Since this is the first contest for this guild I think it should be a post-count contest. The person to make the most posts over the course of a week gets to choose between 2 prizes and the 2nd highest will receive the other prize as a consolation.
Please read the contest components, paying attention to dates and rules.
How to Join the Contest
Since everyone has a different post count as of this contest, I will be taking entrees as to who wants to take part.
In order to become a contestant, please post a reply to this thread saying so. I will be taking entries from now through Sunday, August 14th at 3 PM PST. The post count, as of that time, for each contestant will be logged.
How to Win
As of August 14th, 4 PM PST (just 1 hour after the closure of the entrees) the contest will officially begin and stay open for 1 week, to be closed on Sunday, August 21st at 11:59 PM PST. This gives ample amount of time for people to post throughout the forums and build up their post count.
Post Restrictions
Since this is a themed guild there will be a couple of rules as to what posts will count:
*All posts must be on topic!
*Please have substance to your replies. By substance, I mean to say, a reply must be at least a sentence in length and not just fluff such as, "That's cool." or "How neat!"
*No bumping! I consider bumping to be any 1-word reply.
This seems fair for all participating so anyone that is unwilling to adhere to those rather reasonable post restrictions runs the risk of being disqualified.
The Swag
These are the prizes I am offering up at the end of this contest:
*August 2011 sealed collectible envelope
*2 Valefore Academy (tickets, not bundles)
Once the winners have been tabulated the prizes will be sent as a gift and announced!

I'll give it a go, it sounds like something that will get me more involved and it's a great way for us all to get to know each other! Will it just be one thread where we all make posts?

Eye Bleeding Ink I'd like to join, though I don't know if I'll be posting much since I have work this weekend at my second job. Well, the good thing is, this weekend is primarily for getting a list of those who will participate. The actual post count starts Sunday evening and goes for the whole week. I start school Monday so, I know I will be on half as much as I normally am, but I will be checking back each night. biggrin

Wowza! What a weekend!
Well, I'm in a bit of a rush so I will make this short and sweet:
I got really sick yesterday and was unable to function near midnight, when this contest was to be over and done with (rather unexpectedly and believe me, the not being able to breathe part was really, really scary!)
So I am extending the contest until this evening, Monday, August 22 @ 7pm PST.
Hope ya'll don't mind/ I figure this will be a good way to get some last minute posting in before I tally away!
