 {from aquarium} As Gavin and Rose came up onto the dock for the ship, laughing away at his silliness, Gavin himself stopped to stare up at the size of the ship. Even one hundred years ago, the ships were huge. "Woa!" He said in awe. "Look at the size of this thing! It's bigger than palkia itself!" He laughed, trying to block the sun from his eyes as he stared a bit longer. "Let's go see the deck." He started to return to being a kid on his first journey, excited about every new thing. While they had ports and boats in Olivine, there was something about an old ship that was far more fascinating. It carried history with it. The sheer majesty of ancient people harnessing the tactics of sailing across the wide ocean.

Rosalinda (rose) Moore  Gavin was an interesting boy. He managed to make her smile. That was rare these past few days, but he managed the impossible. "Gavin, in all seriousness, a captains hat would be very sexy on you" She teased and smiled a little more. The more she was with Gavin the less she thought of Shiloh. It was for the best. As they arrived at the ship, Rose looked at it curiously, it was really old for sure. Her eyes widened a little, but he managed to keep her cool. " Come on slow poke" She pulled him along toward the ship. Was rose actually getting excited about something again?
Rose watched Gavin and rolled her eyes a little. He really was childlike. It was nice. She smiled and hurried to the deck with him looking around and twirled taking in everything. " Wow~" She said in awe as she twirled till she was dizzy. " It's amazing!"

"Isn't it though?" Gavin laughed, studying every piece he saw. "The mast is full of nail holes. Probably from pinning on a gold coin. Or was it silver? Anyway, the idea was that it paid for passage across the sea and would protect them. Looks like it worked for this ship," He laughed again, taking her hand to brush against the wood. "It's all been laminated or something over it now to prevent any wrought. But you can still feel every ridge of it. Good ship." He looked on higher up, trying to see the crow's nest, but only managing to be blinded by the sun. "I wonder what kind of pokemon would come aboard with the sailors. I mean, I don't think they really caught any back then. Maybe if they could befriend and bring strong water types like swampert or feraligator. Pokemon like that could help with heavy lifting and get you out of a bind in a bad storm. Kind of makes you wonder about how far we've come in our two worlds, doesn't it?" He smiled at her. That endless smile like the sky. His honesty and compassion couldn't help but shine through that smile. Nor could any affection he might try to hide or disguise. That smile revealed every thought in his head. "As for the hat, then, I'll have to get one before we go!" He bellowed a laugh.

Rosalinda (rose) Moore What was it that made people like him so happy? It was fun though. She could relate to him so well. It was fun. "Good, 'cause you need the hat~ If you don't buy it I will~!" She teased him and smiled. His hand was warm as it griped hers to brush against the hard wood. You could feel the history within the wood. It was amazing. She whispered. " Maybe a legendary would help the sailors" Looking up to him, she watched the smile she knew him for. It showed his honesty, his loyalty, how perfect he could be. It was so sweet it even made her smile some. For a guy she barely hung around he sure knew how to make her smile. " It does" She agreed and looked back to the wood then the floors. Smiling, Rose took his hand and pulled him along to the front as she looked around from there. " can you imagine all the sailors who stood right here looking out to sea just basking in its glory. It must have been amazing" She said and looked back to him. " If I could go back in time, I'd like to be on this ship" Her eyes shinned as she looked at him.

Gavin laughed again as Rose made a teasing comment about the hat. As they stared out onto the open ocean, he listened and thought about what she said. "I don't think I'd like to go back in time," He said. "Because, if I did, and I couldn't get back... Well, I'd never be able to see anyone again. I wouldn't be able to see my parents or brothers, or aunt A," He stopped only a brief moment to look over at Rose for his last listing, "I'd never be able to see you again." His voice softened, his smile momentarily starting to fade before it returned again. "And if I'm not here, who's going to cheer you up and wear silly hats?" He tried to hold back a laugh and was, for the most part, unsuccessful. "People think that the only way to have a great adventure, or glory for all of history is to go back in time, and that, that's not how it works. There's still a whole world just waiting to be explored. There's always something to be discovered, something to be found, or friends to be made. And it's only when we stop believing that there's nothing more adventurous in this world is when we loose our chance at glory. We are history, we are making it. All we have to do is keep an open heart." His hands gestured around at the ocean, as though he were describing a painting in front of them. The sea breeze that blew in rolled over to emphasize his point further and object only when his voice became too dramatic in his thoughts. It was as though he could really see what he was describing, that he could see each person he met claiming to fame as they stood there on a piece of history.

