Rules
Read them and follow them

Spamming
Spamming is posting in any and every thread just so you can get gold. Posting in a thread about something that's off topic is spamming!
If you are dying to post something ridiculous and full of nonsense, post in the Spammage or OOC thread. Every guild has one.

Cybering
Cybering is RPing the factor of Sex. This is wrong and not good for the guild! Anything that leads to it will get you banned. Some of our members are young, or have very strict beliefs regarding sex. To allow members to do this would be to create a hostile or uncomfortable environment for many of the members. It also breaks the Gaia TOS. So breaking this rule may not only get you banned from the guild, but from all of Gaia.
[Message from Aeyu: Not only will us LETTING you cyber ban YOU, but it will also put US on the line, and WE too will be banned....when i say WE, i mean ME....if you really insist on cybering, either take it to pm's, or emails.....i understand some teenagers in the need of relieving oneself, but please, don't do it in the guild...]

God Moding
God moding is when you RP yourself as all-powerful. Don't do this because it's un-fair and the other person will...
A: Either complain to us.
B: Quit the guild.
C: God Mod back and no one will die, win, loose, and such.
Create your character don't copy from the book. That sums it up.

Use Brackets for Out Of Character (OOC)
brackets means- {} [] [[]] {{}} (()) () -
Being OOC without brackets might get you banned!

Cussing
You may cuss or swear, if you'd like but do not over use these words!! Curse words are expletives. Meaning they should only be used to express strong emotion. Using them just because you can is not only a butchery of the english language, but inconsiderate of many of the other members.
Censors are also appreciated (replacing letters of the profanity with symbols, such as @, #, *, etc)

Respect others
Don't tell people what to do. Let the RP flow and don't take over the RP your having with some one. They'd like to feel important too.

Be Literate
Come on people, we want to understand you!! Don't use l33t speak too much and try to spell words correctly. If you don't, we won't understand you and we won't want to RP with you.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO USE PUNCTUATIONS. [Message from Aeyu: O_o As my mind is slightly SLOW this morning, i hate to ask but wtf is a punctuation.... question ]

Speak up
Anything you don't like? Post it in OOC, just remember to respect and treat others how you want to be treated.

RPing

Aeyu's Rping info.

No-
Killing (Godmoding)
Flaming (Being pissed off at someone)
/Minimal Cursing
Cybering
Limes (i don't want to go into an RP and read all about some oral fluff)
Spam (unless its in a spam-dedicated thread or in double-brackets)
Being Random--ex}

Quote:
Jim walked to the end of the room and turned around.

Quote:
Amy threw a monkey at Jim.

Keep it in the appropriate forum (I dont want to read about how some chick is sleeping in her dormitory in the Great Hall forum)

be literate, or semi-literate

Revised from Aeyu's original A Good Telling Off to EVERYBODY Thread

This is at least a SEMI LITERATE guild.

Here's an example of non-literate RP:

Quote:
alyeth loked around rode her nimbus *while flying* she looks for quaffle.

Heres an example of how we want you to roleplay in semi-literate style :

Quote:
Alyeth mounted her Nimbus 2000 and kicked off from the ground,

sending clouds of dust swirling around the spot she was just standing on.

Once she was fifty feet into the air, she looked around for the quaffle.

That was just an example.

You can be more or less detailed than that, but anything else will not be counted as semi-literate at all.

Please do not overuse...

  • Asterisks **
  • Dash marks --
  • < >
  • Any form of cheap RP-ing marks.

Please limit their uses to minor things, such as quidditch practice, or other insignificant RP.

Tips & Reminders
Aeyu's Help for RPing

Use QUOTATIONS
Aeyu
"Hello!!!!! How may I help you?" Asked the headmistress.

You may use any kind of tense you wish.
First Tense
I looked around.

Third Tense
The headmistress looked around.

You make more friends if your character is nice to people.
If somebody is beating you up, ok, well flee to the hospital wing. Remember, no killing, and no godmoding.
Keep all gore, and anything gruesome limited please. sad I get sick easily.

That's all for now!

Quoting

Sir Pekelili's Problems with Quoting

When to Quote
~When the person's post which you are responding to is not on the same page or a few posts above yours
~To bring up something previously said by someone, to quote some famous line or such

When Not to Post
~When the person's post whom you are interacting with is right above yours or a few above yours, instead just say [[To Aeyu]] or whomever you are addressing
~please, never ever continue quoting each other until each post really only has one new line of material but is a page long due to all the quoting! It becomes very tiresome.

Examples of this can be found on pages
1, 2, and 3 of the Gryffindor common room where I first decided to make this point. (No offense to the Gryffindor HoH, ' M a n g o.)

For those of you that don't know or can't recall what it is, this is quoting:
I
For those of you that don't know or can't recall what it is, this is quoting:

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what House I am in?
If you have already submitted your quiz in a pm to Aeyu or one of the mods, then they will pm back and tell you your house. If you haven't taken the quiz, take it.

What if I didn't turn in my homework?
That is all up to your teacher to decide whether to dock your house points or give you detention

How active should I be?
How active you should be depends on the activeness of the guild. You need to be active enough that when your are involved in an RP, people do not need to wait on you. When something comes up, you need to know as soon as possible. Everyone should visit this guild and post something once a week, preferably more. If you are the type that is very busy, please state that somewhere, so at least a few of us know why you haven't been posting. Otherwise, you must have a fairly reasonable explanation for your absence. To add to that, we would like each member to have at least one post. I won't mention any names, but there are a couple or more members who have 0 posts. This makes me very unhappy. =( So please do post at least once, to turn my sad smile the other way around.
Thank you for your time.

If you have and questions, post it in this subforum and someone will answer it as soon as possible.
