I once asked myself when i started watching animes ¿what kind of anime i am searching for? my idea is that people could choose an anime becouse of the title, becouse of a picture they saw, becouse they saw it in an amv, becouse they were told about it by somebody and becouse by pure luck you ended up finding that kind of anime (this happened to me a lot of times). With my friends we exchange animes we saw or are watching. Most of the time, my friends find comedy anime, normal life anime or some action with comedy anime. But me, for some reaso, i am bound to find horror or gore animes most of the times, even if i don't intend to find that kind of animes. I end up watching them if either the story or the fights or the character it has are interesting, most of the time i end up liking it, sometimes i see them but i dislike some parts. But, when i search for animes i always search of this kind: Fantasy, with good fights, sometimes with jokes, with a story thast it's so well made that i can't resist not watching it (i sometimes regreat finding one becouse it takes all of my time away, but in the end i am happy).
Things i would prefear not watching a lot in animes: Too much ecchi or fanservice (i can handle a bit if it's in a joking way, but when it's the main thing of the anime, it begins to get boring), story less anime or not well estructurated (excluding the animes that are exclusive to jokes since they sometimes don't need a solid story, just a bunch of good jokes), too much yaoi.
Animes i have seen so far:
-Asura cryin (it was interesting, not the best i saw, but interesting)
-Zero no tsukaima (sometimes it got too ecchi, but it represented something i have dreamed about since i was a kid, to live in a world like that, unfortunately it's impossible)
-Deadman wonderland (it was quiet interesting the use they gave to blood)
-Toradora (this was precented to me, i saw it becouse of the jokes, i am not into romantic animes)
-Lucky star (it had good jokes)
-Pandora hearts (it was good but i didn't liked the end of it)
-Soul eater (same as pandora hearts)
-Spice and wolf (even if it's romantic, i just can't resist the medieval time, i like it)
-Higurashi no naku koro ni (when i started i just wanted to keep watching just to understand what the hell was going on)
-Baccano (an anime that showed me that it doesn't only exist linear stories)
-Neon genesis evangelion (one of the first animes i saw)

And many more i can recall names or i am watching and haven't seen enough yet.

So, what about you guys? how you decide to watch an anime and what kind of animes you like or are attracted to? And if you have any recommendation post them, i am always open to new things.

Extra thing: There was an anime that was so vizzare and with such a stupid and ilogic begining that i stopped watching it before completing the first chapter, i saw the first five minutes and i stopped watching it (that is a record for me, sometimes i stop watching an anime after two or three chapters), i can't even remember the name (i was so bad that it just got eareased of my head)

Have you ever watched AnoHana? It's really good for eleven episodes.

Anohana? never heard of that one, what kind of anime is that?




And to Akari Ryou ZX, yeah, i know to many animes with really long and hard to remember names. And i have a list of animes to watch that's really long. I can't see them becouse another anime catches my attention.

Animes i have on stand by:
-Sayonara zetsubou sensei, it's a weired anime of a teacher with the habbit to suicide, his horrible fate is that 100% of his suicide attempts end in failure, this anime showed me that's possible to make a joke with everything (most random thing so far, a parody of the fusion dance from Dragon ball, how it ended up there? i don't know)
-To aru majutsu no index, my friend recommended it to me and it seems interesting.


there are many others animes in stand by for me.

Rurouni Kenshin was amazing, no? >:3

But anyway...

...Wow. X3 I was planning to watch Sayonara but I didn't think it'd be like that weird. X3

I'm waiting to finish my other animes to watch these:
-Gunslinger Girl (No clue, found it on youtube. :3)
-Rave Master (*face palm)


And, curse my friends, here are some that seem/are a bit over the top:
-Kannazuki no MIko (Kannaduki?)
-Onegai Teacher
-Cross
-SGT Frog
-Elfen Lied (very bloody though)
And something that had "Yoko" in it... I didn't read/watch anymore after seeing a bit.

Rave Master was definitely Mashima's best work. I keep expecting much more Rave/FairyTail crossovers though. Well, other than the appearance of Plue.
