he insane? Sure had some issue, for pointing a gun at an Elder like this… Hrm…well, staring at the man some more, holding his gaze, Erick started doubting he was dumb after all. There was just something in his eyes… The vampire ended up smirking…he thought this human was quite amusing! Just when he was about to speak, Erick was surprised at how someone interfered… Well, he sure had been long to react, so he did guess he’d deserved that… Hearing a crack though, he could only hope it wasn’t Malcolm’s neck. Next thing he knew, was that the other vampire was now dragging the poor man by his clothing, away to some nearby, private room. Blinking, Erick just then rose from his stool, laughing some, saying how the show was over, and he picked up the human’s large bag, shoving it over his own shoulder, and he made his way to the room in which the dark, long haired vampiresse now was with the human, just after paying much generously for his expensive drink, leaving a very good tip to the bartender.

Once inside, Erick closed the door behind him, and then turned towards the two. Seeing the poor man on the couch, he made a sufficient smile, noting how he was still alive. Turning his attention to the girl, the Elder’s smile faded some as he slightly tilted his head, realizing the girl looked familiar.
“Do I know you?” couldn’t he help asking. Snapping out of it before even receiving an answer back, Erick set down the human’s bag by the entrance and then came to sit right next to him, grinning. “Now…tell me… Just what got into you?” he seemed curious of the man. Putting himself at ease, Erick laid an arm along the couch’s back and his body was slightly turned towards the human as he crossed his legs somewhat elegantly, waiting for either answer.

Aimay had already been awake for an hour. She was thinking that since Ian had not come to wake her up, it should most likely not be the time to get up yet. So, she stayed in bed. She had a bad feeling... As if today was going to have something special. She was looking forward to that mystery being dissipated, because it was preventing her from sleeping in, so she wasn’t in a good mood. When Ian finally came knocking on her door to wake her; Aimay had gotten tired of waiting and she was already dressed. She was now sitting in front of her little mirror desk to put on some jewelry, makeup and to fix her hair. "You can come in Ian; I’m awake and fully dressed up!" Aimay liked to say, safe and sound, that she was dressed up to him as she remembered very well when Ian had came in without warning in her room two or three times when he was starting off to work as her slave and he’d surprised her in action with either a beautiful man, or completely naked after a nice and warm shower. It was clear to her that Ian was a man like any man; that he thought that she was irresistibly beautiful. So that’s about how she ended up nicknaming him her favorite “little perv’’. Aimay continued to prepare herself when Ian came in and as usual, he was probably going to do her bed. "I think I'll go for a drink in my private room downstairs, so you are free during that time but be ready to leave the hotel at any time, alright?" She put on a little perfume and rose from her seat. "I will bring you back a glass of O minus for breakfast." Aimay went in front of her slave and she gave him a little kiss on the cheek, as usual before leaving her room. Ian was not allowed to leave the suites without her, so she always rewarded him with a good quality of fresh blood when she returned. The rarest blood was O minus, so it was, in almost all cases, the favorite blood of vampires. But, Aimay’s favorite was the AB plus, as she said she loved when tastes were mixed and diversified.

It had already been a few hours that Elizabeth had started her working day; it was now time to wake Esteban and clean his room. So, she took her personal key, went gently into the suite. As usual, Esteban’s bedroom door was open. He knew she was coming and he was gallant enough to close the door when he was with a woman. In her little uniform, Elizabeth went to sit on the upper corner of the bed and with a soft voice she whispered low to Esteban. "...Esteban? It's time to wake up, the sun has set..." She opened a small light that was very low. Esteban had made it on measure to wake himself up gently. If Elizabeth was to forget about turning it on, Esteban would never get up. Once the light switched on, she went to prepare the bathroom; she got the thermostat’s heat and the shower’s hot enough. She took a nice big towel that she put on the plastic bar that was on the wall near the shower for that purpose. She closed the door of the bathroom and a dressing gown in her arms she went to see if Esteban was finally awake. "Here is your robe. The bathroom is very hot and ready for you." Elizabeth put down the robe at the foot of the bed and went to start cleaning the living room. She would always prepare the bathroom before he got up because if Esteban was to be a little cold while taking his shower, he would be grumpy until the next day. Elizabeth did not stay too long in her boss’ bedroom, because she had once surprised him sleeping naked and ever since then she blushed when he was close to her. For a long time she believed it was simply because now she imagined having sex with him but now she thought she loved him perhaps more than she thought. Every day, she has to do the sweeping, mopping and dusting of all the suite of the vampire. This treatment was only for Esteban's room and only Elizabeth could do it, as otherwise it was never done well enough, neither would the man even let someone else take care of it and thus come into his suite.

