Raeth began to grow up. He was now the age of 16 and now was meant to fight in the war. His swordsmanship increased in level. The queen was very pleased. On his last day of training before the first great war was upon them His Father and His Mother...took him down to the crater and began to explain everything.

"Raeth, listen to us." His mother explained "We have something for you." She handed him a small deck box. He grabbed it excitedly, his parents were poor and rarely gave him anything. He opened it and experience power like he has never seen. The deck glowed red and from the box a small fairy came from it.

"My name is Aiora" Came the little voice "I am to be your duel spirit" she explained. Raeth turned to his parents to see if they saw her, but they had not.

"wow," was all he could say. Raeth took up his deck and placed it in a dueldisk that his father had created. There were not many duelists on Valeria but those who are, were just kids. He summoned his first Monster, but it was more powerful than he was. "Sky King of the Redwings" Its natural power was far greater than he realized. His parents took him aside and told him it was time to enter the academy. There are three types of people in the world they explained. Militia, Royalty, and Duelists. Therefore, if he was truly destined to be a duelist he must enter the Academy. The shipped him off to East Academy. There he entered and was humiliated. His dueling skills were awful. No one paid him any attention. He returned home on a break and they decided to transfer him to a different academy. One that did not participate in the championships like the other five.

He was just as bad here as anywhere. The days he dueled he was awful the days he didn't was bullied into dueling into being awful. One day when an ancient prophecy was about to be fulfilled a duelist by the name Amanda came to him. And was his first true friend. Soon after he was expelled for getting bad grades and not ever winning a duel.
