The planet Taluss is well known for being a haven for the lawless. Centuries ago, a massive space battle took place over the once fertile jungle world of Taluss. The resulting debris from the battle has covered every square inch of the planet, with mounds of it rising as high as mountains today. The cities and roads are built into, on top of, and out of wrecked ship parts from ships that have crashed here for centuries. Entire Imperial Battleships are now massive cities, filled with gambling dens, black market dealers, and taverns aplenty.

This planet is also highly toxic in certain areas, with vast lakes, rivers, and streams of toxic chemicals and fuel that has collected over the centuries. It is also considered one of the most lawless planets in the galaxy, and most authorities are content to let the criminals land on the planet, and keeping an eye for those that leave. Few are ever given the jurisdiction ( or a death sentence) to persue a criminal to the planet's surface.

Also, due to odd gravity fluctuations, only smaller ships and freighters can land on or stay in orbit of the planet. larger ships, and the space station that once orbited have all crashed to the surface, pulled down by their own mass.