The rain has moved on...

...And left a new day...

Sage walked cautiously towards the bar. she had checked in this hotel only this morning. literally in the morning. it had been an interesting experience. quite complicated too.
" vodka." she said flatly to the bartender there. her eyes stared at the counter until the drink came into view. then her eyes scanned the crowd into he room. " now where would you be?" she thought looking for a certain blond haired younger person." oh Jonas.. your an a**." more thoughts went through her head about her love sick sibling. that what she was here for. to find him. there had to be at least one person who had heard of him... if he was even alive anymore.
she set the glass back on the counter with such an air that the bar tender refilled it instantly. she wasn't comfortable here, even though she'd been around these kind of people for year. maybe that why she felt so hostile.

...Nothing seems to move....

Everything is still.....

Malcolm only narrowed his eyes once the Elder turned his head to face him. A small bead of sweat trailed down his temple, clenching his jaw. He would only shoot if the vampire tried to attack... Though, he doubted he'd have time to even pull the trigger.
Seeing that smirk worried him, and he gripped the gun tighter, visually threatening to shoot. He had heard the footsteps approaching, but wasn't sure it was a good idea to take his eyes off of the Elder his gun was pointed at.

He did turn his head, finally, but before he could see who it was that approached, he felt the gun taken from his hand, and he found himself with his arm pinned behind his back. The cracking made him cringe, but it was the pain that made him yell. He didn't even have time to get out a curse word when he was grabbed. It almost felt like he'd been thrown, but when he opened his eyes, he was on the couch of another room. He grunted when he'd landed on the couch, his arm in pain. 'Fast...' he thought, holding his stomach with his good arm. 'Too fast..' He felt dizzy.. Traveling at that speed with three glasses of scotch in him made him want to puke. He almost did, in fact, even doubling over.

He had to close his eyes until his head stopped spinning. When he opened them, though, he was startled at seeing the grinning vampire right beside him. Instinctively, he moved as far to the other side of the couch as he could, distancing himself. He didn't show fear in his expression, but that didn't mean he wasn't feeling it. He was in a room alone with two vampires.. One who dislocated his shoulder, and the other being an Elder.

Hearing the question, Malcolm almost relaxed.. Why was the vampire bothering with questions? Well, he wasn't dead yet.. So he still had a chance.. To kill the Elder, no.. To beg for his life.. Also, no. All he had to do was try to survive for now. Even so, that didn't mean he was going to act like they were all friends.
Taking a second to recover from the motion sickness, Malcolm rubbed his forehead with the back of his hand. "I couldn't just.. sit back and let you talk like that.." he said, his voice low. Angry. "Treating children like some kind of.. snack." The word almost made him shiver. Sitting up straight, he gave Erick a glare. "Only a sick man would joke about harming innocent children just for the sake of quenching his thirst."