Rosalinda (rose) Moore Rose smiled sweetly to him. He was laughing quite a bit. It was pretty musical though, so Rose didn't mind it one bit. When he spoke once more, she turned leaning against the guard rail of the ship as she listened to him. He was right though. A small blush crept it's way onto her cheeks as he mentioned her. His hat statement made her laugh and nudge him. " Maybe I could cheer myself up if I bought myself a silly hat! You never know!" She replied but grew silent as he continued. He was right. She had to keep her heart open to new things, new experiences that come her way, and new ideas should be accepted. When she looked at him a little more, she smiled and stood straight hugging him. " Gavin, you're too smart for your own good" She giggled a little and looked up to him. " I should give you three metals. one for being a smarty pants. Two for cheering me up, and three for being silly" Letting him go she backed up and looked out to the ocean. " One day I will sail the ocean with my pokemon.. It will be a new adventure~"

Gavin laughed once more as she hugged him, listing off all his earned medals. "And when do I get one for being cool?" He teased, listening to her next idea. "A new adventure sailing with pokemon..." He repeated. "That sounds like an idea!" His voice built up with excitement. "One day, I'll beat the pokemon league. I'll meet all sorts of pokemon, make new friends, and we'll win it together!" He looked over the ocean. It'd be a hard road, he knew that; but that's what made it fun. "I took on it once--in Hoenn. But I didn't get very far," He laughed at himself. "I lost to a girl from kanto who said I need to get closer to my pokemon and find my true inner strength. I used to get sad abou losing, but now, I don't mind it so much. If I had won, I would have never run into everyone at the school or made friends like that. The best part about starting over, is picking up on where you went wrong the first time," He smiled out at the sea, remembering all the pokemon he'd left with either professor elm or his family to help with the business.

Rosalinda (rose) Moore "You get that one when I decide you get it" Sticking her tongue out she giggled and listened to him. Man could this guy ever talk a lot. finally she managed to get something in. " I wanted to be the best contest coordinator, but finally I just want to do my best and have fun with it. Pippy loves to show off, and as long as he's happy, and as long as I get to dress him up, then I like it. Either way, I want to travel the world and meet new people, make new friends. Start a new life in a new place." Pausing she looked over to Gavin. " I came to the school to be around Landon and Shiloh at first, but my sister stole Landon away, and with Shiloh gone, I didn't have much of a reason to stay, but I guess I can manage without him. He'll be fine... I'm sure of it. " Looking out to the ocean one last time she smirked. " Plus I need to move on and keep an open heart. Who knows what life will throw my way." She turned to him and smiled. " I'm getting hungry. Lets go eat. okay?"

Shiloh quietly followed along behind Landon as they wandered down below in the ship. The older trainer insisted that they go off the main path to do their own tour of the ship, and Shiloh kind of didn't want to. But he had no choice. Landon had been such a great friend over the past few weeks he had been out of school that he couldn't just say no to the guy. He took in a deep breath, his heart pounding as he looked around as the sounds of leaking water echoed around them. He held tight to the back of Landon's jacket, biting his lip as he kept his eyes open. "Maybe... Maybe we should go back.." He whispered, the fear evident in the young man's voice.
Landon had glanced over his shoulder, grinning about the adventure, "No way, man! This is totally awesome! What if we see a ghost or something? Or even better... Ghost Pokemon!" His grin grew even more as Shiloh sighed at his excitement. Why did people always find these sort of things exciting? It made no sense to the young guy, but then again.. He really could care less about the answer.. He just wanted to get back to where it was safe!

Gavin smiled at Rose's request, about to speak in concurrence when his stomach spoke for him. "Ya," He gave a nervous laugh. "Guess we better get something to eat." He took her hand to lead them off the ship, stopping just short and snapping his fingers as he remembered something. "Almost forgot my hat," He hurried to grab a classic white captain's hat. He fixed it onto his head, giving a bit of a grin as he pictured what he looked like. "Okay, now we can go," He smiled. {Exit to port}

Rosalinda (rose) Moore As Gavin agreed to go eat, Rose wrapped her arm around his. She was glad to have a great friend like Gavin. But while she was talking to him, she could swear she heard Landon and Shiloh not too far away. Why was it that she had to even hear him everywhere she went now. Putting her head on Gavin's shoulder she sighed and looked up to him. " Okay captain, lead me to a restaurant before your stomach eats me" She laughed and headed off with him.

He didn't know how much more of the darkness he could really take. If anybody really know Shiloh, they'd know that he was terrified of the darkness, especially things that crept around in it unseen. He gulped when he heard a low howling like sound and he quickly clung to Landon's back. "Please, please let's just go back!" He begged as he hid his face into his friend's back, hiding his feared expression. He could hear the low laugh echoing through his friend's body as he continued on through the darkness. "Come on, Shiloh, man up! You just got back from the hospital, live a little before you end up there again!" He joked, looking over his shoulder at the boy and sticking his tongue out at him.
They continued walking, Shiloh frantically looking about for some form of light so he could grasp his surroundings, but it was pointless. He tried to keep his breathing down until a cold hand landed right on his shoulder, causing him to scream at the top of his lungs. It was a scream heard round the world, it was that loud. He had jumped into Landon's arms, trembling in terrifying fear and hiding his face in his neck as a light shined on them, illuminating the haunter floating near them, "What do you boys think you're doing? This is restricted area! Get back to the main path, please!" And with that, they were led back to the path, back to light. And Shiloh would never forgive his friend for leading him down that way.
"Do you want to go watch the competitions? I'll buy you an ice cream." The older boy grinned, looking over his shoulder to him again before patting him on the back. He knew Shiloh would agree to go, anything that got him out of this boat... And on top of that, the kid loved his ice cream. The two of them soon made their way towards the competition area.
