Corn-Mother, Mother-Earth, Aganippe ("the Mare who destroys mercifully", "Night-Mare"), The Mother, Pluto ("Abundance") representing my role as long life and harvest, Chloe ("the green shoot"), that invokes my powers of ever-returning fertility, as well as Europa ("broad face or eyes") at Lebadaea of Boeotia. I was the nurse of Trophonios to whom a chthonic cult and oracle was dedicated.

I'm a woman, obviously.

To look like one. A mortal, I mean. When I wander around I have short blond hair, I wear glasses, and I have blue eyes. I usually wear clothes that are comfortable and movable; it makes work and the such much easier, you know? Lets see, my shoes are like my clothes: comfortable. I'm five foot seven and a little on the heavy side, weighing in at a hundred and fifty pounds. But hey, I'm not Aphrodite! I have a rather soft face with the occasional freckle... but that's what you get when you're in the sun often, right?

To the harvest, who presids over grains, the fertility of the earth, and the seasons. Wait, there's more. I'm also the Goddess of Law and Order, Goddess of the Afterlife, and I preside also over the sanctity of marriage, the sacred law, and the cycle of life and death.

I mean, I turned out fine, so they can't be horrible parents. ｐｌａｙｉｎｇ ｎｉｃｅ ↘↘ Chiron, Zeus and Poseidon are my brothers, Hera and Hestia are my sisters. Hades is also my brother, and my son-in-law. ｈａｖｉｎｇ ｍｙ ｅｙｅｓ ↘↘ My immortal children are Persephone and Zagreus, and my other children are Katie Gardner, Miranda Gardiner, and Eli Whitney. I also have two lovely grandchildren, Melinoe and Macaria. ｈｅａｒｔ ｈｅａｒｔ ↘↘ I get along pretty well with most people, I find. I'm a relatively well tempered person, so I really get along with everybody. Aside from the one exception, I don't believe I could ever get along with him. Ah, well, onto brighter things! I've had children with Zeus... we aren't married, though. He is with Hera... ｂｒｅａｋｉｎｇ ａｒｍｓ↘↘ Somebody I hate? Honestly and truthfully hate? The only one that comes to mind is Hades. Oh what I would like to do to him. He stole my daughter from me, you know. Swept her up and held her hostage and then married her. I'm not an excessively violent person, but I could absolutely destroy him! I would drop him down to Tartarus and leave him with in the grips of the titans and actually watch as he writhed in pain as he was brutally abused by the titans and- ah... well, lets not go there, okay? Phew, okay. I'm better now.

xxxxxxxxxxxxLIVEforeverWITHme ｗａｎｔ ｔｈｅｍ ↘↘ My likes? Well, I love a good harvest, and cereal. Cereal is very good for you, you know! Hmm, I also like plants, and good farmers. There is nothing wrong with a good farmer who takes good care of their crops! I love my daughter, a lot, and all of my children. And I really like agriculture. Hmm... that's really it. ｇｏ ｄｉｅ ↘↘ Hades. I dislike Hades greatly. Then there's pesticides. Those are horrible. How dare anybody have the audacity to challenge the nature of things? If weeds are meant to grow, then they will grow. If there are crops that you need then you can pull the weeds by hand! Ah, bad farmers fall under this too. There are few things worse than a farmer who can't take care of their crops. Hmm... There really isn't much left... I guess I dislike people who trample on flowers. And something about the prospect of aiming so high that you miss the beautiful flower at your feet bothers me. People should see the beauty in every moment they have. ｈａｖｉｎｇ ｐｅｒｋｓ ↘↘ Ah, who I am. I was wondering when you'd ask. Well, I'd have to say I'm very much a "mom", as some people would say it; I constantly nag Persephone for marrying Hades. Any mother would though, right? I do have to admit, though, that I'm rather proud. Well, only when it comes to farming. And, ah, cereal. I rather like it. It's very good for you, you know! At least, when it's made properly. Uh, I guess I can be rather absent-minded; I get entranced by beautiful things, I'd like to say. And sometimes it holds me for longer than I realize. Despite this, I can be stern. After all, I am a mother... And a grandmother. See, when a mother is strict about things, it's only because she cares... and I care a lot. If I have to give a little bit of tough love to get my message across, but it saves you in the long run, then I won't forget it. I'm rather generous, and I highly respect my brothers (with one exception). I do my best to be kind, because sometimes, it seems, some people just weren't loved enough by their mothers. I do try and fill the gap with my own kindness. Hmm, unlike some of the other Gods, I really do love my demi-god children. I do my best for all my children. ｇｏｉｎｇ ｂａｃｋ ↘↘ Oh, you want my story? Well, I guess I can tell you. Most know these stories anyways.
In some of my earliest accounts I was triune goddess representing the Virgin (Kore), the Mother (Pluto "Abundance"), and the Crone ('Persephone the Destroyer'), representing the cycle of birth, life, and death. In later legends, my name Pluto was transferred to the god of the underworld, and elements of Kore and the name Persephone became associated with my daughter.
Another thing about me, is that I was known as the Aganippe "the Mare who destroys mercifully", a black winged horse worshiped by certain cults. In this aspect my idols (such as one found in Mavrospelya, the Black Cave, in Phigalia) were portrayed as mare-headed with a mane entwined with Gorgon Snakes. This aspect was also associated with Anion (or Arion) whom Heracles rode, who later inspired tales of Pegasus. Pretty cool, huh?
I, as an agricultural goddess, appear rarely in the epic poetry. In Homer's Odyssey I am the blond-haired goddess who is separating the chaff from the grain. The harvesters must pray to Zeus-Chthonios, of course that's chthonic Zeus, and I so that the crop will be full and strong. In the Theogony of Hesiod I am the daughter of Kronus and Rhea.
Persephone, Queen of the underworld, is daughter of Zeus and myself.
Then there's the rape of my daughter... stolen from the cornfields by Hades and stolen from me for eternity... The thing is, at the beginning of the autumn, when the corn of the old crop is laid on the fields my daughter ascends and is reunited with me, for at this time the old crop and the new meet each other.