Veronica was stunned. How could he not recognize me? Well...it has been 500 years since we last saw each other, but still! She was his sister and he did not care even the slightest for telling her that he was finally released. Now, he was giving more attention to an ordinary human he had not even had the courage to leave him for dead. Veronica threw one hell of a scary look, to scare the human. "We do not care about what you can tell! Keep your s**t; if not I'll eat you raw!" She went to Eric and she slapped him without restraint. "And you! You think you're an Elder... Pff! What do you think you looked like out there, huh? I saved your a**; if he would’ve been a real Vampire Slayer, which is clearly not the case, he would’ve had time to kill you 36 times! Plus, how dare you not remember me?! You are a pathetic big brother..." The vampire went to the human; she took off his hat and she put it forcefully into his mouth. "You better avoid screaming, I mean that…at the count of three…three!" When she said ''I mean that'' she showed him her very sharp fangs. At three, she pushed the man's shoulder in the opposite direction of a normal shoulder. We there again heard the sound of a cracking bone. Veronica had just repaired his shoulder. She then walked towards the door, visibly upset by the whole scene. She had her hand on the handle when she turned harshly. "You've been out since when, exactly? Would it really have killed you to come see me?!" She supported Erick’s look. She was frustrated at him to death and she was decided to hear the answer.

How the human male startled at seeing the grinning vampire sitting right next to him and how the man then distanced himself from the nightwalker as much as he could; that did get a chuckle out of Erick. Grinning still, the vampire held back from moving closer again to the male, even as much as that could’ve been funny, just to freak the poor man out some more, for the heck of it. Nope, instead he remained just where he was and listened calmly to the answer he’d been willing to hear.

At the human’s first words, Erick tilted his head to the side slightly. He had already forgotten about his little joke on children blood, from earlier. Hearing that that was what had ticked the male so much, even leading him into pointing a gun at the Elder’s head…it was…interesting. Especially due to the anger he could hear in the man’s voice… Seeing the male sit up straight, Erick’s gaze shifted from Malcolm’s eyes to his dislocated shoulder, and then back at the man's pair of light brown hues. He wondered how badly that could hurt, a shoulder in this state…and yet, the man wasn’t grimacing much, if at all. Perhaps he didn’t want to show vulnerability. It did make him think, though…
‘Only a sick man would joke about harming innocent children just for the sake of quenching his thirst.’ It appeared that over 500years ago, Erick was a…very sick man, then. He held back a laugh at the thought…though he knew isolation had made a new man out of him and probably would he never taste the exquisite blood of children ever again. Well, a five centenary cure sure did help, for that matter. “Hah…” was all he found to say for now.

Erick was driven out of his staring at the man and his thinking about many things while he’d been doing so, when the black haired vampiresse just seemed to…burst out. It appeared like she was angry… Well, that’s what Erick deduced out of her voice tone and how she looked, now that he had driven his attention back to her. Now…she was speaking for him? If he’d cared to ask a question to the human…it was only normal that the man would reply, right?
“Please just --” He blinked. …What? …Really? …She’d…just come up to him and…slapped him across the face, just now? Why…she was one hell of a lucky girl… Old Erick would’ve stood right up and torn the insolent brat apart. But no…the Elder just remained seated and stared at the young lady. Hrm…now that he gave it more thought, she did remind him of someone. That temper of hers…he couldn't be mistaking. Listening to her, the vampire really just seemed like he had spaced out for the time being, even after her referring at him as a pathetic big brother. What had him snap out of it, was another bone crack. A slight shiver ran down his spine…the sound was thrilling, to him. Yet, holding an empty expression ever since he got slapped, the vampire didn’t look back at the man…he only listened. The yell Malcolm had given out earlier had been exciting… It even kept playing in the vampire’s mind over and over again, as it had been the first human yell of pain he’d heard ever since he’d been locked away… He chased such thoughts from his mind for now, as the vampiresse’s question requested an answer. Looking over at her, he replied: “Veronica…” Just then, out of the blue, he went beaming. It was…practically scary. “I’m sorry… I just didn’t expect to see you here. Now…let me make it up to you; I’ll go join you in your room…as you are staying in this hotel, right? -- I’ll tell you everything you need to know…but only then, okay~?” He did picture she'd do as he'd just said.

You can reprimand me all night long
All I know is that it was worth the pain
