Ren was created by a scientist, who wanted his own son. He was too poor to adopt and his wife was infertile, so he decided to create one instead. It was a complete success, and Ren acted like a normal boy. Though he was bullied in school a lot, causing him to have a bit of anxiety issues. But he pulled through okay, until he hit high school. There, it was like a whole other world. More kids, more people to bully him. Of course it happened. He was beaten, insulted, and when they found out he wasn't human, he just couldn't take it anymore. His concerned parents decided to have him switch schools once he hit 17. And when he hit 18, they died. So now he's stuck here.
