Honestly, it's great even though it's very dated. It's my first play through of it, and i'm enjoying it thus far.

Basically, I recruited a br0 from shady sands; this giant guy, goes by the name of "Ian". So, me and Ian explore Vault 13, and then head off to Junktown to see what's there. However, en route we are intercepted by a gang of raiders, whom do not wish to play nicely. Ian takes the first shot, and then me; I tear off a guys arm with a point blank burst from my SMG, however then Ian decides to get the s**t kicked out of him by a couple of raiders with sharpened kitchen utensils, even though he is wielding a pistol with enough firepower to punch in a steel door and blow off the face of the guy on the other side. So, Ian gets knocked unconscious while I switch to my hunting rifle and start practically ramming the barrel of my gun down the throat of this raider, and still manage to miss him two or three times. Eventually, I kill the guy and Ian gets back up; only to run away and get persued by a pair of the fiendish bastards. So, I chase after them but i'm tackled by another raider, but this time he's got a Deagle. So, I shoot the s**t out of him and run after Ian, only to find that he's been killed. In a brutal act of revenge, I attempt to gun down the two remaining, and now fleeing raiders; managing to take down one and letting the other escape in the process. It doesn't matter, he can spread the word of the mighty Vault Dweller and his thirst for slaughter.

What do now? Well, I steal everyone's s**t (Ian included), and make it to Junktown; where I plan to sell everything and blow my fortune on narcotics and gambling.


TL;DR, played fallout, lost a follower, killed raiders and stole s**t.

Considering I'm a stranger posting in 2012 and nobody answered you, maybe it was/is dead.

I found FO1 very interesting because it drew me in and swallowed me whole with intrigue. Sneaky bloody vault overseers. Not to mention the mechanics. I would get scared because of the atmosphere, and feel in danger even if it was turn-based.
