Bio: Derek lived with his divorced mother and younger sister. Having been separated from his father had a great impact on the man as a child, whom if ignorant of his past wouldn't truly understand him. Striving to care for both the most important women of his life, he ended up doing and participating in odd, dangerous jobs that often more than enough threatened to throw him in prison. On one fragile attempt at selling an exotic painting to another country, he was nearly caught by the betrayal of his own 'gang' of workers. Angered, the sixteen year old lashed out with his mental powers. That was the first time he had killed and used his hidden Plant Manipulation ever, and on anyone. Horrified, he detached himself from his family in a weak attempt to keep them safe from any accidents. But after a few years of participating in the Mental Asylum, he returned to find his mother in her deathbed, and his sister with her own unique powers. Struck with grief, he promised to protect her with every fiber of his being as he turned back to the Asylum to further study and have his sister take part in the school. Several years later, the two of them turned into care takers, and his overall personality hardened and changed foreign.

Bio: When Derek left unexpectedly, Scarlet was hurt in many ways than one. Frustrated at the lack of care, she loathed her brother because he was the second man to have walked out on her and their mother's life. Furious, she forced herself to care over the previous years until she discovered her 'problem' to talk with animals. She was intrigued at the thought, which is why when Derek came back and explained everything during her mother's passing, it wasn't difficult to believe. After mourning the death of her mother, Scarlet joined and traveled with her older brother to the Mental Asylum and after several years, became a care taker.

Bio: It takes a special type of man to master necromancy, to be that comfortable with the dead. Maxwell, or Max is that type of man, Max discovered his powers on the battlefield during a special ops action in the Philippines about 10 years ago, and after discharging from the navy Max came to the asylum to recount his ability to raise the dead. Max was a death dealer for a long while, and he probably is a monster though he cares for life, but only for those in his charge. Max takes his powers a little to seriously, enjoying dressing and acting like the old necromancers of legend. He looks after all the students of the asylum as best he can, but takes special joy in teaching other Necromancers
