 Starlin sat by the river, staring across. He was tired, the sun was hot, and he was getting to be hungry. He should hunt soon, but the exhaustion and the warmth of the sun were making him sleepy. He found himself thinking about his parents, about his brother, and about his life in general. He'd become kind of a bad boy there for a while and he wondered how much of that was show and how much of it was because he really wanted to be bad.
After a few minutes of staring, he found himself unable to stay upright any longer and stretching, laid himself in the grass. He rolled onto his back and let the sun warm his belly. Hopefully, there wasn't anybody around to attack him. He doubted it, as his brother was usually the only one around, and he could almost always hear him long before he caught up to him. He began to doze lazily in the sun, his eyes closing.

After a luxurious moment, Pollux slipped fully into the river and swam across, the water rippling around his sleek form as the slight current tugged him downstream a ways as he swam across. Once on the other side, Pollux turned towards his sleeping brother, his fur still dripping with water. He waited until he was right next to Starlin before shaking the water out of his fur, making sure some droplets spattered his brother before he sat down, nearly on Starlin's tail.
Wakey wakey little brother." Pollux called in a sing song voice as he began licking his forepaw and swiping it across his horns.

Starlin woke with a start, the cold water making for an unpleasant awakening. "Little brother my a**. We're twins remember? Same birthday and all that? besides, I'm bigger than you." Sleep made his grumbling sound more ferocious than it truly was. As he stood and stretched to his full height, he was indeed the teeny tiniest bit bigger than Pollux, but that could have been just that he was sitting uphill. Either way, it was mostly just noise.
"Couldn't you just leave me in peace?" the sun was warming his fur and drying the small damp spots a little puffier than others giving his fur a slightly uneven texture.

Pollux simply yawned, turning towards his brother as he did so and lazily lay down on the ground. "Nope. Never. You're stuck with me." He chose to ignore the 'being bigger' comments and let his eyes drift shut as he settled his chin onto his rather large paws.
Pollux leaned in, towards his brother, halfway enjoying the warmth, the other half just doing it to annoy his twin. "Lighten up, Starlin. Thought you'd want some sleeping company.. Course I dunno how much I'll enjoy being around your snores.. but I thought I'd be gracious and try." Pollux teased, keeping his eyes still shut and barely moving his mouth to talk.

Star grumbled, annoyance mostly superficial. He was tired and he was always a super grump when he was tired. Vengance filling his mind, he turned to wade out into the water. Rolling to dampen his fur completely, he splashed his brother drenching him in water completely.

Pollux rolled lazily onto his back, letting out a deep breath as he stretched his long body much like a cat and opened his mouth in a yawn. Noticing the absence of his brother's warm fur , Polli whirled his head around, opening his golden eyes. "Starlin? Where ya go?" Just as he opened his mouth to question his brother's motives, after finding him dripping wet and standing dangerously close, he was splashed, completely drenching his just dry fur. Pollux got up, a mischievous grin on his face as he faced his brother. "This calls for war..." He growled playfully baring his teeth, his eyes sparking in amusement as he shook the water out of his fur, and eyed his brother.

Star growled low, backing away and nearly losing his footing as he hit a rather quickly flowing patch of the river. Once he was sure his footing was safe, he grinned widely and took a deep breath. He winked at his brother and dove under the water, his pale coat making it difficult to spot him.
He was a good swimmer, better than most, and could fairly easily swim a small river like this. His lungs began to ache a little as he let the current drag him downstream a little before letting himself float ashore. He was still on the same side of the river, but he was hidden among the trees nearby. He snuck closer to see if his brother had been able to track him.

Pollux grinned at his brother's growl, flicking his thick furred tail in amusement. He was about to pounce when Starlin dunked underwater and dissappeared from Polli's sight. The tan male searched through the depths of the waters, trying to spot the other tan male in the water, unaware that his brother had actually circled around to land behind him.
Pollux swept his forepaw through the water, trying to feel around for his brother. Not producing any results, Pollux poked his head into the water after taking a deep breath. He opened his eyes underwater and searched around, looking both upstream and downstream.

Star grinned to himself, his tail twitching slightly in anticipation. He snuck up behind him while his brother's head was underwater and lept onto his back, pinning him down, but leaving him space to lift his head.
