A) What is a guild? What is Dream World? Why is this guild called Dream World?
A guild is basically like a club on Gaia Online. For example, Dream World is guild. Guilds on Gaia Online offer forums and many other features.

Dream World is a guild, which means Dream World is a club. We're called "Dream World" because we are a community mainly about Gaia, and in a sense, Gaia is like a world we all dream was real.

B) What do "Captain", "Vice Captain" and "Crew" mean?
"Captain", "Vice Captain" and "Crew" are the three levels of staff members for guilds. Captains are the highest rank, Vice Captains are the second highest, and Crew are the lowest rank. All staff members however have special powers that regular members do not have, as well, staff members enforce rules within this guild.

C) Who are the current staff members of Dream World?
A list of current staff members can be seen on the main page of Dream World.

D) What do I do if I want to suggest an idea for Dream World?
If you have an idea for the guild, please send a private message to "Zandykins" with your idea. Not all ideas suggested will be implemented, however, if it's a valid idea then it will be considered.

E) How can I become a part of the Dream World staff?
Dream World staff members are specially selected. If you are interested in becoming a staff member then there are some requirements you must have. You must have been on the guild for at least 1 month, been relatively active in the forums, maintain a clear record without any warnings from other staff members regarding behavior, have have proper spelling/punctuation/grammar (ie, capitals where needed, correct spelling, etc...). If you fit all three of the requirements, send a private message "Zandykins" for further instructions. Please note, not all people will be added as staff members even if they fit all of the requirements. Staff members will be added when needed.

F) How can I help Dream World out?
The main way you can help out Dream World is by advertising us and inviting your friends. We're always trying to expand our userbase, so advertising and inviting your friends really helps us out!

G) Can I make a donation to Dream World?
While we appreciate your donations, we generally do not need donations. If you are interested in donating, please send a message to "Zandykins. All gold donated will be used for contest prize funds or for the cost of making announcements/forums. Donations are non-refundable. All donations sent through the front page are also appreciated, however, all that gold will only be used to fund announcements.

H) How can I advertise Dream World?
The best way to advertise Dream World is by putting the image below in your signature, Gaia Shop, journal, or any other thread you have created.

Please note, you may use any image you like (as long as it's appropriate) to advertise our guild. The images above are samples made by staff members. (Unfortunately, we will not be putting up any more advertisement banners above by any other users unless we specifically ask for them).

I) What do I do if I see a typo, broken image, or broken link?
If the typo, broken image, or link is in an important thread or a staff-made contest/event thread, then please send a private message to a Crew member/moderator and we'll clear it up ASAP!

J) Can I contact you (Zandykins) regarding a question about Dream World, or just to chat?

I prefer that all questions regarding the guild be posted in this thread. If the question is rather important or can only be answered by me, then please send me a Private Message.

Though I love to chat with many people, I do find it quite difficult to manage multiple conversations with different members. Because of this, you may find that any private messages, profile comments, or quotes regarding me may take awhile for me to respond to OR may not be answered due to being busy. If it's an urgent thing that you must tell me, please send me a Private Message because I always respond to those. Quotes/profile comments may get missed.

K) How can I become a writer for the guild?
We're always looking for new writers for the guild. If you're interested it becoming staff, be sure that you have been in the guild for at least 30 days and have a good knowledge of Gaia and it's updates. Send a PM to "Zandykins" and I will reply ASAP with an application form for you to fill out. If you fit all of the criteria, you will be added to the team. Please note, some criteria include: activity in the guild, good spelling/grammar, and prior writing experience.

If you see someone breaking a rule, please contact either a Crew Member or Captain. A list can be seen on the main page of the guild.

D) What do I do if I am getting harassed by another member of Dream World?
Send a private message to either a Crew Member or Captain if you are getting harassed by another guild member.

E) What do I do if there's an argument or dispute in a thread I've created?
Send a private message to either a Crew Member or Captain to help resolve any thread disputes where mediation is needed.



A) What is a "forum"?
A forum is repository of threads or topics.

B) What is a "thread/topic"?
A thread/topic is a place within a forum in which users can discuss various things or post various contest.

C) How do I create a new "thread/topic"?
To create a new thread/topic, go into the main forum of the guild, and click the "" button in the top left corner of the forum.

D) How do I post in a current "thread/topic"?
To post in a current thread/topic, click the link of the thread/topic within the forum, and click the " button in the top left corner.

E) Why can't I post in certain "threads/topics"?
Certain threads/topics are "locked". This means that only staff members can post in these forums. Threads are often locked as it is unnecessary for future posts from regular members to be made in the thread/topic OR the thread has broken rules.

F) What type of threads/topics are allowed in Dream World?

G) Am I allowed to create an art shop, role-play, Gaia-related advertisement, or debate thread?
Yes you are. All Gaia-related threads that follow the rules will be allowed 99.9% of the time.

H) Am I allowed to bump a thread or create a bump thread?
Thread bumps can occur once per 24 hours with the only exception of this bump thread, which can be bumped multiple times in a day. Please do not create another bump thread or multiple bumps as they will be locked or deleted.

I) Why can't I access the Staff Headquarters forum?
The Staff Headquarters forum is a staff-only forum which means that only staff members can access it.

J) I notice that some threads are "sticky" or are "announcement". What does this mean?
Sticky (or stickied) and announcement (or announcements) threads are threads that are appended to the top of the forum. Stickied threads are permanently appended (unless modified manually), while announcement threads will remove their status and no longer be appended once they have been pushed back by newer announcements.

K) Is it possible for one of my threads to get "sticky"?
Unfortunately no. Stickied threads are only created by staff members and usually pertain to important threads that need to remain appended.

L) Is it possible for one of my threads to get "announcement"?
Yes. From time to time, popular or interesting threads may be set to "announcement" to attract more people into reading them. Any appended "announcement" will most likely be a member-made thread. If you are interested in having your thread at the top of the forum, send me a Private Message and if the thread follows the TOS, I will try to put it on there. Please note, the average time a thread stays appended will be around 2-7 days (may vary).
