It broke Raeth's heart when he was expelled. He could no longer see Amanda even though he knew now that it was love. He returned home where his parents welcomed him with open arms. He was never himself. A darkness grew within him since he returned to Valeria. One day while he sat on the crater that brought him into this world, he found a ring. He placed it on his hand and his power grew stronger. He could feel its energy, he could feel its power, and he could feel its influence. He vowed that day he would return and destroy all who opposed him, destroy all who humiliated him, and destroy all who took Amanda from him. He trained and practiced with the Redwings until the time came where he was the top duelist of Valeria. He returned to the Academy with an evil spirit in his heart. He dueled everybody and everyone that lost became part of the shadow realm. The Dark Dragon an evil brought over from Valeria challenged the academy. With Raeth on one end destroying the many and the dragon on the other finishing off the last. Raeth reached the Dark Dragon, but the dragon was dueling the one person Raeth cared about more than ever: Amanda. She was about to be defeated. Reath tried to step in, but to no success. The dragon banished her to the Shadow Realm. But before she vanished completly she begged Raeth to save her. But he knew he could not and confessed his love. He vowed once more to save her from the shadow realm! The dragon made a deal with Raeth. If Raeth could defeat him and located the Ancient 7 Redwing Monsters he would free her from the Shadows. He accepted this challenge. Raeth still not himself began the duel.
"I shall begin this duel" Raeth yelled. "I summon Redwing Flare! Making me lose 500 Lp. 2200/1500. I then set two facedowns and end my turn."

I'll activate his effect to special summon another one to my field. I then sacrafice him for Summoned Skull, I then remove it from play to special summon another one. I activate dark hole. IT destroys all monsters on the field. I then activate burial from a different dimmension to return one peten back to my graveyard. I then special summon Dark Armed Dragon. I remove two petens to destroy your two face downs. And attack directly. I end with one face down. No, I am down to 200 life points" He gasped. Raeth was about to lose again. He knew it. Darkness corrupted Raeth's heart and a shadow being took control. "Shadow Magic, aid thy draw." he yelled and drew a card. The card was different than most. It was a card that he created with his mind. "I activate the Dark Ascension. By paying half of my life points I can remove from the game my entire deck and my entire extra deck to special summon one of the Ancient Knights." I summon forth Ancient Knight of Xellistia. He gains 1000 attack for each removed from play Redwing monster. His attack is 27000. And Xellistia cannot be destroyed by card effects. Also if he would be destroyed I can return a rfg card to my graveyard and not have it be destroyed. Finish things now!" He roared and from that moment Raeth and the Darkness won there first duel.
